The person supplying me juveniles told me I won't need to sort, cos from that size the difference in their sizes will not be so much to the extent that they'll eat one another. How true is that?

Bros cool down,

There are two cadres of personnel in the military, the NN inclusive. Not only in Nigeria, but worldwide, namely: Commissioned Officers Cadre and the Non-Commissioned Officers Cadre.

Contrary to what you think, the Nigerian Navy does not recruit illiterate persons. The Nigerian navy is made-up of professionals from all fields of human endeavor, Doctors, Lawyers, Architects, Surveyors, Engineers, Pharmacists, Accountants (Chartered and Non-chartered), Statisticians, etc. Just name it? The Navy has it. But the ongoing recruitment is for the Non-commissioned Officers Cadre (Otherwise called Ratings Cadre) and only Non-graduates are allowed to apply.

Lastanza:
Why wouldn't dem display obnoxious tendencies wen dey are all I'll lettered personnel
Able bodied and willing informed minds are evrywhere looking for a place of engagement and dis pipl are looking for children to deprive dem of education. is dis not child Labour?

Why not recruite independent educated pipl dat would not go about harassing civilians in d name of being in a military uniform. A parastatal as big and sensitive as nevy is recruiting children at d expense of superior intelligence in d name of cutting cost. No wonder many of dem(both d military and d paramilitary) are always quick to display dia other side of human.
Employ graduates and pay dem dia commensurate salary and get d best from dem not all dis pennywise pound foolish economics.

I hope so too, cos if they fail to listen, they'll surely be caught and dismissed and even handed over to the Nigerian police for prosecution on charges of forgery, impersonation and other related offences. If you have a friend or relative in the Navy, ask what happened to some members of 16AK.

Candidates are therefore warned that it is an offence to declare false education/professional qualification. This attracts outright withdrawal or dismissal.

Business / How To Prevent Employee Fraud/ Theft: 22 Tips by Businesstools(m): 2:46pm On Dec 13, 2015
1. Ensure that no individual is responsible for processing a transaction from start to finish. E.g. The person who authorizes the issue of inventory should not be the storekeeper.

2. Restrict access to your company’s physical and financial assets, including financial records to authorized persons only.

3. Verify your assets (inventory, cash, equipments, etc) regularly to ensure that what is recorded in the books is actually on ground.

4. Before hiring, do a pre-employment background check on all prospective employees. Call their former employers and ask questions about their character and why they left.

5. Develop and implement policies to determine how financial transactions are initiated, authorized and reviewed.

6. Invite external auditors to review your business accounts, transactions, and procedures, at least once in a year.

7. Encourage your employees to report any incident of theft or fraud directly to you, and promise to reward them if they do.

8. Do not take any case of fraud lightly. Investigate properly and discipline defaulters to pass a message that you have zero tolerance for fraud.

9. Do not allow employees to visit the business premises after working hours. If you can afford it, install CCTV cameras in all high risk areas.

10. Fraud perpetrators usually display behavioral traits that can indicate intention to commit fraud. Observing your employees closely can help you identify potential fraud risk.

11. If you notice unexplained drop in sales, rotate the attendant. If sales improve, it could be a sign that fraud has been ongoing. Carry-out a thorough investigation.

12. An increase in sales when a key employee proceeds on leave could be a sign of fraud. For this reason, beware of any staff who doesn’t like going on vacation.

13. Monitor employees who appear to live beyond their income. Also, those into gambling & drugs. These are extravagant lifestyles & you can’t afford to be funding them.

14. Some employees use their employers’ business for their own personal business. For instance, they bring in their own stock, similar to their employers’ to sell. Watch out!

15. Report loss/ theft of your check books/ debit cards immediately. This will enable the bank block payments or other transactions on the missing card/ check numbers.

16. Respect and treat your employees well. If you do, only a person without conscience will steal from you or conceive evil against you or your business.

17. Set up an anonymous way for your employees to alert you of any concerns related to potential fraud within your company. Take these alerts seriously.

18. Avoid using multiple bank accounts for your business. It makes it difficult for you to detect inappropriate movement of funds.

19. When your accountant insists on handling tasks that other departments or individual is responsible for e.g. purchasing, it could be a sign of fraud.

20. If your accountant continually misplace or misfile important documents, e.g. payroll records, deposit records, receipts etc., it could be an indication of fraud.

21. If deposits are frequently lower than expected. You should compare sales receipts with amounts deposited into the bank account and query any differences.

22. Be on alert if your accountant continuously looks for excuses why not to follow the company’s established accounting or administrative procedures.

“Sir, can we all become entrepreneurs? And if not, what advice do you have for those of us who look forward to being gainfully employed?”

A young man delivered a dazzling lectures at NYSC Orientation Camp Nkewere LGA of Imo State that changed and determined my passion in life.

He titled the talk “The Jobs Are No More, So Think Entrepreneurship!” I thought, what a great Topic… so I had a tough time battling with rushing thoughts during his ‘sweet’ presentation and at the end I was opportune to ask a question.

I asked, “Sir, can we all become entrepreneurs? And if not, what advice do you have for those of us who look forward to being gainfully employed?”

Unfortunately, he never answered the question. He instead passed a cruel remark on me

He relied “…only lazy people think that way”.

I also wish he never answered me that way because he was booed off the stage and literally ‘Control Z’ all the nice impression he had made.

After my NYSC in 2011, I embarked on a JOB SEARCH ADVENTURE - Took about 26 interviews in 3 years! Changed Job 4 times between 2011& 2013, Completed a Masters Degree in Personnel Psychology...all in the bid to answer my own Questions & Help you with the same!

I Presently work as a Administrative Officer (HR) @ Federal University Oye-Ekiti. Having sat on a couple of interview panels, I have compiled those daunting questions that I have heard or asked at panels. This E-book addresses a portion of my June-2010-unanswered-question.
