Health / Re: Doctor in the House: Free Medical Advice Available by Bukizo(f): 7:13pm On Oct 14, 2014
Hello DrMalik

Have you ever heard of plantar fasciitis? If so, can it be cured? I think my arch may have fallen due to prolonged standing.

The lateral side of my left foot is swollen and painful. It's been going on for years and it's starting to impact on my lifestyle.
I have used arch support but never seemed to help, any suggestions?

Boyloaf: sometime around december 2009, my gf who av dated for 4years was abt to crumble my hrt!
Firstly, she went out clubbin wit a new toaster n called me around 12am dat she was comin to my place after clubbin, meanin i shud stay awake 2 open d gate to my compound; she came 30mins after d call n i allowed her in. I calmly xplained to her how hurtin i was due to her recent actions n at d end of my speech, i told her ''I LOVE U'', she did nt respond, i repeated d quoted phrase, then she shouted at me sayin ''AND SO WAT?''

you hung around after that? that was a big slap in ur face and u waited for some more...hmmmm

Romance / A Romantic Date To Remember - Good Or Bad, Please Share Your Experiences Here by Bukizo(f): 7:20pm On Jul 30, 2012
I'll start with mine...

This was some years ago around December as schools were breaking for xmas. I’d already made up my mind not to go home for xmas as i had tons of work catch up on b4 jan exams.
So i bumped into this guy who happened to be an acquaintance. We exchanged greetings and he asked me to go out with him saying that he needed company and that he wasn’t going home for the holidays either.
I was reluctant at first being that I work late most nights, i knew i would be too tired for any outing but he managed to convince me.
So, this guy came n picked me with a cab and as a got in, i realised he had a friend with him who was already tipsy. Got to a bar/club, his friend was denied entrance because he had trainers on and most clubs don’t allow in guys wearing trainers so we ended up going to a small bar that didn’t have strict dress code...
This guy spent the whole night talking about and praising himself on his achievements. Meanwhile, it was his tipsy friend that bought the drinks he had that night. I had a drink, which i paid for.
Cut the long story short, it was time to go home...and because it was pretty late and with all the other clubbers tryin to get home too, taxis were scarce. This guy told me not to worry, that he had everything under control, i believed him. 20mins outside in the cold and still no cab and to make matters worse, it started raining. I was tired, drenched and cold...bad combo! angry
I had to take matters into my own hands and found us a cab. By that time, his tipsy friend had gone off with a random girl so it was just him and i on the ride home.
I got off at my house expecting him to just wave me goodbye and continue with the taxi home but he got off as well. I asked him why he got off and he said he lives nearby that he would walk. At this point i expected him to settle the cab man let him be on his way...he then said to me that he doesn’t have any cash. I suggested he get back in the cab to find a cash point nearby to get some cash and he said he didn’t have his wallet either shocked shocked
I was too frustrated and irritated to even say anything to him other than “just go”. I had to settle the cab driver angry

Romance / Re: Dumped After Blood Covenant And Abortions by Bukizo(f): 5:40pm On Jun 12, 2012
Serious mata! if this guy can stand by and watch u abort 4 pregnancies then he doesnt care for u. He had no regard for ur health nor safety..he prob never had any intention of marrying u. Girl, u need to find ur inner strength and just forget him, it'll be hard but just take it one day at a time. cry if u need to, talk to ur friends and pray for strength. You deserve better than this!

Health / Re: Should Ac And Sc Genotype Marry by Bukizo(f): 1:01pm On Mar 31, 2012
dgr8test:

sickle-cell hemoglobin C is another variant of sickle cell genotype which is not has common as S and a stronger form of sicke-cell hemoglobin compare to C, sickle cell crises in people with SC is usually not as severe as those with SS. However when an AC marry an SC individual your chance of having a sickle cell patient is 50%, because for every pregnancy you stand the chance of having any of the following genotypes, AS, AC, SC $ CC. Anybody with genotype SC & CC are sickle-cell patient are prone to having crises at anytime.
My candid advice is that DO NOT MARRY
because the pain and agony that the patient does go through when they are in crises could lead to death at any age. I have seen a sickle patient that live up to the age of 62, never receive blood transfusion until he develop aplastic crises when the marrow cell suddenly stopped producing red cell. He was given multiple blood transfusion which failed to revive him. cry

Romance / Wondering If He's The One? by Bukizo(f): 7:48pm On Mar 11, 2012
Marry the man who...

Isn’t afraid to say I love you.

Loves and respects you as much as he loves and respects his mother.

Isn’t too proud to admit he doesn’t want to lose you.

Listens even when you think he isn’t.

Watches you sleep.

Kisses you on the forehead.

Would rather cut off his hands than put them on you.

Who isn’t too ashamed to keep calling you when you won’t take his calls.

Can never refer to you as “the one who got away” because he always knew he couldn’t live without you.

Will stand up for you no matter what.

Will learn something new for you.

Will try something new for you.

Brings out the best in you.

Would be willing to miss his team play in the finals to spend a special evening with you.

Respects your friends and family as much as he respects you.

Doesn’t just text you, but rather, will pick up the phone and call you because he needs to hear your voice.

Who shows you his softer side, and admits the things he’s most afraid of.

Thinks you’re pretty without makeup.

Is patient with you.

Calls you beautiful instead of hot.

Wants to show you off to the world whether you’re in sweats or an evening gown.

Who speaks with love and not anger.

Who doesn’t need to be told you need him, he can just tell.

No food over here is good enuf to be missed while in 9ja.

I remember the last time I was home, one late morning, I was offered all the cereal in the world for breakfast but none appealed to me, I wanted something different...i saw pap (the ones inside leaf) on the kitchen table and i opted for that with efo riro, my family tot i had lost it lol. I tell u, that was the best brunch i've had in a long time!

I can never miss any food while in 9ja o, there is so much food i miss every single day being here. craving for suya right now grin cheesy

Lexoria:

Try being married 7yrs and hubby forgetting ur birthday 4 out of 7,lets see if he remembers this 8th year.It usually feels really bad, kinda leaves a bad taste in one's mouth but I usually get over it albeit after 2weeks and life goes on but I always bring it up.I'm the 'Don't tell me Merry Christmas,Happy New year and the rest but don't forget to tell me HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!'type.@ OP Don't worry,Wifey will come around.
For the record I don't forget anyone's special days unless you aint very close to me.

Gosh! my bf forgot once and i wasnt happy about it (bearing in mind that i went all out on his bday just a month before mine, smh). dunno how i wld take my husband forgetting tho, but then again like u said life goes on, cant exactly call off the wedding coz of that eh? why is it that it's just men that forgets
