The owner of the land Reverend Ekema Njoku, revealed that the Umuriem community unanimously agreed and approved the construction of the gas plant “Umuriem welfare association granted the consent to build the gas plant,” he said.

Among the 3; the Reverend Father who owns the land and claimed that he got the approval of the community , members of the community writing petition upandan to claim that they didn’t approve the gas project because it will lead to loss of lives and the Imo State Government that shut down the gas plant project, it looks like none of the 3 is telling us the whole truth.

You can't build gas project in secret. The story is not adding up.

Seems everyone's eyes in Imo state is now opened to the money in gas and they want to be selling land with the gas under the ground with the land then use guise to collect the gas to the gas plants built on the land.

The community will lure them in then raise complaints while the government will now move in. EFCC should look into this emerging trend to save lives and stop clandestine gas plant project construction.

The plant in question here sir is this plant were cooking gas is sold. It's on a small piece of land and wanted to be built in a location surrounded by residents.

My question is when did community start giving approval for the type of building you want to build? This is solely the work of OCDA which is a government establishment, may have collected money from the guy without doing any impact Assessment. Now community whom would have sent youths to scatter the place now went to ANOTHER GOVERNMENT ESTABLISHMENT and they have stopped it. But if Baba settles well, he will still build it. Ibagwa Aka was an ancient cosmopolitan town before Nigeria's independence in 1960 because the town was a gateway to Idah seaport or riverport which was very active during the colonial time. Because of this many Yorubas and Hausas settled there and never left till date. If they built a stadium, I don't know, but what I marvel at is the report that the said philanthropist has tarred all the inner streets. The truth is that Ibagwa does not have up to two inner streets.

This your write-up is a bit funny. You called it a cosmopolitan City before independence yet you now say it doesn't have more than two streets. Please if I may ask in your view what defines a street because I think even a village has more than five streets. I await your kind response

A man has done something good and he deserves accolades. The stadium is built, streets are being tarred and other things that may not have been mentioned. These young men paraded by the Imo State Police Force especially the guy on Light Blue top and Dark Blue trouser is innocent of the crime alleged against him, and the Police is aware of it.

The young man on blue and blue is truly the manager of the Gas Station where the cashier was murdered and buried in a shallow grave right inside the premises of the Gas Plant but very innocent of the crime.

This is a man who went to the Police himself to declare that a staff under his care as the manager has not been seen for the past 24hours and the Police held him.

He has provided every meaningful information of the security man of the Gas Station who is currently at large but till now the Police has not made any move in search of the security man.

The Police knows the truth but has not made moves to get to the root of the matter rather they are parading an innocent man without full investigation on this murder case.

This young man is suffering in Police detention for what he knows nothing about.

Why parade someone who has not been declared a killer?

Even the Gas company is doing there best and supporting the Police to do there work yet they are lacking behind.

We want justice for the slain girl but let the real culprits be brought to book. It's not a crime to be a station manager. Police please do your work
