Agriculture / Re: Anambra Farmers, Let's Meet Here by Buchika: 3:32am On May 21, 2017
Buchika:
as an experienced cassava farmer my advice to anyone who want s to go into commercial cassava farming is make sure your farmland is tractorable that's it's well destumped, minimise manual labour to the least possible, make sure your farmland access is motorable, be friendly with your state ADP extensions officers, know your market target, if it's only for garri, cultivate the best local variety, but if it's for starch go for all these TME419 or IITA improved variety. if you want to process commercial also and you don't have an efficient peeling system forget it you won't make it. the reason village women makes profit is they do all the processing themselves they pay no one from uprooting to frying, they pay only for grating and pressing which is very very insignificant.

Attention to everyone raising Broilers( small, medium and large scale farmers). I've been reading or hearing people lamenting on how poorly their birds were doing and i think this pieces of advise will help you guys maximize your profit irrespective of breed or farm you got your birds from.

Mash feeds are nonsense, if you really want to make a good profit in broilers, use Crumbles and pellets feeds. the worst crumble/pellet feed give better result than suppose nutrient filled mash feeds.

The reason is simple:

1. Unlike mash, each cubic of crumble or pellet contain the whole nutrients.

2. Birds eat more when giving crumbles or pellet than mash.

3. There is no room for partial eaten, unlike mash that some will be eating only maize or other will be eating soya or dust etc, crumble/pellet allow them to benefit 100% from every content in the feed.

In addition, use commercial made feed only. Give anticocci every 10 days untill 5 days to culling. Give them enough feed and clean water. Immuned them against CRD before 21 days. Multivitamin is very important, it aid their eating habbit.

For more info, consultancy service, start up requirements, or advises on Broiler, send mail to adebisiyemmit@gmail.com.

can you post the picture of this crumbles/pellets, and where can one get the crumbles/pellets to buy. gurus in the house has anyone tried the crumbles thing.

How about you start with a hundred? Broiler raising is pretty easy. Do it yourself.
I don't have space for even 10 birds.

EMMAACHILE:

Not advisable. You can do it yourself if you know the drugs and change the litre every now and then
ok, thanks for the prompt reply, I know I can do it myself, but I have several limiting factors, I don't have a pen house at the moment, though I intend to build one. and I can't do back yard farm because I live in a four storey building shared with other tenants, no free space, that's why I decided to partner with him to learn first hand from an experienced farmer so to say and at the same time make some profit out of it, my greatest impediment is space. @emmachile can you give more details why it's not advisable. thanks
Agriculture / Re: Starting A Poultry Farm (a Blog) by Buchika: 7:37pm On Apr 09, 2017
pls house, is it advisable to go into partnership in broiler business, I am almost a novice on poultry apart from what I learned from this thread and other related thread on nairaland. now my intending partner have been in the business for 6 years, so somehow he is experienced, he will be the one in charge of the day to day running of the farm, while I will be the one supplying the drugs and feeds,
to the experienced gurus in the house, which area can my partner short change me if he wish.
we are starting with 500 day olds

the tv power consumption is 22 watts. as for how long it wil last, it all depends on the capacity of your battery.
if I intend to get 24hrs of power for the TV only, what battery capacity should I aim for,

DICKtator:

Yes. I think it was him

He even did face reconstruction to avoid arrest.

I believe he was caught in Argentina (?)
grin grin grin grin
in the novel, the Israeli mossad agent Asher caught up with him when he 'asher' disguised as his bodyguard in the Amazon forest , though he was at his mercy but Asher didn't kill him, he killed his only son who came visiting, thereby subjecting him to emotional turture. But this one is fiction, op here is with the real story.
Health / Re: Angel Of Death: Dr. Josef Mengele, The Deadliest Doctor In Medical History. by Buchika: 2:21pm On Jan 31, 2017
I read a fictional novel " climate of
hell" it's about a fugitive war time German doctor who hides in different countries of South America. The Israeli mossad were looking for him because of the atrocities committed in a concentration camp.
from what op wrote here it's like they are talking about the same doctor.
didn't know it's a true life story, so scary.

@bnKath better look for another reliable phone to buy, the only good thing about the phone is it's battery, apart from that you are on your own. I have been putting up with this rubbish of a phone for six months now,
I can't use some ussd codes.
Main camera is a huge joke.
Hangs like mad.
User interface below average.
Overall user experience, I give it 2/10.
For me it's a no no.

As a criminal in prison the body will be buried, or cremated as soon as possible.
actually he's yet to be convicted before he died, are you saying it is not possible.
