No offense, reading most of the replies you post here really makes one wonder what kind of mother you are and what you are instilling in your children. I read some of your responses to one poster's topic from England coupled with what you posted on this topic are really matters of concern. Have you ever thought of young people reading posts like this?. The fact that you have issues in your matrimonial home does not have to make others join suit in your arbitrary decisions. There might be some relationships that could be saved. By the way did you not write in one topic praising your husband and his unmatched skills in marriage? has something changed that quick?. If you have nothing postive to say, why not just zip it?. It certainly looks like people who marry for ulterior motives would need advisers just like you, that's why they say "birds of the same feather flocks/fly together", oops! IN SUMMARY: Where you are using a sponsor , u need more documentary evidence and u need to convince them beyond reasonable doubt. Also, they will look at the course ur going to study and ur past school qualifications to see whether there is the likelihood of u coming back to Nigeria. Eg, somebody who read law in nigeria but wants to go and study fashion, they may not be convinced that you have strong ties to come back to nigeria. In my case, i read law in NIgeria and I've been working in law firms since i finsihed school and now, I'm doing an LLM.

Final note, if u still aren't sure, just go thru a representative.Eg, PFL, BCIE, ETC. Although it may come at a fee, it will definitely be worthwile.

I got my student visa on wednesday the 28/9/11 and I'm currnetly in the UK now. Here is how i went about my application. My parents are my sponsors but this is the way we went about it:

1. I paid all my tuition fees before i appplied for visa.

2. The only money i needed to show was my living expenses which was about 1.5m. That amount was put in my personal account for about thirty somethind days. Mind you, even when my application was pending, I didn't touch the money. The money belongs to my parents but it was put in my personal account for visa purposes.

3. I put the original bank statement of my personal account and my original credentials as listed on my CAS statement in my application.

4. I put a persaonal statement as to why i intend to study in the UK, and why I chose my particular school. At the end, i stated that i intend to come back and practice law in nigeria

I applied on the 19th of july and my passport was ready after 21 working days on d 17th of august i was refused though on the grounds of maintenance reapplied on d 21st of september and its 8days now am still waiting coz i believe its nt the rushing time i applied so it shd b out by the grace of God b4 d 14th of october deadl
Just keep trusting God. Heard of someone who was refused and re-applied and got her visa and is now in the UK. But make sure you remedy whatever reasons they gave in the first refusal letter. Cheers!!!

Please, I'd like to know if there is anyone like me in house, who is currently waiting for their UK student visa. I applied for my student visa on Monday, the 29th of September 2011. There are only two issues that need to be addressed.

1. The fact that the guy is a drop out is not a crime. The only bad thing about it is that he lied about it to his wife and thus, their marriage commenced on a very shaky foundation-deceit. That's not good at all.

2. The fact also that the guy is beginning to develop an "I don't give a damn attitude" is not a good sign. The bible says that a man who cannot provide for his family is worse than an infidel.

True Life Story!
A girl was attending a night party with some boys and when she was about leaving the house at about 10-11 pm, her mum escorted them to the car ( the boys came to pick her from her house) and she was saying the lord will go with you and protect you, and the daughter was like: "Mum, I don't think there is space for God in this car, maybe God can stay in the boot" The mother did not caution her and they went for the party. They had a crate of Eggs in the boot and on their way, they had a terribble accident where all occupants of the car died. The car was a total wreck and the boot was the only part of the car that was intact, with not one single egg cracked, talk less of broken, my opinion, God stayed in the boot where she put him and if she was in the boot with God, she may have survived.
