No pun intended. Relationship is a two way thing. If u fancy the guy and he gets to know, don't you think he would catch in on that and take advantage of you? Obviously the guy doesn't give a hoot about you. He probably has a damsel somewhere and you are not striking enough to catch his attention.
On the other hand, you can initiate friendship with him somehow while you stay platonic on that level. If afterwards he takes a liking at you then be rest assured things would go your way. Easy does it.
