are'nt manual an extinct specie? except for the sporty and racing model cars? i can't tell the last time i saw one of those except at rallies
chei, chei, chei, how can ppl say that manual is a toy? manual is the real mans car, men i cant drive auto that is for women, i cant imagine driving a v6 car in auto transmission, I will be wasting the engine. The fun, adrenaline pumping fun of riding a fast car can only, ONLY be enjoyed with manual transmission.

They shd scrap that auto nonsense or restrict it to just women or woosies.

If you hav followed my write up,u wld remember me saying that i felt the invasion of iraq was rash and foolhardy which the republicans r paying for now in the local politics.

@ easy

ur destination like always is just to state dat american big business will lose profits if the war ends so dont keep asking me wat will happen,
PoliticsRe: Does America Earn The Right To Police The World? Is it a Divine Duty? by buchio7(m): 8:08pm On Nov 24, 2006
@nilla
we will just be going back and forth on this argument. I will just end this by saying this, america has a right to defend itself and its interests just d same way naija defended its interest in sao tome. 3000 + lives(INNOCENT LIVES)was lost in 9/11 courtesy of radicals who felt they had to prove a point the same way north korea is going abt proving its point by testing nuclear weapon. I shudder if the arsenal of these terrorist goes to handling wmds too.

I also have reservations on how some policies especially under this administration is carried out but that does nt change the fact that there r some countries run by despots who r incapable of reasoning positively. They shd be curtailed frm amassing these weapons(i.e. despotic regimes.

Easyy:
Buchio,

The loss was mainly in terms of weaponry and military amunition.
You failed to mention men and women ,fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters who died prosecuting this war, I feel this ur statement is d begining of the "bollocks" u so generously mentioned
which country do u feel enjoys losing soldiers to war? definitely nt america

Easyy:
NOW, don't remind me about any benefit of the WW
why shdnt i talk abt there intervention? the acted in world war II because dey believed they were going to be next target if britain n other allies fell to d germans,

@nilla

I dont have iraq on the list because saddam who was the central theme behind iraqs invation is no longer a factor .

regarding the world war II ending on a good note . . all i can remember is they are the ones that used the WMD that they are so intent on not letting others have angry
THE QUESTION IS WHY DID DEY USE IT? jAPAN BOMBED PEARL HARBOUR KILLING HUNDREDS OF AMERICANS AS WELL AS DESTROYING AMERICAN PROPERTY. JAPAN CAME LOOKING FOR TROUBLE IN ANOTHER MANS BACKYARD AND THEY GOT WAT THE U.S. HAD TO DISH OUT.

AS FR THE ISSUE OF WMDs, imagine wat would happen if ppl like ghadafi had dem in the 80's or if Milosevic in serbia had it or ortega in nicaragua had it in the late 80's? can u imagine the type of threat these despots cld pose to there regions? yes dey need to check the proliferation of wmds by some of these rogue states.

nilla:
so can you tell me who's their threat? Iraq huh
the definition of an enemy by the u.s. is anything or anybody who poses a threat to u.s. economic, political or social climate and in that frame i can give u 3 examples, iran,north-korea,syria,
PoliticsRe: Ibb, Never Again! by buchio7(m): 6:57pm On Nov 24, 2006
Again n again I still see ppl clamouring for a widely unpopular figure in d person of babangida, why?let me take dis jejely,

segoye2:
Ya B1,
You are dame right. IBB is Nigerian Solution come 2007. Meanwhile, noone can stop him.
how can someone who lived in nigeria from 1985-1993 actually believe that this guy has anything new to offer? under his regime nigeria plummetted in every sense of the word, economically, politically, socially even individual self esteem was eroded, how? did u ever try travelling out of nigeria from 1990-1993? the inhuman treatment meted out to nigerians by foreign airport officers was quite glaring,

Big B1:
May God bless Nigeria and may God bless IBB.
Amen becos God has blessed Nigeria already as for Ibb the same applies bt that does nt mean dat God has sanctioned him to relocate to aso rock, never!!!!!!

You cant teach an old dog new tricks, (aint possible) SO D ISSUE OF IBB COMING BACK IS NT SENSIBLE NOR ABLE TO YIELD MEANINGFUL RESULTS TO ALL OF US. THERE ARE BETTER MORE QUALIFIED CANDIDATES IN THE ARENA ALREADY WHY SHD WE START RECYCLING OLD,OUT-DATED,CORRUPT AND INEFFICIENT GRANDFATHERS LIKE IBB?
PoliticsRe: Does America Earn The Right To Police The World? Is it a Divine Duty? by buchio7(m): 6:42pm On Nov 24, 2006

I strongly believe the American economy will crumble if there was peace in the world hence the need for them to beat drums of war. The military is the biggest industry in America. If there is no war to fight or prepare for, there will be nothing for several hundreds of thousands of Americans to feed on.

Think about it, if America was to recall every one of it's military personnel serving abroad, what would they be able to do productively?
totally disagree with this ur line of reasoning because it just does nt follow. Anybody who knws abt this particular iraq war knws dat dey have lost a great deal more dan dey can ever gain frm it. They have spent demselves into a deficit in dis war,dey have channeled human n material resources dey cld have put in other places(more profitable places dat is)into iraq with no results to justify it after 2+years. So what do u really think they have gained economically?

IBEXY:
The UN can play the same role if US would give 100% support as is meant to be. Or don't u think?
I cant believe i am saying this but it is d unalloyed truth, the u.n. cant do jack abt anything because of the veto power wielded by such countries like china, russia n france which will always defeat any reasonable resolution to engage a terrorist natione.g. see hw dey cldnt even make a solid stand on north koreas nuclear test.

I have actually defended the u.n. in other threads bt it is galring dat its oversight functions/powers is being purposely frustrated by member nations who have selfish interests.

IBEXY:
Recent events have revealed the claim of Weapons of Mass dectruction was delibrately drummed up to seek justification.
yes this is true because even b4 d invasion by d u.s.,the c.i.a. said in a report that there is no clear n present danger posed by either saddam nor iraq to u.s. affairs.

nilla:
Who gave them power for divine intervention huh
like it or nt they have a right to engage an enemy who is seen as a threat to dere security, economy e.t.c. if dey didnt operate like dat world war II wld nt have ended in a good note because if u look at it incisively it was when america came into the war that the allies actually started conquering the germans from the west
PoliticsRe: Does America Earn The Right To Police The World? Is it a Divine Duty? by buchio7(m): 10:47am On Nov 24, 2006
IBEXY:
Does America earn the right to police the world?
In as much as the answer is no, can u imagine the world without a u.s?

yes they have assumed a self induced sense of moral compass , blahh, blah, blah but dont forget that dey have managed in a lot of way to aid in checking a lot of distasteful stuff that has gone on in the world,

IBEXY:
Is America really saving the world from a relentless onslaught of terrorists from the middle east or they a just an oil hungry nation of smart alecs.
What or who gave America the right to save us from terrorists?
I for one believed that the invasion of iraq under bush jnr was not necessary and was very rash but let us look beyond iraq to other scenarios where u.s. intervention has actually helped to ameliorate issues e.g. the invasion of kuwait by saddam in 1991,world war II e.t.c.

IBEXY:
What or who gave America the right to save us from terrorists?
noone my broda but who else do u think that can fight them? or who do u feel has d will to embark on same?

My bros i no knw , it was quite herculean getting to the east the last time. We actually had to divert just b4 okada into a village whos indigenes where making cool money from putting barriers on the road.

Of course that was after we had spent close to 3 hours on a que of 150 buses and cars, i heard they have awarded a contract for the rehabilitation
PoliticsRe: Lebanese Christain Leader Assasinated by buchio7(m): 7:58am On Nov 24, 2006
The question you shd ask urself my brother is this, who stands to gain from a disstabilised Lebanon? who has been trying to gain prominence in the past 6-7 years in middle-eastern country affairs? who has had a history of instigating such violence on neighbouring countries?

The answers keep churning out the same culprits each time, IRAN AND SYRIA,

It is nt simplistic when u note that iran is actually funding a particular ethnic group in iraq to forment trouble neither is it simplistic that a former cabinet minister in lebanon was assasinated sometime last year by syria because of his criticism of syrias overbearing influence.

Though some may say dat it was a revolt by d populace against an unpopular president n nt exactly as if d democrats hav a beta agenda but i still maintain that d bottomline is dat d present administration/party(republicans) are inept in handling d salient issue which is iraq.

PoliticsRe: Anambra Governor - Peter Obi Has Been Impeached! by buchio7(m): 12:58pm On Nov 04, 2006
I see his impeachment as a product of his own naivety, a popular saying goes dat "him who rides on d back of a tiger gets eaten when d tiger is hungry". the signals where all dere for him to c dat he was hobnobbing with d wrong crowd, even if he chose nt to see dem d most obvious was when obj(aso rock headmaster)came around n told him point blank dat he shd nt embark on projects he cant finish,

i dont pity him at all but its d constitution dat is d ultimate victim of dis ridiculous manifestations. Peter Obi was a seating duck from d word go.

d issues r simple but no one in this govt seems to realise it. ,

1)PROPERLY FUNDED AND EQUIPED EMERGENCY RESPONSE UNITS
2) EQUIPPED FIRE FIGHTING TEAMS.
3) SCRAPPING OF 10 YRS AND ABOVE AGED PLANES.
4) TRAINING FOR FIRE- FIGHTERS AND MEDICAL TEAMS( WHICH R SUPPOSED TO BE PRE-REQUISITES IN EVERY AIRPORT)

these things can be done. If billions can be raised to finance a library dat wldnt put food on d tables of millions of nigerians why cant d same billions be committed in putting in place proper modalities n infrastructure in our airports?

in any case it is well with us all!!

God bless Nigeria

"Some school of thought, believe his wider unspoken mission, is to turn the whole of Nigeria into a sharia state, as was the case in Sudan, a situation that pitched the Southern Sudanese against the North in a conflict that continues todate. It will be foolhardy to assume, characters like Yerima who represent the fault lines and the greatest obstacles to nationhood do not harbour such extremist ideas".

Never will this happen,God will turn him and clowns like him into apes before that happens.
Though ur tots r also valid my main concern is his ability to offer any credible leadership for this nation. It is also funny when ppl praise mediocrity and throw away the salient points which make credible and worthwhile leadership all in d name of "HE IS MY CANDIDATE".

Yesterday i watched an interview on channels television with donald duke as a guest and u cld see it vivdly that this guy had/has vision, is articulate in wat he wants and knws how to get it. I judge ppl based on utterances and actions n on these 2 yard sticks i found that he excelled in flying colors . I am nt frm cross-river neither do i feel that duke has no cobwebs but u cant escape nt feeling , "wowed!!!" when u heard the guy talk of wat he has achieved(mind u i have also seen it evidently in d whole state).

I have had d previledge of also hearing yerima talk (especially during his declaration for president and was totally unimpressed by wat he had to say nt because i dislike him nor his religion but there was something missing. He is just nt a presidential material. Period!!!!

I think the problem with Nigerian isn't really much about tribalism, nobody actually gives a damn about tribalism. It's all about individualism nowadays, every man for themselves. An Igbo man will get with an Hausa man as long as it guarantees him some sort of monetary benefits, days of tribalism are long gone. I mean people still favour people from their own tribes but they won't do it at their own expense. It's a 'me first" attitude in Nigeria!
