Good day everyone,
Please I want to inquire if in Abuja Vfs office , would one still need to book appointment before submitting application like lagos vfs office... please treat as urgent.
Thanks.

No booking of appointment. You submit on the same day. Make sure your documents are complete and form correctly filled. They check the forms before accepting, if a part is not correctly filled, you will be told to correct and reprint. Also get there early.

Hi @babzy90,
If you need 5pages to capture all relevant information then go ahead. It's your SOP and you know what you put into it.
Asking how many pages when no one has viewed it, the answers you will be getting would not be objective. ( So that you do not take out just the right relevant information that would make your application scale through).

Follow your heart, play the devils advocate on your SOP, if you were reading someone's SOP of 5 pages what would bore you and what wouldn't?

My own SOP is 7pages. (I have worked since 2005), plus I am going with my family, in addition, I listed all docs ( most esp. supporting docs) attached according to each family members profile to make life easy for the VO.

I have read mine time and time again just to be sure it would make sense.

goingforward.
Love your spirit.. It will end in praise.

For engineering courses you could say Nigeria education is mainly theoretical with little practical. And even if there are practicals, our equipment are outdated and all new equipment are being managed by expatriates cos they have the latest knowledge in handling these equipement. So you wish to bolster your knowledge with practical using latest technological equipment .... just ty to think, I’m sure you can come up with something in respect to your course. Goodluck

Thank you

Hi everyone ..please what could be a realistic reason for choosing to go for a particular course outside Nigeria when it is also available in Nigeria. A good reason without degrading Nigeria. Need your ideas please.

Bukella,

If the living expenses is in one account where your savings are held fine! If not, you can as well present your personal(salary) account, while the living expenses is in another account. All good! When it comes to Canada study visa, add all financial statements you have at hand to prove your current financial establishment. Some applicants include 3-4 different bank statements and were approved.

I don't know if you grab my point?
.
Yes I do. Thank you.

Jewel80,

Of course yes! It's acceptable! So many successful TRV applicants didn't exchange funds into a domicilary account and got approved. It's left for you to certify the visa officer that the funds in the said naira bank account will be accesible by you and available during your stay in Canada and you will get your visa approved as well.

All the best!

Thanks, does it mean there will be two different accounts. One for living expenses and the other, your own personal SOA. What if living expenses is One account alone.

Permit me to use Caps...... YOU ARE OVER GOOD TO GO SIS. Now you can focus on other aspect of your application. SUCCESS
NB: Please don't forget, your dad should show his source of fund(it is very very important).
Do you mean explain source of funds in the SOP?

LOL! Don't be, last i checked, there's no VO on this platform. Everybody shares based on experience or what "should" work. The best applications have been denied too. Keep trusting God and hope for the best. Meanwhile, start checking for the cost of your flight and make other arrangements. That's how faith works. ALL THE BEST!!!

harde116, thanks for your kind words. I hope for the best.
