Politics › Re: Instead Of Going Back To The Kitchen, Aisha Should Stand Up For Women's Rights. by Bugatie(m): 8:57am On Oct 15, 2016 |
TonyeBarcanista: Resign because of his family arrangement? that is the business of his family.
My interest is his stewardship to Nigerians based on the mandate freely given him and Yemi. I have no concern with how they relate with their wives(I mean it should be separated from governance), but spouses shouldn't interfere in governance when they hold no position.
But come 2019, we shall remind Nigeria electorate that Buhari should be allowed to attend to his family and not affairs of Nigeria. Nope, resign because he has failed in his duties... The economy is in its worst lows, power supply, unemployment level, massive capital flight and closure of companies as a result of his bad economic policies, his one-sided fight against corruption....and so on |

TonyeBarcanista: Perhaps to you. To me, I prefer the Osinbajos model not the Jonathans or Buharis. I also love the Obasanjos model(with Stella) too If that opinion is correct, don't you think we should all encourage the Buharis to resign and allow the Osinbajos to take over as President, better family model, better govt/economy model |
Politics › Re: Instead Of Going Back To The Kitchen, Aisha Should Stand Up For Women's Rights. by Bugatie(m): 8:31am On Oct 15, 2016 |
TonyeBarcanista: That is the big question... Even the Bible clearly warn that nobody should be assigned position of authority in the Church if he cannot control his home.
What I see is that Mr President and Aisha are bad examples to the institution called marriage. Both of them lack respect for each other. While Aisha refused to respect the professional decisions of Mr President, Mr President failed to respect his wife by keeping whatever position she holds at home in private.
The best ever couple to grace Aso Villa remains MR and Mrs Yemi Osinbajo. Yemi has been in public office since the 90s but not a single controversy has come from his wife or ANY member of his family. Maybe Mr and Mrs Sambo too. That opinion on best couple is very subjective, ask me and I'll say GEJ and Patience. The Osinbajos are just fees years in Aso Rock and also, the office is the VP is a less conspicuous one too. Much as Patience displayed some signs of a woman who loves power and being in the news , never did we see her openly deride the person of Jonathan or criticise him in the public. I agree with you on the big dilemma though |

TonyeBarcanista: Which women's right?
someone lost out of Aso Rock power tussle and she becomes emergency women activist?
Someone who wasn't elected or appointed into government decides to "blast her husband in public", a thing NO Virtuous Wife will do cannot be said to be right activist.
Who Aisha help? She and her husband are not the first ever couple Nigeria will have, they better stop using the press to further disgrace themselves.
Aisha is not a government official FTR! And Buhari's open response to her was inappropriate. She's not a govt official but has retinue of media and personal Aids been paid from the national treasury or the president pays them from his own salary Let's stop with this hoax of being just wife of the president as opposed to being the first Lady when there's no difference in portfolio/protocol. For me, her outburst is wonderfully timed and she deserves our support and commendation |

Nice write up, aptly put and smartly delivered, but bros what makes you think man who doesn't listen to a woman he supposedly shares the same bed will listen to you here.
Let the outcry continue, Buhari must amend his ways and come back to the main business of making Nigeria better!
Mummy Aisha's outburst is typical of a frustrated mother who has the best intentions for her family, and I see nothing wrong in that.
This is a night/weekend of solidarity in support our amiable first Lady and wife of the president.
