Ogbeni, I live in this part of the world where Covid-19 is rampant. This thing affects people with underlying medical issues and as such could be deadly. I never said there is no Covid..no i did not. Covid is overblown in scamming Naija. Over reported daily case figures..over reported daily discharge figures...those are just noisy data....noisy figures..that's where the scamming comes in.. have you heard of email compromising some hardworking criminal master mind have been monitoring your email communication for months looking for such opportunity. Don't blame your bank. It you are so sure it was your account officer you would have arrested him. Even you self nor sure sir.

Forget about email compromise guy. I communicated with the bank via domain email which was strong enough. I don't need to arrest the account officer, the bank will do their investigations.

Well I would advise they be called out on Twitter. If I for one have an account with them reading all this I would have closed my account with them. I personally don’t receive mails or alerts in my savings account. Imagine it’s me, they will be the account without me knowing.

I don't have twitter handle, I dislike twitter. I sent series of mail of account closure, I initiated closure of my account through the apps, two months on I still received "insufficient account balance" alerts on transactions I never initiated. Stanbic IBTC is just a good for nothing bank for all I care.

Clearly an inside job. Been using that account for years locally and internationally. Had a breach when I contacted my account officer from US. Different transactions were carried out several times a day. I got to see alerts days later when I checked my roamed naija line. I immediately moved the balance to a friend's account. I called and reported several times....nothing was done! God, Nigeria is a waste of a country

Lodge a complaint at a police station and swear an affidavit, take both police report and affidavit to the bank HQ, your money go come out no matter how long it takes.

Same happened to me months ago. I started having problems the day I sent a mail to my supposed account officer to open a domiciled account. He mailed back asking for few details and pronto I started receiving POS alerts on transactions I never made. 680k down the drain like that. That bank is complete fraud!
