How are we going to encourage our children to become a lecturer when lecturers and teachers are grossly underpaid by both public and private educational institutions? I am short of words... |
Naija for the win. Go Naija, Go Super Eagles and Go bring the Trophy 🏆 home. Yes We Can 💪🏻 |
Hygiene and sanitation standards are paramount in the kitchen. We often think our own kitchen at home is where we can tolerate some unsafe food safety practices. However, food safety, hygiene and sanitation should be adhered to in all settings (industrial kitchens, production areas and homes). In Nigeria, we have a long way to go in terms of awareness of food safety management systems. I hope this awareness spreads to low-income and rural areas as well, not just in city centres. |
This is interesting to see. I guess President Trump made this possible through his threats of not funding the city of New York as the Central Government. The Governor is going to be frustrated and I hope he accomplished his electoral promises to the people in NYC. |
Asalam alaykum waramotullahi wabarakatuh OP, Thank you for the admonition and reminder. You have highlighted the mistakes most of us are making, we planning if all of us witness the next 20 years meanwhile only Allah can determine whether we will see tomorrow amongst us. May Allah make us witness more years on earth and make us the successful ones in the hereafter. Maa Salaam. |
This is an eye opener for all of us as either parents or guardians. The rate of social and moral decay in our society in worrisome. The ball is in our hands to change the narrative and bring forth better future generations that will not be influenced by the non African(western) cultures where they don't believe in disciplinary action on children if they do wrong especially after series of corrections. The children are looking up to us as parents. hence, the need to be upright and be a guide. Thank you sir, Dr Obafemi Hamzat. |
Namibia becomes a re-exporter (entrepot) of petroleum products from the $20B Dangote refinery. This is not just a win for Nigeria but also for the whole of Africa. I am sure some cartels in EMEA will not like this news. Africa should majorly consume what is produced in Africa. AfCFTA is a becoming a success story. |
Aameen. Indeed, death is the bitter truth that most of us did not like to hear. May Allah grant us long live and a beautiful hereafter. Aameen. |
This is commendable. Nigeria has maintained a trade surplus for the past five quarters, a sign of economic stability. However, inflation has not yet reached a level of stability that allows for affordable goods and services for the population. We are hopeful for more stable manufacturing processes and reduced production costs to help businesses maximise their profits. |
I am yet to understand why some RSA citizens tend to discourage pan African Collaboration with their fellow Africans. One of the reasons for the ACFTA agreement is to reduce barriers to trade among African nations thereby improving economic prosperity among Africans. Africa First!!! |
Will this protectionism policy impact the the Dollar as the major currency for International Trade? |
Impressive |
This can only be done by a country with a high degree of self sufficiency and some real economic value. This is why we need to start creating value and distinguishing ourselves amongst the committee of nations. Africa Arise! |
Way to go. PG school examination should be a case study compared with the undergraduate exams where some students can do 'La Cram La Pour La Forgot After Exams'. On the other hand, a case study could have different answers to a question as there is no singular correct answer in a case study situation. Kudos to UNILAG. |
I am glad that the oil and gas stakeholders are thinking in this direction. More refineries are coming up in a few years. |
We have not heard anything on the corruption allegation on the NCS up until the moment. I hope this is not a case of 'Animal Farm' where it was initially stated that 'All Animals are Equal'. However, after getting hold of power, It became "All Animals are Equal But Some Are More Equal Than The Other'. This is disheartening... |
Thanks @Op. May Allah continue to guide us. Aamin. |
In some democratic settings, he would have resigned honorably. But, this is Nigeria... |
Kudos to the Lagos State Government. |
I am not surprised with his comment. What else do they want from Nigerians other than to impoverish the people and widening the gap between the upper class and lower class? I guess that the politicians are now happy that we almost don't have middle-class again in our society. |
Hello Nairalanders, I am glad to have read a lot about the company. Surprisingly, I got a call from one of their agents this morning telling me that I just won a gift voucher worth $1200. The first thing I did after I got off the phone was to search for the company and alas, here we are. They should keep their gift voucher abeg. I no dey go any vacation with them. The same cycle of forcing people to be members. They guess they should have devised another legitimate means. |
Congratulations!!! |
May his soul rest in peace. Thank you sir for the sacrifices made to our dear nation. My condolences to his family and the Nigerian Navy. |
This victor is too funny ![]() |
How I wish most of the women wear this. This is a modest dressing which is very commendable. However, we both know that this is not what is seen in most societies today. Thank you for your input. 1Sharon: |
How I wish most of the women wear this. This is a modest dressing which is very commendable. However, we both know that this is not what is seen in most societies today. Thank you for your input. You can be modest w/o a hijab. Would you say the woman below isn't modest? You Muslims just take everything to the extreme.[/quote] |
Funnily, they are banning the use of head scarfs which help modesty and protect the chastity of our women. However, nothing is said about the nudity of most of the female folks in the world today. I am not surprised... |
Indomino Confidimus |
What!!! |
When dollars and Pounds talk, Naira will always listen.... |
I am sorry to hear this. The lack of medical equipment is a major drawback in the Nigeria health care centres. I don't blame the doctors, nurses and laboratory staff that decide to emigrate to other well structured climes. I witnessed the level of lack of urgency by health assistants in LUTH when I had an accident whilst seeing off my mum(now late). We were both hit by a drunk and overspeeding driver. Although, mum could not make it back to life except me with multiple fractures and being polytraumatised. Surprisingly,LUTH was the only hospital that was able to attend to the emergency due to the level of qualified specialists and surgeons available. I believe with adequate support and welfare from the government, our doctors and nurses will give their best. Once again, I so sorry to hear about your loss. |
