Trust our new year is off to a great start.

I have been a silent reader and I’m unable to login but I just have to use another account to appreciate all the people here.

I started following the Canada Thread as far back as 2016 and was preparing myself for Student Visa application up until 2020 for January 2021 intake but to the glory of God I got rejected October 2020� (Trust me when I say i dotted my T’s and crossed my I’s, Lol!)

It is very important for me to have my masters abroad in 2021 (for personal reasons) so I had to look for an alternative, this was when I started making findings about UK schools. I remember joining this UK group and seeing CAS, TLS, UKVI etc. I was extremely confused and was wondering where to start from hence I read over 300 pages of the last thread so I could catch up and be current plus I had to Google the slightest thing for better understanding (did all this in a month)

Long story short, I got my Visa today!�
Received CAS - 25th November
Applied - 26th November
Biometrics - 2nd December
Decision Mail - 22nd December
Collection Mail - 4th January
Pick Up - 5th January
Ikeja TLS, Standard.

I just had to come back to thank you all!! I will also try to sort out my account issues and be a constant member that can contribute and give back by responding to people’s questions .

You can print a new bank statement, take it to TLS and pay for assisted upload. I think it will be uploaded as part of your application. A friend once forgot to upload a document, she had to go pay for them to do so.

Once you have attended biometric, you can't pay for priority visa again. All you can do is keep praying to God

You will need to get a dollar card or get someone with a dollar or pounds card to pay. There is forex limit on normal cards issued in Nigeria.

Thanks, I think you might be right though. I received collection mail shortly after I sent the paid email.

Interestingly, I also received a response from the paid email asking me to provide further details about my application. Apparently the paid email I sent had no influence on the collection mail I received.

Y'all should know that your collection mail will drop about a week to your planned travel date (as filled on the application form). Priority/Super Priority will only make decision faster. So if your planned travel date is still far away, just calm down.

Now this is my testimony, I started pursing my desire to educate myself in a foreign country in 2018, applied to the US three times but was rejected, applied to Canada for a visiting visa but was also rejected. At a point i was so depressed and almost gave us, but i had a dream, i saw my self and three other friends of mine in the Uk on a plane, i knew it was God pointing me the United Kingdom, so i applied to different schools, some rejected me because of my immigration history but one did not, so i applied to join the march 2020 batch corona came and my intake was suspended. But i still did not give up, I deferred to September, September came i was uncertain about the pandemic because i did not want to waste money, i had earlier done a tb test which had expired, so i told me self to look to November, as God may have it i applied and got my visa, i give glory to God, only he alone can do it, and i pray that for you all still believing God for your visas you will get yours IJN Amen, thank you to all our elders on this forum for your assistance I really appreciate. Pls o I need response from those that have submitted their application and or gotten visa.

Was O/level not mentioned in ur CAs? And did u upload it in ur CAs? Or is it only my sch that mentions o/level in their CAs?

After mentioning my various degrees which I have uploaded, my waec was mentioned like this:

“........English HEI sponsor has made assessment using West African Senior School Certificate with a grade 6. The student is deemed to be competent to a minimum of CEFR Level B2 in all four components.”

Does this mean I should upload it? Meanwhile everybody used o/level and I have not heard of anyone that uploaded it.

I was hoping you guys who did biometric on the 4th would get decision mail yesterday so that those of us for 7th and 8th December can begin to dream

I guess it's should be 16 month for dependant not 12 month...12month + the extra 4 month on d visa

This was why I asked so much questions earlier because I am aware the fees will be reduced. Only someone who did this and got visa can explain here.
