You need to submit documents for evaluation at HESA office for evaluation not Saqa .Saqa is for postgraduate studies however some private schools (not university) accept saqa for diploma courses .More importantly it is extremely difficult to be accepted with just o level results you need to have additional qualification ,like diploma ,Cambridge etc .This is so because it is assumed that Nigerian o level is a bit lower to SA matric
.Above all , most applications for undergraduate closed 30 September for internatinal students. You can do a one year diploma course in Sa and apply with it .Check some schools perhaps they may admit you.
Thanks for the response bro, I have a university diploma, and I have the certificate but no transcript, would you advise I apply with this? Or I should just apply for diploma after a year, I apply to degree?

How far boss Buccattee, have you been able to find your way around that parol?
Yes Bro, I got my passport renewed, and my new passport details has been updated on my appointment confirmation and DS 160. My interview date still remains 11th of May.

You can only cancel your interview appointment once. After that you have to pay a new fee.
Thanks for the response. I have not canceled before, I'm canceling for the first time. So I will use the GT Bank payment to book another appointment? Does the GT Bank payment expires?
Thanks

Hello VO,
I'm canceling my interview appointment to reschedule for another appointment. Do I need to pay another fee at GTbank? When will my first payment expire?
TravelRe: General U.s.a (student) Visa Enquiries-part 8 by Buccattee: 8:11pm On May 04, 2016
Hello guys,
Please I want to cancel my appointment and reschedule, will this attract another payment at GT Bank? Just want to extend the date from next week.

I guess you guys are referring to the same thing. Retrieving your application after it has been electronically signed and submitted will generate the info you filled on the previous ds160 but it will issue you a new number(he mentioned that in his previous post). I think that will be applicable for someone who hasn't booked his/her interview with the previous ds160.
I appreciate all your comments,
Please note that, I have booked an appointment with the DS 160, scheduled for 11th of May. My passport has been renewed, the only problem is how to effect the change of my renewed passport in my application. (Note, I booked my appointment before I realized that my passport has 6 months validity left?I got different opinions from people, some said I should fill out a new DS 160 form and go with it on interview day, some said I don't need to cancel my appointment, that I should just go with the renewed passport and explain to VO. Please guys what do you think I should do?

u can edit ur ds 160 after submitting o. I did it simply go to d page and click on retrieve application and follow d prompt.
Thanks bro,
So after getting my passport renewed, I can change the passport number on the same DS 160 form and also change it on appointment page? Will that change my interview date? My interview is 11 of May.
TravelRe: U.S. Non-immigrant Visas: We’re Listening by Buccattee: 8:11am On May 03, 2016
Dear Abuja NIV Team,
I've filled my DS 160 and submitted, I've also scheduled my appointment for next week, before I realized that my passport is having less than 6 months validity.
I've applied for renewal of my passport and hopefully I should get it before my interview date, I also planned completing a new DS 160 form to effect the change in my passport number, my question is:
Can I update this new passport info and new DS 160 bar code number on my appointment page?
Will this change my appointment date from next week?
Do I need to call the embassy to inform them of the renewal of my passport?

Thanks.

Walspring:
You can renew and get your passport within 24 to 48 hours

The only issue and problem is that if you have submitted your DS160 form, you will need to fill another one and update your passport number on the form but if not update it on the DS160 before submitting and also go to the appointment booking website and also update your passport number there too..
Thanks! I've submitted my DS 160 form and I've booked my appointment. After filling another DS 160 form, can I change the details on my appointed page? Will that change my appointment date?

Dear good people please advise me, I applied for a US visiting visa and I've submitted my application before I realized my passport validity is less than six months. My interview is next week 11 of May in Abuja. I'm about applying to renew my passport, hopefully it will be out before my interview. Please is this a problem for my visa? Is that a red flag? Please kindly advise me.

Thanks

Hello Visa Officer,
I've scheduled an interview with the US embassy Abuja for on the 11 of May. As at the time I applied, my passport validity was above 6 months, (note my passport expires 27th of October? But my passport will be 14 days below 6 months on the day of my interview. Will that be a problem for my visa? Remember I met with the requirement of not less than six months before applying, and Nigerian immigration won't renew the passport for me if it's not 6 months or below. Kindly advise me if I can still go on with the passport for my interview. (I applied for a short visit visa B1/B2)
Thanks

Hello VO

I will be visiting my wife and daughter in the US for just a month, she's on F-1 study visa. Which is the best visa category to apply for? F-2 or B1/B2? I'm confused because I believe F-2 are spouses that I intend staying with their spouse in the US during their study, (dependents) and I don't intend staying more a month.

Thanks

Hello Buccattee,

It is always best to start the process early due to wait times.

Regards,
Nigeria NIV Team
Thanks NIV Team,

Just wondering if the VO won't deny me for applying to Visit my wife on F-1 visa that hasn't take effect yet. Note: she's presently on B1/B2 visa, but it was written boldly on her new F-1 visa that "Effective date, May 2016" since she's resuming study by June.
Can I still go ahead and apply by March or April or I should wait till May when her new F1 visa will be effective.
Sincerely

Dear Vo,

Thanks for the great job you're doing here. I will be visiting my wife and daughter, but her F-1 visa will be effective by May, since she's starting school by June, she got the F-1 while in US. My question is, must I wait till May when her visa will be effective before applying for Bi/B2 to visit them or I can do that earlier.

Thanks

Dear VO,

My wife just got her F-1 visa in the US. She was formerly on B1/b2. The visa will be active by May, 2016. I will be applying for B1/B2 visa by may to visit them, and to attend my daughter's 2 year birthday coming June. My question is, I've not traveled outside Nigeria before except for Cameroon, will that be a problem for my visa to be granted?

Thanks

I wonder why people make it look like it is almost impossible to go study with family. It depends on how you present your case and of course your life, travel and educational history. My friend left last year with her child for a phd. Another friend just left with his family for masters. So it all depends on how you present your case!
Yes it is possible to apply and travel with family. But make it more clearer to this gentleman asking the question, by telling him he needs to have enough money to cater for his family. That's the only thing the VO will be particular about. And the bulk of the money must be in his/her account, not sponsor.

Please I am new to this forum.

I need help (information) about my chances (at the embassy) of taking my family(my wife and son) along with me when going for PHD. (Please has anybody been given a student visa before at the embassy with his family?)

I just want to know if to try going with my family or go alone ( I just applied for the PHD. I hope, I get the admission by God's grace)

This was my first post

What documents or what are my chances for visa at the Canadian Embassy of carrying my family along for my PHD.

Has anybody applied before for himself and family for study (PHD)?
Your chances are slim. In fact that's a red flag, and can lead to refusal of visa. Apply alone and go first, when you get there you can then invite your family to join you. Traveling with your family will automatically tell the VO that you're not coming back. Meanwhile on the other hand, you can apply with your family by proving to the VO that you have sufficient fund to cater for your family in Canada without taking a job while studying. Either way, the choice is yours. But my advice is, Apply and go alone first, then your family will join you later. That's your best shot.

it's written in it that i could re apply when my situation has changed, but i think i there's an itch,a different company appeared in my statement of account other than the company that i claimed to be working,so i really don't know what exactly the problem is but i dint use any fake document

hello guys,i got this "You have submitted documentation which lacks authenticity as part of your application. This has
diminished the overall credibility of your submission.",as part of the reason for a delay, please i wanna know if i can still refire by june or july or what can i do cuz i can't seem to understand these guys again
Did you submit any fake documents? When did you apply? Call them to confirm if this attract any "ban" before re-applying

I understand flying is far more expensive. i already have a degree in Computer Science and will like to do Masters before Flying or while doing masters. Am trying to build two career path; an IT and Aviation. Have you heard from CIC yet?
I've not heard from CIC yet. I submitted my application on the 18th of Nov (Paper Route)

Hello Buccattee...which flying school are you going in canada...and any info from CIC yet? Am also interested in doing flying. i was recently delayed but will reapply soon. i want to do my Masters first then do flying....Can we talk more on this pls

Thanks
I applied to Langley Flying school, Langley, BC and Crosswind Aviation Flying school, London Ontario. Why don't you just go into flying directly instead of doing masters? Flying doesn't require your masters, save the money for your flying. Concerning your first application, remember if you're going for flying you have to prove to the VO that you have enough money. Flying is more expensive than the total of any university or college tuition fee (complete 4 years). So the VO will handle our cases more seriously than any other study permit.
