if u succeded in rooting ur device b4 u only need 2 dl superuser 2 gain root access again after recovery. i jst noticed dt u cnt convert d superuser 2 system file cus its a 'read-only' file bt still looking 4 ways to cus i belive its a lasting solution to frequent su dln

BLAZE4DEM: My p3 was stuck at the tecno logo... so i borrowed a friends p3 and did a nandroid backup cus i did not have mine
Found lots of help online especially from this link http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f606/tecno-n3-custom-rom-gingerbean-1653251/ ......

You need 2 files system.yaffs2.img and boot.img from any p3 backup.
You need a Laptop
You need AIO Flasher and ADB drivers for p3
You need your usb cable
and you must put your phone in fastboot mode (press vol down bottun and on the phone you will see the tecno logo only)


Run Android AIO flasher.exe (found in tools needed folder)
next, in the AIO flasher window, the very first menu is what concerns us i.e. where its written fastboot flasher (Nandroid Restorer)(the others we shall explain in later tutorials)
click boot
click Select file(browse to where you saved the boot.img you downloaded above)
click erase
click flash

YOU MUST wait for the black window below to show "writing boot...OK" before you know its done

Congratulations your almost done!!

Simply repeat the same process for the sys.yaffs2.img file, only this time, we go:
click System
click Select file(browse to where you saved the sys.yaffs2.img you downloaded above)
click erase
click flash

once again
YOU MUST wait for the black window below to show "writing sys.yaffs2.img OK" before you know its done.
it should take about 50 seconds, depending on your system specs.

bros, my AIO flasher doesnt recognize my phone (always says device not found) i suspect d drivers are nt installed. pls wr can i dl tecno p3 adb installer?

Law naza: use ucweb to do all your downloading,it support resume

it doesnt just resume dls, u can even dl stuff to ur 'Udisk' 4 further dln at ur own time. guys i suggest y'all sign up 4 a udisk. tnx @ law naza, i still dey owe u

Nope, jst medled wit d *#*#4636#*#* code. I jst changed d ntwk preference to gsm/cdma auto n dat was all. Ever since it has bn deactivate n i hv bn tryn switch ot bk to its original setting bts nt reseting

Law naza: is because their phones are higher than our beloved p3 and you know that is what they like,n3 on the other hand i think is better than p3 by far

I dont know y u guys r still debating this issue. N3 is assumed higher cus it has bn moded to d fullest even to d point of custom ROMs, P3 is still in d kitchen, yet to b served wit new mods like d N3. Based on 2otb (out-of-the-box) specs P3 comes first. btw, my P3 jst locked d sim 1 n it doesnt recv/register ntwk again, i only use d sim 2 n u know hw slow it is, any solution pls?

It's not as good as you hyped it. I've used PicsArt and Cymera and I can tell you they're much better than Photo Wonder.

P3 rooting tip: if u hv dld ministro completly n super user is saying 'invalid package' jst look 4 a stronger ntwk in ur area, meanwhile i noticed dat mtn has an iss wit dln dat latest version of super user so try airtel or even glo pendin on which is stronger in ur area. NB ntwk is smoother/strongest early morning (2-5am) n its best to format ur device or uninstall all root demanding apps b4 rooting. BEST OF LUCKS!

ur mem shrink always bc u r always runing apps dat alot of cache eg 2go, fb, googlplay etc. dl an app manager eg. easy manager or dx toolbox to help u handle dat. as for partitioning read previous posts

Thats good battery optimization procedure. Ensure d battery dies completely n charge while switched off (not in use) u may even use desktop charger to hasten d charge bt finally use the charger to complete d charging. Uv nt yt answered my qstn........

viazi: @all those buying things from alibaba and aliexpress should be very carful. the most secure way to buy from these sites is the ESCROW payment option, any other means put U at the risk of loosing your money. There are also lots of substandard cloned goods flooding those sites.

As for Tecno Batteries, Guys sould be very careful where they buy from, ensure U buy from authorised dealers, trying to save 1 or 2k at the risk of getting substandard product is not worth it.My battery is great, far better than the stupid bold 4 I was using b4. Guys should follow the battery tips that people have pasted here, dont use avast antivirus, reduce display brightness, remove vibration, off bluetooth and gps.ONLY PUT THEM ON WEN NEEDED.Only chek your phone wen U have notification and wen U need to Use it.(Some people will never allow the Phone go on standby screen and this is bad habit.)I hardly use my POWER BANK since I uninstalled Avas. In all I love this Phone, its my mobile office, Those people criticising Tecno F7 are ingrates.
