Churchill Umoren writes From what i gathered from the state department here in the US, the Niger Delta Avengers was serious about killing Buhari. It is instructive to note that the NDA had always done what they promised. No bluffs. they give the military notice of blowing oil installations, and it has been serial. Learnt the US govt with d benefit of Intel, advised the Presidency to cancel, because even if Buhari escaped, there would have been collateral damage. Also, The Avengers have cells scattered around Ogoniland run by foot soldiers. Said a source " To attack during the visit was very imminent, they operate as guerillas, so his DSS, and soldiers would have been blind sided. To harm the Nigerian President in such environment would have been easy because the soldiers have no clue, not well equipped for such, and his secret service are not trained in counter terrorism, like the FBI and US Secret Service who protect the US President. the Nigeria President is viewed as "enemy of state" in the Delta, to them he is persona non grata" |

Which day will you people divide this country so that this madness will stop. I knew we are in for a strong thing when Agatu was raised by herdsmen from Lybia according to our president and no comment or statement was issued. Military was never deployed till weeks after. He gave his one year in office speech and not a sentence was made about the Fulani men. If the North doesn't know yet... They have lost Benue state as an ally. If anything happens today. North is on their own. |
FG will later beg the Avengers. ..I am just wondering why they have to stupidly wait till they have caused irreparable damage before negotiation starts...Mark my word. FG will beg them. The force approach won't work |
I humbly submit that the Constitutional Rights to Liberty, Freedom of Movement and Association as enshrined in the Constitution of this great nation are Human Rights created for the enjoyment of Persons and Citizens of Nigeria alone. There is therefore no Constitutional penumbra that transfers such freedoms to goats, sheep and cattle at the detriment of mankind. Bottom line, Fulanis are free to enjoy Human Rights as citizens of Nigeria, but no cattle is so entitled, as cattle are not citizens of Nigeria. They only qualify as property, to which the Law of Torts with respect to cattle trespass fully applies. So Fayose is in order. Imagine our president slapping all of us by sneaking 940 million into the budget for grazing reserves. Imagine how many youths with lands begging government for seedlings and tractor to farm. No response. There is no tribe in Nigeria that doesn't rear one thing or the other. Sane people manage animals not animals managing people. All processed milk we drink in Nigeria is from Europe. In all my travelled life. I have never seen one cow roaming in the bush. Why is Buhari and his kinsmen using analogue brain in a digital age. |
How many Nigerian Soldiers can swim? Most Soldiers are from the north and have never swam before. The Avengers: why gunboat show will not work ______________________________________________ All through history and military warfare, the use of gunboat diplomacy is thought to be the ace in the arsenal of superior power. And what is gunboat diplomacy? During the first gulf war, the US deployed overwhelming military fire power and eventually had Saddam Hussein redirecting his army back to Baghdad. Saddam Hussein knew that the Iragi army could not afford to stand toe to toe with the coalition forces. That was a show of gunboat diplomacy. However, the advantages of gunboat diplomacy are limited when such overwhelming firepower is faced with a guerilla warfare where the opposing force too is armed to the teeth. The difference in the guerilla army is that it is relatively small, extremely mobile and lethal. Again, such a guerilla army is very conversant with the terrain, perhaps much more than the invading forces. Second, they can adapt to the terrain more easily than the invading forces. Third, and perhaps most important factor is that in the Niger Delta, the Avengers are determined to free their region from decades of marginalisation. So, even general Alexander the great knew that overcoming the determination of oppressed people had to take supreme and divine intervention. There is no point here to bore you with the histories of general WestMoreland, MacAuthor, George Patton and general Colin Powell. The point is, in the Avengers the Nigerian army would be facing a hard nut to crack in the complex network of meandering creeks and marshlands that makeup swaths of the Niger Delta. Soldiers will be carrying backpacks loaded with items twice their weight. The terrain is not the north east. Here, the weather is dense, humid and suffocating in the marshlands. In such conditions, very easy for an army to lose focus. And the alternative, bombing the region out of existence is not pretty either. There is something more. The Avengers are not going to be moving in known military formations. The guerillas will be moving in the rain, at night, swimming through water to hit their targets. How many soldiers currently deployed to the region can swim? So, for these soldiers with limited swimming abilities, already, the morale is not where it should be. During the Biafran civil war, the army was smart enough to establish the 3rd Marine Commandoes which consisted mainly troops from the Niger Delta. That strategy eventually became the deciding factor for victory. In this case, the army is relying on drafting troops to occupy villages and towns to intimidate the civilian population with hope that the innocent villagers will rush into the bush and drag out members of the Avengers! That is the most bastardized military strategy ever. It is second only to Buhari drafting the military high command to Maiduguri to face Boko Haram. In the current military adventurism in the Niger Delta, the school of thought that the overwhelming deployment of military hardware will determine desired outcomes waits to be seen. Pray that the Avengers, the Egbesu Red Sea Lions, the Niger Delta Suicide Squad and other militant groups decide that Buhari and his generals should be given a soft landing through a roundtable dialogue. Just pray. __________ Ebi B Asain |
The current fight against corruption is not sustainable. PMB is after those who have stolen while an unimaginable fraud is going on under him. A part of his brain tells him that the DGs and Perm Secs and his ministers are saints but terrible fraud and corruption is going on. I say this as a government contractor. My documents have not been signed because I have not done the needful. Truth is, He needs to look inwards. people are stealing. many are insecure that he may re-shuffle them anytime and so looting the little made available. PMB is the only one fighting corruption, all the men around him are not and that's why it wont last. Fight corruption through institutional frame work and not as an individual. If PMB dies today (God forbid) the fight against corruption ends with him. Those of you who say IstandWithBuhari are also not helping him. it should be IstandForNigeria. That's patriotism, you will support mr president and also criticise him when he errs. Let me say it for the umpteenth time, force in Niger Delta will not work. people are suffering, revolution fuelled by starvation is brewing gradually. PMB should consult widely and approach the Delta with tact. those guys will ground Nigeria to Minus zero. |
I am waiting for this guys memoir. it will change our history |

YOUNGKAHUNA:Local flight |
That is a chartered flight. the aircraft is Overland airways. you pay 3million naira per trip so lets conclude that 6 million naira of tax payers money just went into thin air by one trip. how many more will he make. the Mofos are happy that the wealth is graciously squandered. See, our way far in this country. If you have the means, plan dual citizenship for your children. they must not suffer what you are suffering. This country is on auto reverse. Imagine minister for finance saying last night that they cant implement budget in full this year because they have to scrutinize what agencies want first. that's after we have waited 5 months for budget to be passed. what was wrong with scrutinizing while you wait budget passage. APC...no allow me curse una |
I am so expecting Buhari's speech on may 29th that I can't wait. The achievements will be epic. Zombies will say it's the best speech in human history. Global CEOS fly and work better. Our minister is sleeping when I don't have light. When we complained. They said it's because PMB doesn't have a budget...Abeg has budget been stolen again? They even told us that Nigeria will turn to Qatar in GDP. I saw zombie van in New York and knew that Zombie exist for real and there are many in Nigeria.

Cross River and Anambra states are seriously competing in infrastructural development. I beg my northern brothers to put pressure on their leaders to develop their region. southern Nigeria is on the path for development. You cant keep lagging behind. the consequence is that you will continue to be a problem to my growing children. Look at Borno governor that has largely been overridden by bokoharam in the last six years. he couldn't have had opportunity to build roads or any infrastructure. Question? after Borno pays salary of redundant civil servants, what has he been doing with money for capital projects. he will tell you he has been taking care of IDP but we know its a lie. FG and Donor agencies has largely born the burden of IDPs |
paying compensations may be a bad precedent. we initiated payment of amnesty and today we are duty bound to pay or there will be trouble. the way out is for owners of the cows to buy lands and build ranches and pay tax like every other business man. |
what the heck is ''he attended Ahmadu Bello University and got degree in social science'' what did he study...is it degree in Islamic Engineering and suicide bombing? Rubbish. look at all the millions of young vibrant Nigerians with hi-tech knowledge in digital broadcasting wasting away. you bring this old slow poke. how will this man who is part of the moribund NTA for years transform it. we are not just ready. |

Chai, Bokoharam is wicked. And I just finished writing PMBs one year in office speech for May 2019...now I have to shamefully cancel decimation of Bokoharam as chief achievement. Abeg which achievement do I write. |

He is exuding immense boldness. What he did has been murmured amongst many state governors but none had the nerve to voice out. Abeg make una give Fayose some likes if you think the guy has guts. |

EFCC has not been able to convict one of these major thieves because of newspaper trial. how about keeping your discovery classified, gather all damning evidence, pick him up and trying him. convict him and send him to jail for consuming our collective wealth. it is possible Omisore has not been notified buts already carrying a bogus headline on newspapers. how on earth do you expect him in possession of 700 million, almost a billion not to tamper with your remaining evidence. Our EFCC is mushroom investigators. I will do a better job. watch how Omisore will stroll in tomorrow and they will detain him for like a week and free him. we go in and out of court till 2019. abeg they should face our economy. enough of this madness. the world is laughing at us. |
This governor reminds me of Former Enugu state governor Sulivan Chime who transformed Enugu state without noise. this is a project worthy of commissioning not Lagos that bought motorcycle and cars and called mr president to come and commission we all know that 3 years from now all those bikes and cars will disappear |
Lalasticlala seun the peoples governor has spoken..its a message to the entire south |
