Politics › Re: Until We Remove APC, Nigeria Will Never Work by Burob: 12:14pm On May 24 |
Validated: The task of rebuilding Nigeria is something that every Nigerian must take seriously. As we all know, Nigeria has depreciated massively under the APC regime. The APC inherited a robust economy on a growth trajectory, a secured country, with Boko Haram practically decimated and only in Chad Basin, a social structure of religious tolerance. A country that was reckoned with in the comity of nations, a leader in Africa and black race. A respected country that Ghanaians, Benenoise, Togolese run to for economic shelter.
Look at what they (APC) has turned Nigeria into. A killing field from Sambisa Forest to Ogunpa River, from PH to Sokoto, nowhere is safe. Even Abuja is not safe. Our soldiers now run from the terrorists. From only Boko Haram, we now have ISWAP, Boko Haram, Herdsmen, Bandit, Lukurawa and several others. Kidnapping for ransom is now a new trade.
Look at the economy, they turned once vibrant economy to indescribable disaster. As it is now, the economy is in quagmire. They turned once productive and future looking country to a debtor nation, so much so that the country's debts servicing cost exceeds our revenue. Our Naira is now a worthless paper. Just re-imagine where our N1000 note was in 2014. Now look at what it can buy today. Yet they keep churning out propaganda here and there.
Before APC took over, Nigeria was generating about 7500MW of electricity, with the plan to achieve 20,000MW in the following 5 years (Vision 2020). Today, we are grappling with grid collapse every month. They are not able to sustain what they inherited. Every where is now FAILURE, FAILURE, & MORE FAILURE.
I will be scared to mention unemployment. Our youths are now Yahoo-Yahoo boys, while the girls are into prostitution just to survive. The APC so weaponized poverty that people are ready to do anything to survive.
What more can one say, fellow Nigerians, if we want things to reverse, we MUST remove this cancer of a party APC. You cannot keep doing the same thing, voting the sane people and expect a change. That is insanity.
Nigeria Youth wake up and save this nation. You have no other country than Nigeria. The sooner u can remove yourself from the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the better for u. No food for lazy man, & docile thinkers. |

Politics › Re: Rivers 2027: This Is How Fubara Will Help His Brother As A Sitting Governor by Burob: 11:47am On May 24 |
Freshtruth: If sim faubara knows the power he holds as a sitting governor during an election then he can help NDC candidate Blessing Fubara win very easily. Wike has already make a mistake by presenting another ikwere man as Apc governorship candidate after him and Ameachi did 16 good years together as sons from Ikwere. His brother blessing can actually use that as one of the campaign strategy the election is not a primaries is the major election himself to be decided by the people not delegates His brother sim is the number one citizen of the state he has the power to supervise the election by appointing special agent and security details on ground to prevent vote buyers and bus snatchers he can rig the election himself to his brother advantage. Blood is thicker than water no matter the party he is afflicted in he will still work for his brother. Blessing to me look like who is mor blood than sim I believe is a pre arrangement made by sim cause if he had decamp to NDC he would had offend tinubu and he will be facing impeachment by now. I believe sim is just play smart here. Wike shouldn't rejoice yet the battle is far from over the main ijaws can sit and wash ikwere dominate their own stae after 16yrs in head of affairs of rivers. This whole controversies might just play in favour of NDC presidential candidate peter obi . Rivers people might want to use the presidential election as a statement to what his to come during the governorship election. Port Harcourt people did it in 2015 even when the sitting governor Ameachi was in disagreement with the president, Apc got just 60k votes Is this a joke or what? |

Politics › Re: A Brief History Of The Creation Of The Obedient Movement Worldwide by Burob: 11:58pm On May 23 |
btvnigeria: A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE CREATION OF THE OBEDIENT MOVEMENT WORLDWIDE
The movement was originally known as the NYDP — Nigeria Youths Democratic Party. It emerged from the spirit and momentum of the #EndSARS movement in Abuja, driven by young Nigerians determined to build a better democratic future for the nation.
The party sought registration with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), but the application was declined. A prolonged legal battle followed; however, financial limitations eventually forced the movement to suspend its court action.
At that critical moment, a new opportunity emerged through a call from Pat Utomi, who had watched the NYDP Chairman on AIT Democracy Today. He invited the leadership for discussions on supporting his presidential ambition under the Labour Party.
Following several strategic meetings, Prof. Pat Utomi later stepped down in support of Peter Obi and encouraged the movement to remain “obedient” to whichever candidate the coalition would eventually present for the presidency. That defining moment gave birth to the Obedient Movement Worldwide.
The very next day, posters and banners flooded Facebook and other social media platforms announcing that the NYDP had become “obedient” to the coalition’s chosen presidential candidate. That singular action sparked a wildfire movement across Nigeria and beyond.
Interestingly, the term “Obedient” was first conceived as a complete movement identity independent of any individual personality or candidate. At the time, it was not directly tied to Peter Obi until the coalition eventually presented him as its sole presidential candidate under the Labour Party.
The Obedient Movement Worldwide was founded on the ideals of producing quality leadership, promoting good governance, defending democracy, and upholding the rule of law. The movement later adopted and endorsed Peter Obi as its presidential candidate for the 2023 elections.
However, after the elections, disagreements emerged regarding the direction and leadership structure of the movement. According to the founding members, the original ideology of the movement became overshadowed by personality politics rather than its broader national vision. Following months of internal consultations and leadership confrontations, the founding members resolved to reclaim and restructure the movement in 2025.
Today, the Obedient Movement Worldwide describes itself as a national political association dedicated to the advancement of Nigeria and the pursuit of a “New Nigeria” founded on justice, accountability, inclusion, and visionary leadership.
Through a series of press conferences, television appearances, and radio interviews across major Nigerian media platforms, the movement says it has regained national momentum and international attention.
The movement is now preparing for its National Convention in Abuja on June 25, 2026, as part of its strategic preparations toward participation in the 2027 general elections.
The organization is currently led by Dr. Barry Avotu Johnson 1st as International Coordinator, alongside a National Executive Committee (NEC), National Working Committee (NWC), and an expanding national structure across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, 36 states and the FCT, 774 local government areas, wards, and polling units.
The Obedient Movement Worldwide also describes itself as a rapidly growing global political mass movement with members and supporters across different parts of the world, united by the vision of building a New Nigeria that is Possible.
Even as the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) released guidelines and timelines ahead of the 2027 electioneering activities, the movement once again pursued its long-standing vision of building a youth-driven political platform.
In continuation of that effort, the leadership submitted a fresh application to register a new political party under the name Obedient Peoples Party (OPP). However, the application was again declined by INEC, which reportedly cited concerns relating to the party’s proposed logo and slogan.
Members of the movement viewed the decision as another setback to youth-driven political participation in Nigeria, arguing that young Nigerians continue to face institutional barriers in their efforts to actively participate in shaping the country’s democratic future. Despite the refusal, the movement insists it remains committed to democratic engagement, grassroots mobilization, political inclusion, and the pursuit of a New Nigeria built on accountability, justice, and people-oriented leadership.
