PoliticsRe: Ayo Fayose : The Best Performing Governor Or (crook) 2006 ? ? ? ? ? by buchio7(m): 6:20pm On Aug 10, 2006
My broda dont mind dese ppl dat shy away frm reality, just d other day a new airline with no known pedigree in international route travel was given a prime license to run the nigeria-u.s.a(atlanta) route against all known nigerian aerospace regulations, do u knw why? odili is d main financier of the whole gamut.

As u rightly mentioned obj has 200million shares of transcorp n u can imagine d amount of money he must hav put in because when transcorp did its private placvement offer last year, the minimum shares acquirable was 3 million naira worth translating to 10,000 or so units, u can nw do d maths.

as long as we let sentiments as i just observed with the other contributor becloud our judgement we cant move forward as a country
PoliticsRe: Ayo Fayose : The Best Performing Governor Or (crook) 2006 ? ? ? ? ? by buchio7(m): 7:31pm On Aug 08, 2006
Fayose is d product of (s)election process of 2003 in the south-west. From those dat knw him way back frm ibadan n lagos he wasnt much to write abt in terms of character. What ekiti ppl r reaping is as a result of pdp/obj foisting an individual wit questionable characters(a man who is nt a thief bt when he passes something gets lost).

its a pity
PoliticsRe: Who Is Really The Giant Of Africa? by buchio7(m): 3:12pm On Aug 08, 2006
I believe d "GIANT OF AFRICA" is as a result of our huge population(largest black nation in d world),our relief/political efforts in the past within africa(e.g.south africa, liberia e.t.c).

The gains South africa is enjoying now is as a result of the apertheid domination in d past,d average black south african is still feeling disillusioned/oppressed/deprived e.t.c

The fact dat south africa has dstv doesnt mean we are illiterate by d way, so u want to tell me u would not have been educated if nt for dstv?

PoliticsRe: Why Is Nigeria Backward? by buchio7(m): 1:12pm On Aug 07, 2006
Dat is really delusional. anyone knws dat vision 2010 was just a jamboree and a political stunt for p.r. Dere was no intention at all to implement the resolutions reached at dat forum.

In cross-river there was no need for such a jamboree b4 duke knew dat he had to buld a tinapa or refurbish obudu or clean up the infrastructure within d state, do u c d difference bw dese two ppl?(i.e. duke and abacha)

while one spent d time and state funds he could have used to impact positively on d polity in calling for a jamboree he never had the intention of implementing its resolution(abacha) the other(duke) spent time bringing forth tangible things his ppl will appreciate.
the rulers of the past lacked vision because dey played politics with little things dat shd ordinarily not be politicised. why shd a governor spend state funds in commissioning a road within his jurisdiction? why shd d wife of a serving deputy govnor cause to be seized the allocations of a local govt because of her personal interests (Bayelsa first lady). These are not hallmarks of men with vision.

Vision does not end with having a dream or plan on wat u want done but d strenght of purpose to follow through with such plans.
Car TalkRe: What Model Of Car Is Best For Nigerian Roads? by buchio7(m): 12:00am On Aug 07, 2006
Fact is dat toyota is a fuel efficient car. Most japanese cars are but in terms of ruggedness n ability to easily access parts the peugeot stands out.

PoliticsRe: A Leader Or A Politician by buchio7(m): 12:38pm On Aug 06, 2006
What we need is leadership. Someone who inspires ppl to follow him by his words and actions. Someone who has vision, energy and youth that can lead a team of similar traits to formulate and implement agendas/policies that will unite, impact positively on the lives of the populace.

As for the list above i would only pick out 2 ppl who in my opinion COULD be the people we need. They are duke and okonjo-iweala. Why? Duke is young, dynamic and has vision. You just need to visit different parts of cross-river to see this and he has to his credit assembled a team of ppl who share in his passion to deliver.

Okonjo-iweala is also in this category asides from the age factor but she is a woman with a difference because she puts her money where her mouth is unlike other women in this administration. She has the education, proffessionalism and exposure to make an impact in leadership.
PoliticsRe: Why Is Nigeria Backward? by buchio7(m): 12:27pm On Aug 06, 2006
a people get leadership they deserve. The reason we are backwards is because of visionless leaders and the reason we have visionless leaders is because the populace who shd determine who governs them allow it.
PoliticsRe: Niger Delta: What Is The Problem? by buchio7(m): 8:05pm On Aug 05, 2006
