...Explaining why there were so many casualties, the source said it happened because the soldiers decided to run away after being overpowered, which gave the attackers the advantage. Among those killed were three officers, while the commanding officer escaped with a gunshot wound in the leg. The Brigade Commander, Brigadier General Dangana, however, escaped unhurt and has since gone back to his post. The ICIR also learnt that Boko Haram fighters took away three gun trucks and burnt four others because they could not move them. The ICIR learnt that a day after the attack, 25 corpses were retrieved and on Monday, 37 more were evacuated to 7 Division in Maimalari Barracks, Maiduguri. Some of the corpses were deposited in the morgue inside the barracks and others were taken to the University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital due to lack of space. When our source visited the hospital inside the barracks, he saw more than 50 injured soldiers from the attack in a single ward. “The more than 50 injured soldiers I saw were in a single ward, as I didn’t even enter the other wards,” the source said, adding, “Most of them were shot in the legs, some in the thigh. I saw one soldier whose face was grazed by a bullet.” The military has refuted media reports that soldiers were killed or missing in the attack. “Contrary to the report, the Army wishes to state that, although the base was attacked by suspected Boko Haram insurgents, troops reorganised and successfully repelled the attack and normalcy has since returned to the area. Also, all the troops in the base were accounted for contrary to the report,” army spokesperson, Texas Chukwu, a Brigadier General, had said. This is not the first time the army has denied losing soldiers in Boko Haram attacks, especially when such attacks involved heavy casualty. On July 1, the Chief of Army Staff, Tukur Buratai, a Lieutenant General, inaugurated a cenotaph in Gudumbali, headquarters of Guzamala local government in Borno state, in memory of 144 soldiers killed during a deadly attack on November 18, 2015. |
THE ICIR can authoritatively report that 62 soldiers were killed in Saturday’s attack on a military base by the Boko Haram in Geidam local Government Area, Yobe State. Despite denials by the military about the attack on the base in Jilli in Geidam, this website has obtained credible information indicating that dozens of soldiers lost their lives and more are still missing. On the same day, Boko Haram insurgents ambushed a military convoy in Boboshe village in Bama local government area of Borno State. Twenty-three soldiers, including five officers and 18 soldiers, were reported by the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, to be missing. According to our source, the military deployed 81 Brigade less than a month ago at Jilli because the village is a major crossing point for Boko Haram from Kukareta to Geidam. The Brigade is made up of about 1,000 soldiers, which is about half the normal strength of a brigade. On the day of the attack, there was a distribution of uniforms to the troops going on when Boko Haram fighters attacked around 5.00pm. “When Boko Haram opened fire on the troops, they tried to fight back but were overpowered. Boko Haram fighters arrived with many anti-aircraft guns while the soldiers were limited to AK-47 riffles. The only support weapons readily available were machine guns but these are very old and not too reliable. It intermittently stops when being fired and this is not good in a battlefield,” the source said. According to the source, the army authority was still servicing the armoured tanks that were to be deployed for the brigade before the unfortunate attack... https://www.icirnigeria.org/jilli-attack-army-suffers-heavy-casualty-62-soldiers-killed/#.W04EGQIGJbw.twitter |
The Yoruba Council of Elders is right that Nigeria's biggest security problems are concentrated in the North and these problems are draining the country's resources. Are the Boko Haram terrorists not Northerners, mainly from the Northeast ?. Is religious violence not concentrated in the North ?. Are Muslim fanatics that attack Churches and loot Igbo shops in the name peaceful protests not Northerners ?. Are these mobs that extra-judicially lynch non-Muslims for alleged blasphemy not Northerners ?. Do Yoruba Muslims take the laws into their own hands by lynching others for alleged blasphemy ?. Don't the Southwest have Muslims ?. Why are they not behaving violently in the name of religion ?. Why is religious extremism and violence concentrated in the North ?. Are the violent Fulani bandits not Northerners ?. If you argue that the violent herdsmen are foreigners, then why are foreigners claiming right to grazing land in Benue State by violent means, which led to introduction of anti grazing laws ?. Are the notorious ethnic militias that murder children and pregnant women not Northerners ?. While the Niger Delta leaders have always played active roles in the achievement of peace by talking their youths out of violence, why have the Borno Elders, the ACF, the Northern Elders Forum and others failed to play any effective role in ending the violence that engulfs the North ?. These Northern groups are more active in terms of calling for the return of political power to the North and retaining power than in ending the violence for which the region become notorious. In May 2014, when former President Jonathan offered amnesty to the Boko Haram terrorists, what efforts did these Northern leaders make to give the initiative a fillip ? , Virtually nothing. Instead, they were accusing Jonathan of being behind Boko Haram to "depopulate" the North for the so-called political advantage. When the late President Umaru Musa Yar'adua offered amnesty to the Niger Delta militants, the leaders of oil producing region had proved their relevance and influence by persuading their youths out the violent agitations. Not only that, they also persuaded their boys to lay down their arms and they did and peace returned to the region. Instead of giving Jonathan's amnesty offer for Boko Haram a push, Northern leaders were living in denial about the reality of the terror group being a Northern problem, despite the fact that Kanuri boys dominate the membership of the gangs of mass murderers. In fact, some even ridiculously believed that it was a CAN agenda to destroy or eliminate Muslims, despite the fact that Boko Haram suicide bombers were targeting Churches almost every week or day. The so-called Borno Elders were busy playing politics with the issue while the monster was getting stronger and crueller. The problem with us Northerners is that we don't want to acknowledge the reality of the problem on our hands. We always look for excuses to comfort ourselves, from religious fundamentalism, violent extremism and the menace of the herdsmen. Instead taking a vstand against these evil realities. If you say herdsmen are not Nigerians, why should foreigners claim a right to land in Benue State or anywhere else, and kill farmers that resist their encroachment ?. There are Fulanis in Mali, Chad, Cameroon, Burkina Faso, Niger Republic and other parts of Africa. Why are not engaged in the massacre of the people in those places ?. If they are obeying the law elsewhere, why are they behaving with impunity in Nigeria ?. We should not allow murderers to ruin our peace and peaceful coexistence because of ethnic, cultural, and linguistic affinity. Tribalism and insatiable quest for power more often than religious basis is behind these evil. The north west are major sponsors of Boko Haram now transformed into fulani herdsmen!! Nobody will come from another place to solve these problems for us. It is our baby, we must deal with it, it is time for action. It is time Northerners spoke with one voice over these evils that have blighted the progress of Northern Nigeria, a region that ranks lowest on the ladder of the development index. The Truth is bitter but is better it is said as its were. NA-ALLAH MUHAMMED ZAGGA |

"WHAT JUNE 12 REVEALS ABOUT NIGERIAN DEMOCRACY Femi Aribisala. The 1993 election was annulled because a free and fair election in Nigeria is fundamentally unacceptable to the powers-that-be in the North. Exactly 25 years ago, a landmark election was held in Nigeria after ten long years of military rule. There were two main contestants: Moshood Abiola of the Social Democratic Party and Bashir Tofa of the National Republican Convention. Abiola was from the South-west: Tofa from the North-west. Although the results of the election have never been officially certified, nevertheless, they are well known and readily-accessible. Abiola won with 8,243,209 votes; while Tofa lost with 5,982,087 votes. The election was annulled by the military regime of General Ibrahim Babangida. The INEC of the day was not allowed to declare the result officially. Abiola was subsequently arrested by another usurper military ruler, Sani Abacha; and he died mysteriously while still in government detention. As a result, the country was plunged into a political crisis that took another seven years to resolve. But even that resolution failed to address the real reason why it was felt necessary to annul the election. The issue was patched-up in 1999 by the agreement that the next president of Nigeria must come from Abiola’s South-west. Therefore, in the election of that year, two sons of the South-west, Olusegun Obasanjo and Olu Falae contested the presidency virtually exclusively, and Obasanjo was elected president. Fake redemption The present government of President Buhari has now decided to recognize the victory of M.K.O. Abiola in the 1993 election. It has declared that henceforth Democracy Day will no longer be celebrated as a public holiday on May 29 but on June 12, the day of that 1993 election. M.K.O. Abiola has also been awarded illegally the posthumous national honour of Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR); the highest national honour in Nigeria. However, what the government has not done, and what it will not do, is to make official the result of the 1993 election. The 1993 election was annulled because of the results. It was annulled because it was free and fair. The election was annulled because a free and fair election in Nigeria is unacceptable to the powers-that-be in the North. You need to know the reason behind this, and I will endeavor to tell you. President Babangida and his Northern cohorts had no problem with Abiola becoming the president of Nigeria in 1993. They did not expect him to win and were surprised that he won. But if they did not want him to be president, they would not have allowed him to be on the ballot in the first place. What they found unacceptable was what his victory revealed. It was in their interest to ensure that this did not come to the general knowledge of Nigerians. By still refusing to certify the 1993 election results, while getting accolades in some quarters for finally admitting officially that Abiola was the winner, the present Nigerian government is still determined that the truth revealed by the election results should not be known. In effect, the rehabilitation of the 1993 election in Nigeria today is no more than a political gambit primarily designed to shore up lagging support for the APC in the South-west in view of the looming 2019 elections. Open secret The 1993 election is widely regarded as the only free and fair election that has ever taken place in Nigeria. Since that is the case, consider the following truths that the election results revealed. In 1993, more people voted in the South than they did in the North. We are told time and time again that the political advantage of the North is that it is more populous than the South, and that this gives the North a certain advantage during elections. Given the fact that in nearly 60 years, we have yet to conduct a credible census in Nigeria, there has been no way of verifying the validity of this assumption that flies in the face of logic and geography. However, the free and fair presidential election of 1993 provides us with a solid answer. In that election, (and I repeat for emphasis, the only free and fair election ever conducted in Nigeria), with only two candidates on the ballot, one from the North and the other from the South, only 5,962,085 people voted in the North relative to 8,243,209 who voted in the South. In effect, that highly-contested election revealed what most of us always knew: there are more people in the South than in the North. In 1993, the North only provided roughly 40% of the electorate in Nigeria, while the South provided roughly 60%. IBB and his cohorts who decided to annul the election did not want Nigerians to know this. Implications Since it is now recognized officially by the present Nigerian government no less that the 1993 presidential election was free and fair, then it stands to reason to maintain by the same token that the 2015 presidential election was a sham. Observe the following for example. We are meant to believe today that the most populous state in the federation is Kano; thereby Kano delivers the largest number of votes in elections in Nigeria. Against all reason and logic, it is said that Kano even has a larger population than Lagos, even though in 1991, Jigawa State was carved out of Kano. This is simply incredible! However, in the 1993 presidential election, the only free and fair election in the history of Nigeria now validated by the Buhari administration, and with a favourite son of Kano on the ballot in the person of Bashir Tofa; Kano could only deliver 442,176 votes, less than half that of Lagos’ 1,033,397 votes. Therefore, the 1993 presidential election results show conclusively that the large votes generally attributed to Northern states and especially Kano in Nigerian elections are fictitious. In 2015, the presidential election between Goodluck Jonathan and Muhammadu Buhari was level-pegging until the bombshell of Kano’s result was announced. While we were told 1,678,754 people voted in Lagos, an incredible 2,364,434 people were said to have voted in Kano. On the basis of the 1993 template, this just cannot be true. But it did not stop there. Another 1,153,428 votes came from Jigawa, which was carved out of old Kano. In effect, these two states of old Kano had 3,517,862 votes, nearly 2 million votes more than that of Lagos in 2015. And yet, Lagos is clearly the most populous state in the federation; a fact attested to by the 1993 presidential election results. With Buhari said to have received 1,903,999 votes from Kano, more than the entire votes cast by everybody in Lagos, and another 885,988 votes from Jigawa; making a total of 2,789,987, his lead in the 2015 presidential election suddenly became unassailable. Elder Godsday Orubebe was so outraged by this disclosure, he disrupted the proceedings at the national collation center, seized the microphone and accused the INEC chairman, Attahitu Jega, of partiality to the APC. Although he was subsequently constrained to apologise for this infraction, his outburst is understandable in light of the outrageously padded votes awarded to the APC. Loaded future elections The problem here is that this fiction of outrageous votes by the states of the North-west in particular has now been locked in into the DNA of Nigerian elections. Elections can now be won fictitiously in Nigeria by reliance on the outrageous votes of the North-west based on the 2015 template. Jega’s gift to the North was that he laid the foundation whereby all future elections in Nigeria will henceforth be decided by inflated Northern votes; unless something drastic is done about it. When government stalwarts keep insisting today that the APC cannot lose the election in 2019, in spite of the dismal performance of the government over the last three years, you can now see why they are so confident. Thanks to Jega, the dice has been loaded since 2015 in APC’s favour. So, when Babangida and his Northern subalterns saw the 1993 presidential election result, they refused to declare it. To declare it is to completely demystify the North and expose the Northern population supremacy in Nigeria as fiction. In 1993, the election result showed Kano provided less than half the votes of Lagos, even with a Kano candidate on the ballot. How then could Kano have so overtaken Lagos in population as to provide more votes for the APC by a wide margin in 2015 than the votes cast in Lagos? In 1993, the four largest states by vote in Nigeria were all from the South. So where did all the Northern voting juggernauts of later years, including 2015, come from? In 1993, Kano did not even provide the largest cache of votes from the North, given the fact that Jigawa was carved out of it. Northern states like Plateau, Kebbi and Niger provided more votes than Kano. Southern states like Rivers, Ogun, Anambra and Oyo also provided more votes than Kano in 1993. Out of the then 30 states of 1993, Kano provided only the 14th largest number of votes. So what accounts for the subsequent transformation of Kano as the great provider of votes for Northern candidates in Nigerian elections? Catch 22 So, if the government is genuine about accepting the verdict of the 1993 presidential election result, let the government also accept the official figures of that election. Let it reveal the results officially for the world to see. Otherwise, how could it have reached the conclusion that Abiola won the election without the election results? The 1993 presidential election was by all accounts the best free and fair election ever in the history of Nigeria. Except for the South-west, which voted overwhelmingly for Abiola, the election was keenly contested everywhere. In the North, Abiola obtained 3,108,218 votes, while Tofa received 3,369,848 votes. In the East, Abiola obtained 739,748 votes; while Tofa received 790,371. In the South-South, Abiola received 1,299,352 votes; while Tofa received 1,252,340. This shows Abiola was not a regional candidate. He obtained a national mandate. Significantly, he obtained more votes in Kano (169,619) than did Tofa (154,809); despite the fact that Kano is Tofa’s home state. But the June 12 saga has now been politicised. Politicisation means it is now presented as if the annulment was essentially an affront to the South-west. In actual fact, the annulment was an affront to all Nigerians by a Northern cabal who persist in the insistence that the will of the people of Nigeria should not be done at the polls. The declaration of June 12 as a national public holiday and glorification of Abiola is a political gift to the South-west in this election season; otherwise the full results would also have been officially certified. Failure to certify the 1993 result guarantees that the 2019 presidential election will also be a sham." ~ Femi Aribisala

I am Angry...! Inu n'bi mi....! Not because of the rumpus about a little traffic that Buhari's June 12 poisoned chalice is causing on social media walls, but because some people will cash in on this to have a run on the Yoruba... That is my angst. To say, NOT ONE VOTE, will go to Buhari for this in 2019, from Yorubaland, might not be obvious yet, but it will in a matter of days... But... the sheer idea of the insult of a posthumous award to someone Buhari hated, just to get at Obasanjo and to foolishly think the Yoruba will gulp it all down, are the reasons for my angst... We are all stupid! Nigeria is a stupid country and Buhari knows.. otherwise he wouldn't have been president in the first place. These were my thoughts as I was battling the gullibility of Nigerians on another platform, until I took a breather to come here on Facebook only to see the very words of the Master splash the thoughts in my head into eloquent words... And immediately I became Sated! Kikero{spelt Cicero} Kayode Samuel wrote in so few words, but he captured the whole thing about who we are: "They know we're dumb. For if we were not dumb they shouldn't be in power in the first place. Now June 12 is the latest gambit. And they got us hailing and clapping..." Nothing more to say... #HeavingASighOfRelief Gboyega Adejumo |

He announced that the Nigerian Military Command will be moving from Abuja to Maiduguri in order to fight Boko Haram. Maiduguri, the State capital of Borno, has been the epicenter of the battle against Boko Haram. It is also where about 200 Chibok schoolgirls were abducted and still have not been returned. Maiduguri has also been subjected to unrelenting attacks and suicide bombings for several years. President Buhari stated during his speech that, “The command centre will be relocated to Maiduguri and remain until Boko Haram is completely subdued. But we can not claim to have defeated Boko Haram without rescuing the Chibok girls and all other innocent persons held hostage by insurgents.”.... http://saharareporters.com/2015/05/29/buhari-announces-military-command-relocating-maiduguri

The Muslim Media Watch group has call for the closure of all boarding facilities in all schools in the North Eastern Part of the country until Boko Haram is totally decimated and holistically uprooted. The National Coordinator of the group Ibrahim Abdullahi said the recent abduction of 110 Dapchi female students has reverse the progress made in the area of security. According to him, the Federal Government should urgently put security agencies on red alert not only in Yobe state but throughout North East but the country at large. He said, government should commence the immediate posting of security operatives to all schools in the north east adding that lapses should not be allowed to occur on security matters again. https://www.dailytrust.com.ng/close-all-boarding-schools-in-north-east-muslim-group.html

Nigerian Bank Cards To Be Barred Internationally From March 2018 Egmont group is set to expel Nigeria’s Financial Intelligence Unit (NFIU) by March 2018. This is on the agenda of the Egmont Working Group and Heads of FIU Meeting between the 2nd and 7th of March, 2018 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The Egmont group, which is a global network of 152 Financial Intelligence Units (FIUs) had earlier suspended Nigeria in July 2017 following the consensus by the members of the group at the 24th plenary of the group in Macao, SAR. If expelled, Nigeria will suffer a blacklist in the global finance sector and Nigerian Banks will be unable to issue Mastercard and Visa credit/debit cards while card transactions with Nigerian originated cards will be blocked meaning Nigerians cannot do foreign transactions. This is one of many other costs of the i This is one of the many other consequences of this looming decision. In the first place, the decision to suspend Nigeria’s FIU largely due to the fact that it has operated under the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission with high level of interference and meddling by the Ibrahim Magu led anti-corruption agency. Magu by court orders is an illegal appointee who has continued to receive the backing of Vice President Yemi Osinbajo. The NFIU in this position flagrantly violates Recommendation 29 of the FATF standards that stipulates that the FIU must remain independent and devoid of any form of interference. In Macao, the Egmont group specifically pointed out that the Magu led EFCC had continued to leak sensitive information to the media and the agency has continued to blackmail individuals using highly confidential financial intelligence available to it. ]The FIU in its statement announcing the consensus decision to suspend NFIU membership status said.. http://www.thewhistle.ng/egmont-group-magu-osinbajo/

BREAKING NEWS! TIV SEEKS INDEPENDENCE FROM NIGERIA, WRITES UNITED NATIONS The Secretary-General January 15, 2018 United Nations New York Sir, APPLICATION FOR UN DECLARATION OF MIDDLE-BELT AS REPUBLIC Of TAKURUKU On behalf of the leadership of Sovereign Republic of Takuruku Movement and good citizens, we hereby solicit for United Nations’ (UN) declaration and support of the international community to the Middle-Belt region as an independent country out of Nigeria. The Republic of Takuruku is a country built on the foundation of the fear of God and truly democratic. The secession of the Middle-Belt out of Nigeria has become imperative for the following reasons: In Nigeria, Tiv are the most cheated people and taken for granted despite the fact that they are the 4th largest ethnic group in a nation of 250 tribes. The people have sacrificed more than other tribes in the struggles to keep Nigeria as one indivisible sovereign nation, and have contributed more to the socio-economic and political development of the country without reward, rather the people are been annihilated, denied of their inalienable rights and known only when it is time to douse crisis. Before the advent of oil boom in Nigeria, agriculture was the main source of foreign exchange and the Tiv were the major contributors of the agric produce for export without demand for any resource control or derivation on the income as it is being done today by the Niger-Delta indigenes, who insists on getting 13 percent oil derivation monthly. The income from the Tiv sweat was used for development of the country with little federal presence in the Middle-Belt particularly Tiv land compared with the Northern states that have everything; talk of the tap running with water, good express roads, qualitative heath care and educational facilities, name them; while roads in the Middle-Belt region have become death traps and the hospitals mere consulting clinics. The Native Authority ( NAs) created by the British colonial masters, for the North they have multiplied into more than ten states mainly occupied by the Hausa/Fulani while the NAs in the Middle-Belt region have been merge into few states and the Tiv scattered in some of the states with other hostile tribes who have been molesting them on the deception by the Fulani terrorists that they should join allied forces with them to wipe out the Tiv on earth and share their land given to them by the all mighty God as their Canaan. The massacre of Nigerians by the Fulani terrorists dated back to 1804, when Othman Danfodio declared Jihad against the people. After that incident, over the years there has been carnage on Tiv nation across Plateau, Nasarawa, Benue and Taraba states. Fulani have deceived Tiv’s neighbors like Jukun, Kuteb, Arago and the rest of other members of the Kwararafa confraternity to form allied forces and annihilate the Tiv and occupy their land. One begins to wonder if the Tiv nation is not part of Nigeria as nobody cares about the heinous attack on them with impunity by the Fulani marauders; killing children, pregnant women and unborn babies, the old, raping of wives and daughters, and destruction of property. When the Federal Government that enters into social contract with the people to protect their lives and property turn blind eyes to a group of people that has chosen to be lawless in all its dealing such as the Fulani trade union, called Miyeti Allah Kauta Hore, despite their earlier threat to cause insurrection in the Middle-Belt valley. After the fulfillment of the threat they, in various press outings, came boldly to accept responsibility of the barbaric and inhuman acts. This is the highest degree of exhibition of sense of irresponsibility and Nebuchadnezzaric character. The Sultan of Sokoto that usually vehemently condemns attack on Fulani herdsmen and their cows keeps mute anytime his subject massacre Tiv people without any provocation. Even though the Nigerian law prohibits the unlawful possession and carrying of arms by the citizens, the Fulani herdsmen continue to bear most sophisticated weapons such as AK47 and used them at will to kill innocent farmers without the Federal Government or law enforcement agencies raising eyebrows, since the perpetrators of the genocide on the people of Middle-Belt are not arrested and prosecuted. In addition, the Federal Government has provided security for the herders and their cows that are not paying tax, using the tax payer’s money but none for the farmers who have been paying tax. The Federal Government has also made a policy to create cattle colonies by forcefully taking away 100 hectares of land from indigenes in the 36 states of the federation and the federal capital territory Abuja. What an injustice? Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue state in his effort to bring lasting solution to ensure peace and development, enacted the Anti-Open Grazing and Ranching Establishment Law, accepted as world standard practice, has been arrogantly resisted by the terrorists who have fulfilled their threat to invade the Benue valley where they have killed over 100 persons, wounded others and caused untold destruction of property. What else can a reliable friend do to harmoniously co-exist with a friend? In all these good friendly gesture by the Tiv to the Fulani, they have insisted on truncating the law of triangle boundary in relationship with the Tiv by attempts to forcefully Islamize them or take away their land. According to the Fulani, the vegetation of the Benue valley is more nutritious for their cows, valued more than human beings. Basically, the law stipulates that no one should set boundary for anybody but allow people to set it for themselves so that they can take responsibility for their freedom and face the consequences that follows. Even God the creator of heaven and earth has given liberty to mankind to worship Him or the devil. The choice is yours not forgetting the perfect will of the Lord, which leads to eternal life and His permissive will, to destruction. The people, particularly the Tiv have passed through many unpalatable historical experiences in the hands of the Sokoto caliphate despite their show of solidarity support to their suppossed Fulani, to acquire political power in control of the entire Nigeria but it is not enough for them and the only pay back to the Tiv is to annihilate them and occupy their land, which according to them, has vegetation with more nutrient for their cows. Such a display of greed and avarice! Now, besides the series of dehumanized acts against the Tiv by the Arewa oligarchs who claim to be their historic friend (Abokin Kura) over the years, the same Hausa/Fulani set the Tiv people against Biafra (Igbo people) during the civil war of 1967-1970 and now Tiv and Ibo have become enemies. The Tiv had supported the Sokoto caliphate to acquire political power but they are unable to manage it for the interest of the totality of Nigerians rather they have become more Nigerians than others and oppressors of the masses. The Tiv people have been placed between the blue sea and the devil as they have no friend in the Arewa and Biafra political blocs. The fear is with the agitation for breakaway of the federating units of Nigeria. For instance, if the Ibo realized their dream of having Biafra republic, other minority tribes in the Middle-belt region especially the Tiv definitely cannot go with them because of their antecedence of hatred and lack of accommodation for them, caused by the Hausa/Fulani who deceived the northern minorities to gang up against the Ibo who are today celebrating the nemesis against the Tiv by saying Ntoo! Meaning, serves them right, because of the pogrom of Tiv by the Fulani terrorists (Chenaka ba ka sen na gida ba) meaning, the house ant that does not know it’s roommate. On the other hand, the dominance, marginalization and religious intolerance of the Hausa/Fulani is not palatable to the Middle-Belt nationalities who are predominantly Christians. The Arewas pretend to be generous when they needed support but after success they dump their supporters while the Biafrans refer to anybody in the Middle-belt as Hausa and treat the person as enemy, unaware that there are other tribes in the region and the Ibo seems to be too selfish for comfort. From the above analogy, the Middle-belt minorities will prefer to resort to the foundation already laid by Senator Joseph Tarka of blessed memory for them when he led the agitation for independence of the Middle-belt region to go to where they will be celebrated. That is why the independence of the sovereign Republic of Takuruku for the people of Middle-Belt, Nigeria has become necessary, since no one love them in Nigeria. Having looked at the situation from the physical side, let us take a view of the spiritual perspective. Akin to the Jews who were massively killed during the holocaust by the Nazi Germany, now the Jews have an independent nation of Israel, the tide has changed in favour of the victims of the Fulani carnage now that they have reconciled with their God. As a reward for the Tiv who have made their path right with God He has forgiven their transgression for derailing from the original plan of God for them during their migration into the Middle-Belt valley. According to the prophecy of Archbishop Yimam Orkwar, God has pardoned, given them comfort and taken over the battle of the Middle-Belt people and has transferred their afflictions to their enemies, in Isaiah 40:2, 51and 52:1- 2. For the oppressors of the people of Middle-belt, they were cautioned not to celebrate their atrocities against the people but expect shame ahead. With the calamity upon the people of Middle-Belt, God has not abandoned his people as the nature of God is when He uses someone to punish His people He turns back to use them and punish the enemy, like He used Ai to punish Israel and later empowered Israel to destroy them. God in His love and mercy has heard the cry and seen the tears of Benue people as a memorial and has forgiven them. But to their enemies, all the atrocities committed against the Middle-Belt people will return back to them and their future generations a thousandfolds, according to Act 4:23-25. The wrath of God is going to consume the tormentors of the Benue people particularly the Fulani and their cattle, and the wealth of the heathen transferred to them and makes the enemies their slaves. The people across Plateau, Nasarawa and Benue state have been consoled to note that God seated on His throne is laughing at the stupidity of their enemies for attacking them without committing any offence to anybody but because the Lord has given the people fertile land as their Canaan, the enemies have conspired and because of grid and envy are trying to take away what does not belong to them. For example, Paul and his team suffered for no crime but for the gospel and God saw them through. The people have been urged to trust in God at this critical time and they will never be disappointed as He will stand for them and the atrocities against them will backfire to their oppressors in Jesus name. Takuruku Republic is a dream which time has come as the people, particularly the children of Tiv are now sharing in the suffering with Jesus Christ, which is not in vain but they will also surely share in the comfort of Christ, who is now seated at the right hand of God who is the source of comfort. The Lord has rewarded the people with the gift of Plateau,Nasarawa,Benue,Taraba and Cross River states as SOVEREIGN REPUBLI OF TAKURUKU, with a viable economy, which is their Canaan with a well defined boundary with international community, Cameroon. However, in order to sustain the victory, the people have been admonished to continue to pray, praise and worship, and thank to God for the pardon and bringing them back to fellowship together with Him on earth and eternity. Unlike their oppressors, God has given them comfort to make their neighbours comfortable too, according to 2 Corinthians 1:1-12 Dr. Ortindi Torough Baka Leader, Sovereign Republic Of Takuruku Movement And President/founder of Awoken Gospel Culture International #LetsContinue |
