Not suprised cos in his 8 years as governor he was busy playing politics and did nothing . The crime rate was so high that many people, including Lebanese there were many ran away from Lagos. I ran away in 2001 after I saw one small boy they call akanni robbing houses and shooting people unchallenged until gani Adams formed OPC and calmed Lagos down by chasing away those criminals. OPC crucified Akanni on a cross in 2001 in mushin live before a jubilant crowd. When I came back to Lagos in 2011 I couldn’t believe my eyes at what fashola was able to achieve. He is infact the architect of the modern Lagos but tinubu kept fighting him with blackmail and legislators and refused to allow him work due of money in Lagos state purse but he continued. It beats my imagination how anyone would believe a man like tinubu can make Nigeria better in any way, knowing his antecedents

Petrol should never cost more than N70 per litre, says APC

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as mere tokenism the reduction of petrol price from N97 to N87 per litre, saying the petroleum product ordinarily should sell for N70.

On Sunday, the federal government announced the reduction of petrol price, citing the fall of global crude oil price.

But the APC through Lai Mohammed, its spokesman, on Monday accused the government of making a show out of deceit, saying “a 10.3 per cent slash in the price of petrol was a mere tokenism at a time the price of crude oil has crashed by about 60 per cent”.

It argued that the pump price of a litre of petrol should not be more than 70 Naira, alleging that at N87 per litre, the government was forcing Nigerians to subsidise the massive corruption in the oil sector by N17 for every litre of fuel.
