Are the civilians that bought the guns complaining that their right were trampled by the military? Did the military kill anybody? But do you remember how many people that were killed during last election because they don't want to vote for a particular candidate? Is this military intervention not better than Nigerians last general election? You're either a hypocrite or a mere fool fooling around. In either case I won't reply again.
Na disgruntled Obidients like yourself they push that notion o, because they hate the land of their birth because Tinubu won the general election, they now prefer to have been born in Republic du Niger.

Same Hypocrites that cursed their brother Rotimi Amaechi for building rail track from Kano to Niamey, now love Niger more than their fatherland, same Hypocrites that criticized President Buhari for dashing Niger Government bullet proof SUV’s Just before his departure from government, have now fallen in love with Niger?

Which country do you think Russia will want to side with ? What's the significance of Niger to the world....is as good as zero...Niger has been feeding on Nigeria for years...ey think Russia is that senseless to abandon bush meat like NIger for a dry crab like Niger...

It hasn't even started..... And mind you Algeria is involved, so also is Morocco..... They will never allow Russia interfer with their internal matters...... Just the way Russia can't tell Azerbaijan to stop supplying Europe gas..... Just as Russia can't tell Saudi to stop supplying EU or USA oil....you guys should learn to study before running wild with half baked information

You are not intouch with reality . The reason why Africans are running to visit putin is for food ..He has promised to give them free food and they are all happy . Whatever he does in African land is permitted inasmuch as putin gives africa food . Putin will soon relocate one nuclear weapon to niger to calm all this ecowas noise makers down . My only worry is that wager is like a terrorist group . .the moment they got into your system to remove them is not gonna be easy . Even putin that feeds them nearly suffer big blow .
Who would you rather support you Russia, or The USA & The EU?

Mind you The Federal Republic of Nigeria did not go for the Russia Africa Summit to beg for food.

The EU & United States have already said it categorically, that the attempted coup in Niger must fail, Ecowas has vowed to teach Niger Republic a lesson.

No rush, just keep watching this space.

A sovereign Nation like Niger republic has right to change a rouge leader through military intervention. According to military juntas the CSO is asking them to take orders from french armies on what to do with the terrorists they captured. This is an indication that he is not in charge of the security of his country and that alone is a ground for military intervention. The military is loyal only to their mother land and only take oders that are in conformity with that .
Who was the jury that tagged President Bazoum Government a rogue government?

Same Hypocrites that castigated President Buhari for dashing Niger Republic bullet proof SUVs, are the same Hypocrites supporting the military today?

The military that the civilians bought the weapons for to use to defend the sovereignty of their country, have now used those same weapons to attack its Oga?

Yet we have Simon Ekpa minded people supporting them?

Yeye talk, nobody is threatening the gas project, the issue is about uranium
What uranium? Kazakhstan a former soviet state is the number one producer of uranium in the world, Russia doesn’t need Niger’s poor level uranium.

It is greed from the over zealous coward military, civilians buy weapons for them, they use those same weapons to oppress the civilians.

Are you for real? You are fantastically stupid walahi. Why would I wish bad on my country, the decline that they gave as Nigeria's position when compared with South Africa and Morocco reflected the true state of things the purchasing power of the average Nigerian has declined and the GDP of the country has crashed. Companies are closing up GSK is ceasing Operations and MNOs are either recording slide in revenues and incomes or recording losses due to a poorly thought out subsidy removal and FX policies. So if you see a report that really shows the reality of your situation wouldn't you accept it and work to change it? But for you guys anyone that accepts a true report is an enemy of Nigeria.
You guys are the real enemy of Nigeria, you would rather the country goes up in flames that see anything wrong with what the preaidentmis doing because he is from your Tribe.

Oga noooooo it has nothing to do with subsidy. Three weeks back the same West predicted a decline in Nigeria's economy while predicting growth in South Africa and Morocco's economy, and guess what was used to predict the slide, it was subsidy, IMF criticised how the subsidy was removed and the fact that palliative will not achieve the desired cushioning effect. All of a suddennin the heat of the Niger crisis you are now giv8ng stable outlook and using the same reason upu criticised earlier. If you can not see rhe baiting going on then you are really blind walahi.

Is Nestle the only cocoa processing company? And why can't nestle open a chocolate factory in Ghana? Anyway, that's not the point. My point has always been consistent from the beginning. Ghana insisted that they'll no longer export raw cocoa to Europe because it's a colonial style trading system that's not beneficial to them - they want to start processing into finished products and this did not go down well with EU. Immediately this announcement was made, all the ratings agencies gave Ghana the lowest ratings in their platform and Ghana's economy nosedived in no time.

You're so ignorant. If you're informed, you'll know how Ghana was making some changes in the processing and refining of their resources especially their cocoa. Even their president mentioned it numerous times that they don't have any intention to keep on exporting raw cocoa as they're putting mechanism in place to start turning it into finished products which did not go well with the EU which is their major market.
Sharap, let them hold their cocoa, The Ivory Coast no 2 cocoa nation, and Nigeria no 3 cocoa nation, are waiting in the wings to take their market share in the international market.

It is with mouth you want to turn cocoa to finished product, they will force Nestle Switzerland to come & open factory in Accra, why did Nestle go & open a brand new facility in South Africa 2 weeks ago, and not Ghana?

You obviously don't know what's happening in Ghana. It's the opposite of what you said. Ghana insisted they'll no longer sell cocoa to the EU and that was the genesis of their problem.
Nonsense, it is quite obvious you don’t know what is happening in Ghana, or anything about basic economics.

Ghana will not sell cocoa to Nestle of Switzerland, then who will they sell their rotten cocoa to, after hoarding it?

Let them hold it, Cote d’Voire (2) & Nigeria (3) are on standby.

Sadly, the expected doubl8ng of the minimum wage will adversely affect the value of the Naira. There will be more Naira chasing dollars.
If only the state governments were not lazy, they should use their comparative advantages to export local commodities for foreign exchange, each state should target a billion dollars in export every year, removing significant burden from the center.

You haven't been listening to the news..lately

Ghana , right now, is about to take an IMF bailout. Things are hard there. And as a result they are following instructions from the IMF

The problem with Ghana , as with many African countries, is that their major source of income is cocoa, gold, and so forth. The problem with all these sources is that Ghana does not set the price. As a result, most of the time, the prices are low. Very low. Meaning that Ghana often times gets broke....and has to take loans. Then in the last 3 years, covid happened. Revenues fell so badly that Ghana is in deep trobule. Then there is the issue with rising prices and cost of living.

IMF is not wrecking Ghana's economy. Most of us in this continent think we can make a living by selling raw materials, instead of using the raw materials to make things the world needs.

Nigeria has discovered deposits of lithum. And we are refusing to use the thing to start a local battery industry that could make billions for our land. Instead we wan sell am, and we would earn far less...but no.
Intelligent lad, you are the real Nairalanda Numero Uno, you know your economics.

I know government runs a propaganda arm...but this is a report from Reuters. Reuters isn't controlled by APC, LP or PDP.

Also, international and local investors don't like subsides. There is a hard cold reason why S and P is raising Nigeria;s rating...subsidy removal. If Obi or Atiku was in charge and they removed subsides, the same thing would happen.

Even then, in my opinion, it is too early to shout 'Uhuru'. Let's wait another 2-3 years, if not longer. Tinubu hasn't even gotten his ministerial list together yet.
