The outcome of the recent FCT council elections is not accidental. It is a direct political response to visible governance. Whether one likes him or not, the results reflect the impact of Nyesom Wike’s administration in the Federal Capital Territory.

Roads are being constructed and rehabilitated. Sanitation enforcement has improved. Long-abandoned projects are receiving attention. Administrative control has become firmer. For many residents, governance in Abuja now feels more structured and deliberate. Elections are often emotional, but this one appears rooted in performance perception.

Politics must move from sentiments and tribal alignments to measurable delivery. Voters respond when they see physical evidence of leadership. The FCT results suggest that governance, not rhetoric, influenced public choice.

As 2027 approaches, one thing must be clear: no political ambition is worth bloodshed. Nigerians must refuse to kill, fight, or die for any politician. Democracy is about ballots, not bullets. Political maturity requires disagreement without violence.

Regarding Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the reality is straightforward. Many of his economic policies are harsh. Subsidy removal, exchange rate adjustments, and fiscal reforms have increased short-term hardship. However, structural reforms are rarely comfortable. The real judgment will come from long-term outcomes—economic stability, revenue growth, and institutional strengthening.

Supporters argue that Tinubu’s political structure, experience, and strategic depth make him one of the most formidable political actors on the continent today. His performance, not propaganda, will ultimately shape 2027.

Nigeria’s urgent challenges remain insecurity and the true independence of the three arms of government. Without safety and institutional balance, economic reform alone cannot stabilize the nation.

The path forward requires calm thinking. Support governance where it delivers. Criticize where necessary. Demand accountability. But reject violence.

If the FCT continues to witness structured development, support for Wike will grow. If national reforms begin to produce stability and measurable progress, support for Tinubu will consolidate.

Nigeria needs maturity, not chaos. Progress, not division. The next political cycle must be driven by performance and peace — nothing else.

The only thing the opposition now has to contest with next year's election is insecurity... The ebi pawa they were using as slogan last year is no longer applicable as the cost of food item has been going down since... inflation rate YOY is lower, exchange rate is going down.... more project progress reports are being shown everywhere, this one is not go and verify, instead there are video evidences.

Now that the Abuja council election has humbled them because Atiku and Obi staked their reputation for their candidates, and rightly so but the results were abysmal.

So, just watch what will start happening in the coming days. Insecurity, kidnapping, massacres, ambush, killings, attacks of religious houses, and sacking of whole villlages will likely be on the increase.

That is why I still suspect that majority of the insecurity in the country is fueled by these opposition, if not as major players then as enablers or at the very least supporters of insecurity, otherwise they would have nothing to contest the next election with.

You guys blame leaders for everything but you yourself refuse to change. The leaders you complain about are even better than you by far. Shey the people terrorising us fell from the sky ni Same Nigerians suffering the insecurity are still the ones propagating it. Everybody feels they can cheat others and engage in terrible crimes, but expect to still leave in sane society. Go to churches and see pure greed, corruption and tribalism in its purest form. You show nothing but hatred and disdain for your country, but sit down and expect leaders to do magic. Your leaders are nothing but a reflection of the people. If you want change, start with yourself. You can't be cheating in market, stealing church funds, discriminating against tribes, dumping refuse indiscriminately, violating traffic rules as you like....but U expect your leaders to be different Wake up!
