The RMAFC, and FAAC are meant to be autonomous of the President. They canvas and follow the slated constitution to distribute Federal revenue to all MDAs and agencies. This was a good design, but guess what, the operation has changed. Although, it's hard to prove and I give them credit for cleaning their records.

The FAAC is chaired by the Minister of Finance, I don't need to say much anymore.

The FAAC, and commissioners are appointed by The President. The Senate is suppose to screen them, but, again I don't need to say much.

All of them are singing "on your mandate", ",yes, Sir! Okay, Sir!" and waiting for instructions/approvals from the President or his Chief of Staff.

Now about Ekpa approaching the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR) located in Strasbourg, this is just a futile waste of time as the ECHR only entertains cases were a EU citizen files for breach of his human rights .

The ECHR is not setup to overrule criminal convictions by member states but to review a breach of human rights of EU citizens denied their rights to a fair hearing or convicted on self incriminating testimony and statements secured during the investigative stages that can be deemed as through torture.

Can Ekpa dare to claim his rights during the course of his arrest and trial were trampled upon and that the evidence in the form of his original statement to the Police used against him in court was gotten through torture ?


As I said, this case as is the norm in Finish legal system will not see to Ekpa's conviction overturned by the Appeal court and it's most likely to end at the Appeal court as the Finish Supreme court is notorious for turning down cases following a lost appeal. Only less than 5% criminal cases get to the Supreme court and this is where fresh evidence is provided to exonerate a convict.

The reason for this is that Finish judiciary system starting with the Police investigating, prosecutor's case filing and final lower court verdicts are so thorough and air tight that seeing to overturning of a conviction by an Appeal court is highly unlikely.

So this matter ends at the Finish Appeal court with Ekpa's conviction being upheld.

Lesson To Learn:
Tinubu is beatable. They thrive on propaganda, making you feel the election is won and no need coming out to vote.

Match them energy to energy. Mobilize and stand your ground, defend your votes. Follow the process all the way to the LG collation centers and scrutinize every result.

Osun people showed the perfect template. Didn’t we see threats and boasts from APC everywhere? What happened when Osun people stood their ground? They were outnumbered.

That’s what it takes to fight for democracy, else it will be destroyed right before your eyes.
