TV/MoviesRe: Game Of Thrones Discussion (Beware Of Spoilers) by Bunique: 9:30pm On May 07, 2019
I just feel the dragons are too soft and not really combatant. compare these dragons in GOT to "Smaug" in the movie "the hobbits" who single handedly to sacked and occupied the home of the dwarves.
why did Dany not think of constructing strong body armor for her dragons?

Game week 34

La Liga

No team has been confirmed relegated yet.

Game week 31

EPL
Huddersfield relegated

Week 33

Fulham relegated.

Yet, EPL is the most competitive league

Maybe Epl is only competitive at the top of the table

Thanks to klopp and Liverpool for giving mancity a run for their money

If not for klopp and Liverpool mancity would have turn the Epl to French ligue 1
it still shows how tough and unforgiven the EPL is. There is no room for mistake in the epl: without funds, sufficient squad depth and luck against injury, it can be really difficult to cope. Man city with its squad depth still finds it difficult whenever fernandinho is missing or you imagine liverpool without Salah.

The police has never been this ridiculed in Nigerias history. The present IG has so reduced the police to a common thugish organization. What a pity!
not everything should be about politics. people are being invited or carried away to the police station daily so it is a police routine which i guess saraki is not above. besides we are talking about a robbery incident that claimed lifes. so anything to unravel the crime is welcomed

the same Christians are the ones who run the government, if the government has failed as most seem to agree, then what is the work of the church has a moral reformer? the church has failed us. if the church has a positive impact as all these structures seem to portray, we should be able to have atleast a corruption free country. how come we have wickedness and thieves everywhere

reading through this thread i just feel most Nigerians are ingrates. we forget so easily and are very quick to over hype our abilities. i will not forget the general atmosphere of our football before Rohr took over. look at the teams still at the tournament check where their players play compare that with our players.
many persons here before the world cup had no problem with Ighalo making the squad so why the insult on Rohr for taking Ighalo? tactics did not take us out rather our players failed and many persons here were happy with the players selected for the world cup. please let's move on and learn to appreciate because with this attitude no coach would want to work with us.

I don't think we lose the game due to tactics. we should stop blaming Rohr and judge the game on it own. no matter the tactics we would have employed, we would have needed players no execute it and some players let us down yesterday.
we had chances to score goals, what tactics do you need for Ighalo to score that chance? what ever tactics Argentina used it was still down to how they utilized it. we had better chances, if Rojo could score, what stopped ighalo from scoring that chance. lastly why was Rojo standing alone inside our box and had the calmness to bury that cross. as players certain things are basic you don't need the coach to tell you to pick each opposing players.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Bunique: 7:56pm On Jun 26, 2018
well 3-5-2 is overrated. we should have packed the bus

MetalJigsaw:
You're comparing our result to that of Spain, Argentina and Brazil. How did the Croatian team play?

Argentina played against an Iceland that were not ready to come out. They were fine with a draw- Parked the bus.

How can you campare Croatia with a Portugal that has a blazing Cristiano Ronaldo who single handedly snatched a point from spain??

Craotia were just average at best. They were there for the taking but our coach implemented a very wrong tacic despite failing with it on several occasions.
i am saying it is difficult for even very good teams known to score to get goals at this tournament. we did not make it easy against Croatia, Croatia did not create clear cut chances except for one. we lost due to errors on a lucky day we could have drawn that match.

What are you talking about Mr? Those countries you mentioned played with urgency, determination, Never-die-spirit attitude. We are not saying we should not lose but GALLANTLY. Either we will loose with 3-5-2 or not it shld be used since previous tactics is failing us. I want see same formation against Argentina in friendly game. Why is it difficult for Rohr to see that? Why is he stubborn? Why he want to waste all the resources spent on them to give them good preparations for the world cup. NFF and Nigerians gave him all the necessary supports he needed. When it was obvious is not performing up to expectation in friendlies, many Nigerians still believe in him that he will deliver by saying he is hidden tactics and all that which I didnt believe. Is this how he want to pay us?
Now he said we will play to get 4 points. Imagine A Coach Plannng On Playing For Four Points. How Will Four Points Help Nigeria? Instead Of Going For 6points, He's Confidently Going For Four Points. Rohr is being worried by mediocrity. Why not six point? He has resigned to fate that he cannot beat both Iceland and Argentina. What gave him the courage that with four points that Nigeria will go through? So 4 points is the target now out of available 6 points. When Rohr has lowered his expectation on the team, who am I to raise my hope high again. With this statement mediocre performance is guaranteed. Failure mentality always overwhelm him. Nigerians dnt give up easily even in our daily life, we work with determination, Never die attitude to be successful even if we are not the best. Why Rohr, why are you transferring your impossibility to our player? Why are you doing this to us? The players will paraded can do us proud if the coach is technical. We can see some tiki-taka with the way they played. Rohr is getting it wrong big time.
Rohr and Salisu can be called dump, Stupid, Foolish if they dnt do what they are suppose to do to get the results. Even at work our boss will call us these names if we are not doing the right thing because he is paying us. It's glaring Rohr dnt know anything. If you know, you know.
Rohr is very much aware of the 352 formation. he has his reasons for not using it. There is a reason most teams are not using it
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Bunique: 9:45am On Jun 18, 2018
Sacking Rohr will only take us back. Let's no get carried away, it will be difficult to attract a coach of high caliber. Rohr is disciplined and for the first time we are seeing steady progress and a clear road map to where we are going we will reap from the experience of this tournament regardless the outcome. am tired of us going in circles without direction. now we have a direction our team play may not be the best, that will be work in progress.
I don't think that Rohr is too conservative. lets go back to the beginning and you would see the changes Rohr has made on the team. Those shouting shehu, he was not even a favourite for that role. i remember ndidi playing rb then Kenneth before shehu grabbed that spot. where is elderson today? even the 352 we so much love now was brought by this same Rohr. Many here are looking at the good side of the formation why is nobody telling us the negative side of that formation abi we think that formation is the Golden without fault?
we are quick here to give excuses and look for whom to blame. after the Poland friendly, many blamed it on the absence of Mikel, with Mikel the whole team will click and ofcourse Shehu too was attacked many wanted Ebuehi to start against Serbia. we know how that match went and the resultant excuses that followed.
we need to calm down and understand that we do not have world class players yet and this team is relatively new.
SportsRe: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by Bunique: 9:19am On Jun 18, 2018
Guys here are just looking for excuses. it is possible we play 352 and still lose. we lost that game because of two mistake goals aside that we did very well. we made it difficult for them with the caliber of midfielders they possessed they could not create clear cut chances we were simply unlucky.
This world cup shows how difficult it is to score goals. Germany that is known for goals could not score yesterday even Brazil could not create clear chances to score they scored through the brilliance of Coutiho. what of Argentina? even spain could not use their smooth passes to score they relied on the individual doggedness of costa, even Portugal was more of the brilliance of Ronaldo. what of France, Uruguay with cavani and Suarez?
My point is teams are becoming more technical this is where you need players who would create something special, we need to make good use of our set pieces they may make the difference because most teams are now very cautious.

if Iwobi dont start at AM or even false nine with nacho, then we are doomed, anything but from wing just play ahead of mikel in midfield.

What stopped rohr from playing same tactics we used when we played argentina naa ??, its either he is a blind fool or Oliseh was right there is truely witches in NFF, for christ sake play iwobi nacho upfront then mikel from d center moses can even play RWB afterall thats what he played yesterday.

If not for mosses perisic for roast shehu for ramadan. Mosses can play there to accomodate him in that formation, I repeat I dont want to see Ighalo strike at all, dude is so clueless and hugs defenders a lot.

I believe rohr knows that if he lose against Iceland his departure is guaranteed.

I believe after
not true. there were occasions when perisic was on one on one with shehu and he did not roast him.

[quote author=BascoVanVeli post=68561421]you just wrote down the truth. people here are sentimental. shehu's name has been mentioned more than any other player even though he his not at fault for how inability to score. the boy well contained perisic, perisic could only make crosses from the wings. Even the Croatian LB did not over lap because of Moses and people want Shehu to leave perisic behind bumping forward.

Rohr has done well for us let's not forget. we did very well aside the errors we made. we only need to build from here, i would say we retain Rohr and let him continue the building of the team.

[quote author=goldfish80 post=68248928]The absence of Moses Simon has greatly affected the team playing Rohr’s preferred 4-2-3-1. His efficiency on the right brought out the best in Shehu, without him, Shehu hardly has any runner before him and a helper to track the runs of the opposite wing back and wing forward.
Ebuehi is playing well because he has a spare CB to cover for him in a 3-5-2 formation.
Rohr has a dilemma in his hands which he must figure out before the sink or swim game against Croatia . Also, it appears there's little understanding between Idowu and Moses. They hardly tag team on that left wing. My observation. i agree with your analysis, we do not have true wingers

Mikel did not do enough to help himself. i dislike mikel for staying put on Chelsea's bench instead of going elsewhere.
