PoliticsNigeria Seen As Biggest Rice Buyer (Importer) In 2019, Behind China. Bloomberg by bukifemi1(op): 1:59pm On Nov 15, 2018
Nigeria’s rice imports will jump 13 percent next year to 3.4 million metric tons, making Africa’s most populous country the world’s biggest rice importer after China, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

China and Nigeria are projected to remain the largest rice importing countries in 2019, followed by the EU, Cote d’Ivoire, and Iran,” the USDA said in its latest Rice Outlook released Tuesday. “Nigeria and Egypt are projected to account for the bulk of the 2019 import increase.”

The forecast growth is a setback for the Nigerian government, which plans to stop rice imports by the end of this year to save foreign currency. Production had increased more than 50 percent since 2012 to 3.7 million tons last year. Domestic demand rose 4 percent to 6.7 million tons in the 2017-18 year that ended in May.

President Muhammadu Buhari wants to diversify Nigeria’s economy away from hydrocarbons, and agriculture is one of the sectors he has bet on. The economy of Africa’s biggest oil producer is still recovering from a slump in 2016, after the crash in crude prices.

Rice farmers in Nigeria have reported a drop in output since last year due to a combination of higher input costs, insecurity and widespread flooding in the main growing regions. At the same time, people are giving up traditional coarse grains in favor of rice in the country of almost 200 million people.

“The rain has not been favorable to rice farmers this year,” Mohammed Sahabi, chairman of the Rice Farmers Association of Nigeria in Kebbi, one of the main rice-growing states, said by phone. “We lost more than 20,000 hectares of unharvested rice this year in Kebbi alone.”

Current global production exceeds consumption by 2.3 million tons, according to USDA, with 2018-19 “global ending stocks” projected to reach 163 million tons, 17.8 million tons more than previously forecast.

Ogbonnaya Onu, the minister of science and technology, says Nigeria will start producing its own pencils in another two years, as part of a wholesale production-sector revamp to be witnessed in the regime of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking in an interview with Daily Trust, Onu expressed assurance that the plan would have a “meaningful impact” on the economy, because the wide aim of the ministry is to “commercialise developed ideas and research findings to principal levels”.

He dismissed questions over the importance of pencil production, saying Nigerians would be amazed at the multiplier effects, which will include the creation of at least 400,00 jobs.

“Yes, I have heard questions on why pencils. We chose pencils to symbolize the problems that we have and our commitment to local production,” he said.

“To produce pencils, we need wood, graphite, rubber for the eraser and possibly, we will need aluminium to hold the rubber in place. Then, we may need paint to give it colour. But even if we don’t add paint or rubber, already we have a pencil and it will write.

“Now, we have all the things to produce a pencil, which is used by a large number of people from our young pupils to engineers, and it looks simple to produce, yet we have not been able to produce it. That is why we talked about producing pencils...

BusinessYoruba Citizens Sent To South East To Learn Trade And Business Skill by bukifemi1(op): 7:33am On Nov 14, 2018
Craftsmen at Aba, Abia State as well as traders at Onitsha, Anambra State should get prepared to receive new apprentices from Ekiti State.

This is being promoted as a bid by the Ekiti State government to ensure that Ekiti youths are trained to be self-reliant and look beyond government patronage, and to also prove that, aside education, developing unskilled Ekiti youths does not warrant only sending them overseas for training.

The idea was floated by Hon. (Dr.) STB Omotoso, Ekiti State House of Assembly Member-elect (Oye 1 Constituency, PDP) during a courtesy visit by Ekiti State Assembly Members-elect to the corporate head office of Vanguard Media Ltd, Kirikiri, Apapa, Lagos, on Wednesday last week.

Hon. Omotosho, while condemning critics of Gov. Ayo Fayose of Ekiti State for their criticisms of what has come to be termed “stomach infrastructure”, said such criticisms give the concept a narrow definition as it goes beyond giving gifts of bags of rice and other foodstuff to voters to influence their choice.

“Stomach infrastructure is narrowly defined by critics of Governor Fayose”, Hon. Omotosho said. “It is not all about just feeding people or giving gifts to people. If one should expatiate on the concept, it entails providing the people not only with the basic necessities of life after election, but also empowering them by making them self-reliant, with the best education and training and then giving them employment, which the Fayose government is presently engaged in.”

Speaking further, the lawmaker-elect said the Ekiti State government did not need to waste scarce resources sending Ekiti unskilled youths to Europe or America for training. “Instead, they could be sent to Aba to learn how to make shoes and bags, and to Onitsha to master trade; while those who are qualified and competent will be given local contracts. This is the concept behind the so-called ‘stomach infrastructure’ and not just distributing gift items. Stomach infrastructure goes on after election. It is about helping the poor. It is about engaging them in what can feed them earn a living. That’s what Fayose wants to continue doing. He needs stability to achieve for no progress can be made during crisis. We have had enough crisis and we want peaqce in our state.”

Aba, well known for its handicrafts, is reputed for its handmade shoes and handbags. It is also a major manufacturing and trading centre in South-Eastern Nigeria, with its Ariaria International Market as the largest market in West Africa, seconded by the Onitsha Main Market.

And Onitsha is known for its trading, where the average traders are known to bring in at least six consignments of 40 tonnes (40-feet containers) of goods annually. Some of the major importers do more than 20 consignments of 40 tonnes of goods per year.

Interestingly, the multi-billion dollar economies of both commercial towns are dominated by craftsmen and merchants many of whom do not have university education, but rely on apprenticeship to cut their teeth in the trades before going on their own.

It will be recalled that “stomach infrastructure” crept into Nigeria’s political lexicon following the 2014 Ekiti State governorship election when voters were given gifts of bags of rice and other foodstuff by office contenders to influence their choice. Both Fayose and Fayemi, the then governor gave out gifts. But Fayose’s became so prominent that it was believed to have led to his victory.

Fayose sending Ekiti youths to Aba and Onitsha in furtherance of his stomach infrastructure will be a move which is believed will enjoy the backing of the incoming Ekiti State House of Assembly, as all 26 members-elect were elected on PDP ticket, like the governor.

The youths, according to the said plan, are expected to return to Ekiti State after completing their apprenticeship, to re-enact the Aba and Onitsha phenomenon in their home state.

Lai Mohammed, minister of information and culture, says dressing masquerades could create a thousand jobs per week for Nigerian men.

Speaking at the sectoral debate of the federal house of representative in Abuja on Tuesday, Mohammed said most states in Nigeria have one festival or the other.

“Most states today have more than one festival a year, but the packaging and lack of capacity has not enabled them to make the most out of these festivals,” he said.

“There’s a particular masquerade in the south east, it takes 100 people to dress him, another 100 people to UnCloth him.

“If this masquerade is well-packaged, it can provide employment in one week for more than 1000 young men. These are some of the untapped potentials.”

Mohammed explained that Nigeria has the oldest forest in the world in terms of biodiversity for tourists to visit, but tourists are discouraged by bribing and insecurity in the country.

“I worked in the airport for 10 years, and I know that if you want your passport stamped as a foreigner, you slip $100 into your passport. No tourist would come back to a country where he has to bribe immigration to enter.

“No tourist would come to a country where, when he leaves immigration, he enters a ‘one-chance’ taxi or ‘one-chance’ bus. It’s a holistic problem and these are all contained in the national tourism master plan, which I would make available to the house.

“We must make a difference between tourist sites and tourist attractions; what we have in Nigeria are tourist sites. They are not tourist attractions.

“You need infrastructure to convert a tourist site to a tourist attraction. If you don’t have infrastructure, it would always remain a tourist site,

“In Cross Rivers reserve park, Nigeria has the oldest forest in the whole world. It is the oldest in terms of biodiversity, and we have this very rare, white-mane gorilla in that area, but because my people in Cross River have decided to turn them to bush meat, they have now escaped.”

President Goodluck Jonathan will on Friday depart Lagos on a brief pilgrimage to Israel, his office said in a statement on Thursday.

The statement issued in Abuja by Reuben Abati, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, said Mr. Jonathan would visit Christian Holy sites during the pilgrimage.

According to the statement, he will join other Nigerian pilgrims in a prayer session for the well-being and progress of the country at an Inter-Denominational Service in Jerusalem on Sunday.

The president, who will be accompanied by the Chaplain of the Presidential Villa, Obioma Onwuzurumba, and his principal aides, is expected back in Abuja on Monday.

Mr. Jonathan’s office did not specifically identify the aides accompanying him on the trip but the President is known for travelling with outsized delegations on foreign trips.

Mr. Jonathan’s trip to Israel, which is his second in 12 months, is coming about four months to the 2015 presidential election in which he is most likely to run as the candidate of the governing Peoples Democratic Party [PDP]. The Independent National Electoral Commission [INEC] has fixed February 14, 2015 for the next presidential election.

Some call it the Buhari bounce. Others describe it as the Buhari effect. Yet some others say it is the Buhari aura. One thing is, however, crystal clear. Things have not been the same in the past 100 days in Nigeria, since Muhammadu Buhari assumed the presidency. A new sheriff has truly come to town.

Exactly 100 days ago, he climbed the podium at Eagle Square in Abuja and got inaugurated as president, 30 years after he had been toppled from power as military head of state. He promised to belong to nobody, and to belong to everybody. It is a pledge that still resonates loudly today, and will surely echo for a long time to come.

On a day like this, you would expect a presidential spokesman to chronicle the achievements of his principal in office. He has turned stone to bread, slain the dragon, and climbed Mount Olympus in ten seconds. But that is not what I want to do. There are some intangible, almost imperceptible achievements, but which run very deep, and are quite fundamental. Those are the ones I'll rather talk of, while we leave the tangibles till some other day...

Politics"If Not For Buhari, Boko Haram Would Have Invaded Lagos" - Adebayo Shittu by bukifemi1(op): 3:53pm On Oct 30, 2018
Communications minister Adebayo Shittu says President Muhammadu Buhari must seek re-election in 2019 because he has so far done well. Even though the president hasn’t decided on standing yet, Shittu said loyalists and ardent supporters could help the president make up his mind.

Speaking with State House correspondents after meeting with the president on Wednesday, Shittu said he informed Buhari that he had appointed a national chairman of the Board of Trustees of Muhammadu Buhari/Osinbajo Dynamic Support Group whose identity he did not disclose.

The minister stated that the South-west zonal office of the campaign organization of the Buhari/Osinbajo would be commissioned on January 20. Asked whether the campaign for 2019 has started, Shittu parried, saying: "Every day since he came into office, all his activities are geared towards letting Nigerians know that they have a saviour, a rescuer; somebody who is committed to providing relief for Nigerians in all respects.

"In the area of fighting corruption, insurgency, whether in the northeast or the Niger Delta, in the area of repairing the economy and providing jobs and providing social stability in the society, you will agree with me that today, but for Buhari, Boko Haram would have invaded even Lagos."

On whether Buhari will run for the 2019 Presidency, he said: "It goes without saying, I mean if you have a child who goes to primary school and does well, proceeds to secondary school, does well, and you keep asking is he going to university? It goes without saying.

PoliticsNigeria Condemns Israel’s Killing Of 58 Palestinians by bukifemi1(op): 2:50pm On Oct 30, 2018
The federal government has condemned Israel’s deadly response to clashes along the border with the Gaza Strip, in which 58 unarmed Palestinian demonstrators were killed.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in a statement on Thursday expressed the federal government’s concern over the killings.

“The Israeli Government must stop such use of excessive force against unarmed civilians, including children, and respect the basic human rights of Palestinians as well as international law,” the ministry added.

NAN reports that the Hamas-run Gaza health ministry said 58 Palestinians were killed and nearly 1,000 were injured in violent clashes with Israeli forces along the Gaza Strip’s border with Israel.

Israeli security forces said they were responding to deliberate attempts, spurred by Hamas, to overwhelm and breach the boundary fence to launch terror attacks in Israel.

In addition to protesting the relocation of the U.S. embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, Palestinians were also marking the 70th anniversary of what they call the Nakba, or “catastrophe,” of Israel’s creation in 1948.

The Israeli army said three of the Palestinians killed on Monday were trying to plant explosives at the border fence.

In two separate incidents, IDF troops opened fire on gunmen who were trying to shoot them, Hadashot TV news said.

There were also several Israeli airstrikes on Hamas positions in Gaza.

According to the army, tens of thousands took part in the protests at several points along the border.

PoliticsWhy Buhari Is Moving To Re-arrest Nnamdi Kanu. Pictues by bukifemi1(op): 12:33pm On Oct 29, 2018
President Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government has approached the Federal High Court, Abuja, seeking the revocation of the bail of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).

In the application, the Federal Government is seeking an order of court revoking the bail granted Kanu on April 25.

Here are five likely reasons the Buhari-led government is going after Nnamdi Kanu again:

1. The FG said the call for revocation of Kanu’s bail was on the grounds that he had breached his bail conditions.

2. Disobedience to court order

3. Inauguration of Biafra Security Service – a grave threat to national security and unity of the country

4. He has not been updating the court on his medical updates and health status

5. Partaking in partisan politics, threat messages against the forthcoming Anambra election

6. Still preaching Biafra message and granting of interview with local and foreign media organizations.

7. Nnmadi Kanu's separatist comments have increased rather than reducing.

Nnamdi Kanu is standing trial for alleged offences of conspiracy to commit acts of treasonable felony and other related offences before this court.

The offence for which he is standing trial is not ordinarily bailable but due to the magnanimity of the court and its quest for justice and fairness, he was granted bail on health grounds.

Among the other conditions for his bail is that he should not be seen in a crowd exceeding 10 people and he should not grant any interviews, hold or attend any rallies.

And that he should file in court, medical updates of his health status every month.

PoliticsCan Affidavit Stand In Place Of Educational Qualifications? by bukifemi1(op): 8:24am On Oct 27, 2018
CAN AFFIDAVIT STAND IN PLACE OF EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS? - Osagie Lucky John As we watch the drama surrounding Buhari certificate unfolds, I am compelled to share my thoughts on this issue. It will interest you to know that out of the over 70 presidential candidates whose names were submitted and screened by INEC only Buhari submitted an affidavit while the others presented their original educational certificates. If affidavit is acceptable in place of WAEC then we all should just go to court and swear whatever affidavit we like instead of going to school. Buhari is setting a very bad example that should be nipped at the bud before it turns into an uncontrollable cancer. I consider it an insult on all those who read night and day to obtain their educational certificates no matter how big or small it may be, while the supposed number one citizen of Nigeria uses an affidavit that can be cheaply obtained in any court of law. While so many people wrote WAEC severally just to have the certificate and spent minimum of 5years in secondary school before been allowed to seat for senior secondary school certificate exam be it WAEC or NECO but our president could not even present any attempt of WAEC either pass or fail, rather he submitted an affidavit instead of a certificate. I think there should be limit to what affidavit can cover before everyone begin to go to court with N500 to swear affidavit of WAEC, affidavit of NECO, affidavit of Jamb, affidavit of OND, affidavit of HND, affidavit of BSC, affidavit of MBBS, affidavit of NYSC, affidavit of masters degree and affidavit of PhD. I urge INEC to immediately do the right thing and declare Buhari ineligible to contest the 2019 presidential election or ask him to produce his original WAEC certificate either from the military that Buhari claims is holding it or from the authority's of the West Africa examination council. Failure to do this will lead to his immediate disqualification from the presidential race. This is 2018 and we are in a democracy where the Constitution must be obeyed and the rule of law upheld not broken. I urge Mr President who claim to be a man of integrity to honourably step down from the presidential race as he lack the basic educational requirement to be president of Nigeria. Failure to do this will make all his pretence of integrity an obvious propaganda before all citizens of Nigeria. You cannot be the president of Nigeria and tell us that you can't order the military to immediately get your educational certificates from the military archives. Enough of the nonsense. I will like to conclude with this saying "people who claim honour and integrity don't bend laws when it's against them but uphold and obey laws even if it means stepping down from an exalted position of authority". Mr president please do the right thing, step aside. God bless the office of the president, God bless the Constitution of Nigeria, God bless the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Signed Osagie

PoliticsNNAMDI KANU Aided By Mossad,Israel Country's Spy Agency. BBC by bukifemi1(op):
Missing Nigerian separatist leader Nnamdi Kanu has resurfaced in Israel one year after soldiers stormed his home in the southern Abia state.

"I'm in Israel," Mr Kanu said on Sunday in a broadcast on his outlawed pirate radio station - Radio Biafra.

A video of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (Ipob) leader praying at the Western Wall in Jerusalem has also been shared online.

Some reports had said that Mr Kanu was being detained after the 2017 raid.

His wife, Uchechi Kanu, told the BBC in February that she believed the government knew where her husband was being held after his home was raided by soldiers.

Nnamdi Kanu's wife begs Nigerian government for information

In 2015, Mr Kanu was charged with "criminal conspiracy, intimidation and membership of an illegal organisation" - charges that could amount to treason.

He was released on bail last year after spending more than a year-and-a-half without trial on treason charges.
What has he done?

Mr Kanu, who holds both Nigerian and British nationality, founded the Indigenous People Of Biafra (Ipob) in 2014 to push for a breakaway state of Biafra.

The plan is not new. In 1967 Igbo leaders declared a Biafran state, but after a brutal civil war, which led to the deaths of up to a million people, the secessionist rebellion was defeated.

Mr Kanu is the latest in a line of ethnic Igbo activists taking up the cause of pushing for an independent state.
The Israel connection

Mr Kanu said in Sunday's broadcast that he was still pushing for a referendum to create a breakaway state in the south-east.

He urged his followers to boycott next year's elections in Nigeria unless the government agrees to the the push for a referendum.

"Ipob will liberate Biafra and we will not take part in any elections until we get a referendum, it is not negotiable, we will do it by any means," he said.

"I will be back soon in the land of Biafra and I will bring hell with me," he said.

"I owe my survival to the state of Israel," he added, saying that he had been aided by Mossad, country's spy agency, without elaborating how he was assisted.

It is unclear how Mr Kanu was able to get to Israel, as he had to surrender his Nigerian and British passports after his arrest.

One day in primary school. My teacher asked me a question which I didn't quite have an answer to. Instead of saying exactly my position at that point in Time.. I decided to buy more time.. Maybe to think out the answer..
.
I replied her in my unusual innocence, "aunty I didn't hear you!"
She said, "Bishops, thats not correct. You heard me but probably didn't understand me.. You should say, you didn't understand me and not you didn't hear me!"
.
As a kid.. "You didn't hear me" and "you didn't understand me", didn't mean much difference.. Though I took the correction, I later realised that the first was just a direct contextual translation of my Igbo language to English..
.
But as an adult.. I have come to realise that not so many people around the globe got such intrinsic corrections from such wonderful teachers..
.
Yesterday's broadcast from Nnamdi Kanu..
Go through the cyber space, you will realise that so many people HEARD him but not many UNDERSTOOD him.. You will realise how people argued out of context and headlined the frivolities.. In all they were waiting for him to mention elections, boycotts and the VP for Ndi Igbo. Some were waiting to hear the route he took to Israel without passports, so they can pass through same to goan hustle.. Man must wack Biko nu..
.
To some, it's battle line drawn between Atikunation and Buharination. To others, it's Biafra achieved..

Ndi restructurist are now woke.. Nnamdi had gone with their RESTRUCTURE Voice.. All camps are awake.. He is back..
.
Some others think Nnamdi should come on his global broadcast with a blackboard and chalk and say, these are my ACTIONABLE STRATEGIES.. number one bla bla bla... number two nye nye nye..

.
Some others came to hear his contacts. They are supposed to know that while Buhari was signing agricultural produce deal in US and going for medical tourism in UK, Donald J. Trump and the UK MPs were plotting to save one guy like that..
.
Some DSS guys would be looking at their palms and wondering how they are still holding two passports but MOSSAD is holding the life and energetic body.. When did "90 minutes at Entebbe" become "90minutes at Enugu"!
.
All of you heard him but not many understood that he said people were killed. Citizens Rights violated. Justice denied. Military might abused. Constitution denigrated..
Not many understood this part.. They all waited to hear, "vote Atiku Abubakar!" or "vote Muhammadu Buhari"..
Voter's card kee you there..

A few that have sense knows that the stick that will stir up the political pot has just resurfaced. The south need to rally round this leading face that his actions have directly or indirectly honoured them the recognition of a VP..

It is the fire used in destroying gold that is also used in shaping it..
If Nigeria still would exist by 2023, how much the south unite on this common front might determine their Faith then and not just how many PVCs they produce during PVC vs APC frauds..

1967-70: WE WERE SURROUNDED

THEY FOUGHT FOR OUR OIL, WE WERE HUNTED FROM EVERY ANGLE AND WE HAD TO CHOOSE A SIDE, WE HAD NO CHOICE

We are Ijaws, Ogonis, Ikwerres (coastal Igbo), Efik, Ibibios.

They came for our lands and waters. We were students, teachers, workers, farmers, fishermen, old men, old women and children.

We had no guns to defend ourselves, yet the treasure in our lands is the reason the Nigerians would not give up and the Biafran military government would not succumb.

Nigeria needed our oil for themselves and needed our lands and waters to incapacitate the Biafran military. The Biafran government needed to protect our lands and oceans from the Nigeria forces so they will not be rounded up.

The Biafran government lacked enough men to combat Nigeria forces. Nigeria needed to use Biafrans against Biafrans in order to preserve Nigerian lives.

They came after us from every angle. The Biafran government took our young men to battle sometimes against their wish and the Nigerian forces destroyed our communities, kill our young ones, rape our women when they capture a community loyal to the Biafran government and her young men actively fighting for the Biafran military.

We were like in the midst of the ocean and the deep blue sea. Either way we are caught in the net.

Many of us were forced to break camp of the Biafran military and go to join the enemy Nigerian forces, not because we liked it so much but because that's the only way to preserve our communities from extinction.

We were forced to denounce every affinity with Igbo (the largest and leading Biafran ethnic group) and those of us who were really Igbo were forced to drop the Igbo identity and adopt the identity of our sub-tribes.

We had to change our former Igbo names given to us by our parents as a result of close friendship with the Igbo and expression of love shown by one Igbo friend or the other.

As a result, the Biafran military described our actions as acts of betrayal. No, but it wasn't betrayal, neither was it out of hatred for the Igbo. It was for survival.

In order to survive, you must submit to the superior powers and Nigeria appeared to be the superior power between the two sides. BIAFRA had no weapons, no international support, no food. Whereas, Nigeria had all the world powers supplying them with weapons, Nigeria had foot in abundance and had the media to deceive us as much as they could.

Because BIAFRA military considered us saboteurs, when they over power the Nigerian forces and get a hold of our communities, they don't spare those of our young men who have jumped over to the other side and many were buried alive because BIAFRA couldn't afford prisoners of war because it is far too expensive to keep a prisoner when you have no food for your loyal soldiers.

We were never at peace as we were ran over by the two sides and each time a new side takes over, we suffer a new tragedy.

For thirty months of 1967-70, we were in the worse nightmare a people could ever be subjected to.

We hated Nigeria for starting the war but we hated the Biafrans the most for not understanding with us. Even though we were Biafrans ourselves, we tagged Igbo Biafra and blamed the ills of the war on the Igbos who didn't reject their identity.

I couldn't blame us, it is painful to see your brother killing you by himself when all you were trying to do was to survive.

And

I couldn't blame the Biafran military instead because it grieves to see your brother jump out of your camp to join the same enemies you were protecting him from.

We were separated by the war.

The battles continued, Nigeria continued with their hate propaganda against Igbo, using every advantage to destroy Igbo image among the coast and the experiences of the war were cementing the lies told by Nigerian media.

They didn't stop there, before the war was over, they ensured they killed our foremost combatants that fought on their sides. They kept killing our people in the army even after the war secretly and openly until they ensured that the high ranking Biafran Nigeria military officers that knew their secrets had been wiped off.

They didn't stop at the military, they also waited for the civilians that had guts to show it and they chopped off their heads in secret and in the open before the world and the world did nothing.

This is our story. We are no saboteurs, we only wanted to save our race from extinction and our brothers in the hinterland doesn't hate us either, they only wanted to win the war and to win a war you must show no mercy to saboteurs; that's what they were taught in the military.

We are to blame those who spreaded propaganda across our lands.

We should blame those who set brothers against themselves to kill themselves.

We should blame those who invaded our lands and started a war of genocide against our people.

We should blame the international community that saw the genocide but rather turned a blind eye and cheered the terrorist (Nigeria) army because of the treasures beneath our lands and waters.

Blame those who after many years have killed more people in our region, left our lands polluted and turned our young ladies to prostitutes and our young men to political thugs, armed robbers and kidnappers.
