If you're a catfish farmer like myself, you should know that catfish farming is no longer as profitable as it used to be, no thanks to the dollar scarcity. Just 5 months back, I bought Coppens 2mm for N6,500 per bag. Today, the same bag sells for N8,500 (That is if at all you see it to buy). During my last harvest, after deducting all expenses, there was nothing left as profit, this gave me a new business idea. Instead of selling to the bulk buyers at N550 per kg, why not open a sales outlet, employ somebody to sell for me and pay the person 10k monthly. And that was exactly what I did. If I were to sell in bulk, I'll be selling a 1Kg catfish at N550, but at my sales outlet I sell it for at least N850. Difference of N300. Now I have only one outlet and this outlets generates sales of between 7k - 10k daily, and profit of about 2k to 3k. You can imagine what I'll be making if I had like 10 sales outlet? Though with that my stock won't be able to meet the demand. That means I'll have to buy from other fish farmers at N550 or N600 per kg and sell at my outlets. Presently, I do not have a very huge capital to execute such a massive project. If you reside in Delta State or have a trusted friend or relatives staying there, please partner with me in launching FishMoney Enterprises (Dealers in Live Catfish). My mobile line is 07030949450. Note: Your money is important, but what is more important is your availability. Sometimes my sales girl calls me at odd times that she has run out of stuck, and there's a customer waiting to but like 10 pieces. I'll have to rush down to the farm to get stocks. So it can be quite challenging too. |

MizTyna:Thanks for getting in touch. My farm is located in Delta State. The most effective method for getting the words out about this product is word of mouth advertising. That's one aspect I find very difficult. I may not be buoyant enough to hire someone for that purpose. Secondly, the person will not put in his/her best, since he or she does not have much at stake. In other words, I need the funding, but what is more important is the marketing expertise. |
My name is Patrick (Surname Withheld). I am a graduate of accounting. I am also a catfish farmer. Enough of the intro. I need a partner to join me in establishing a fish feed business. As you may already know, in the last few months, the cost of foreign feed has risen from less than N6,500 to over N8,500 (That is if at all you see it to buy, as forex is no longer available to import them). The price of local feed has also risen from about N4,500 to N5,500. The consequence of this is that the cheapest feed (already formulated) you can find in the market sells for N366 per kg. I have discovered a cheaper feed formulation. Much cheaper than our local feed and gives better results. I have tried it on my farm and the result was awesome. If you'll like to join me on this, kindly indicate your interest on this thread and how I can reach you. This idea does not require a lot of money but solid marketing expertise. So if you have a little fund to spare (Less than 150k) and have great marketing skills, then you have what it takes to join. I'll be waiting for your comments. Note: Serious persons only. |

It's very possible to earn 800k per month from a business. It is also very possible to lose all your capital trying to earn the 800k. The only sure way is to divide your capital into about 10 equal parts and use each parts to start a business that will earn you about 100k. I hope I'm communicating? |

Kindly call 07030949450 if you're interested. I don't like talking too much, so I'm going to provide a little detail here on the job description. 1. The selected candidate will surf the internet looking for genuine job openings and will post at least 5 job openings on the portal daily. 2. The selected candidate will visit popular Nigerian forums including Nairaland and post same job openings with a link back to my job portal. That's all. Best of luck. |

I'm interested in the fish meal. How much is it, and how many kg is the bag? |
I am a chronic stammerer and I can take proper charge in parades. I happen to be one of the bests among my course-mates. MrFairplay4ume: |
Yes, a stammerer can become a soldier in Nigeria (I don't know of other countries). Once you can control your stammering and scale through the recruitment process, you are good to go. I'm a retired military man and I stammer, but sometimes I'm able to control it such that people wouldn't detect. The key to effectively controlling your stammering is to manage your temper, especially anger. If you let anger overcome you, it may take you twenty minutes to call Lagos. Example: Le Le Le Le Le Le Le Le Le Le Le Le gos. Stammering na bad thing o. afoobiggy700: |
I'm aware that using Coppens through-out will not give me any profit. So I intend to switch to local after 2 months. fzero: |
Please house, I am a first timer in fish farming. I have been making use of Coppens. And so far, my fish have been doing great. I bought some local feeds on this thread (Name withheld), but I'm scared of administering it to my fish. I don't want to tell stories that touch. The neutral persons (4 of them in number) that have used this same feed told me emphatically that they did not observe any impact on their fish as claimed by the producers, marketers and promoters of the said feed. The only persons who have told me good stories about this feed are the distributors, and you know their opinions cannot be unbiased. Is there anyone who has bought and used any of the local feeds advertised on this thread, please come and share your experiences with us. Neutral persons please. |
Thanks for bringing it to our notice. stonedigital: |
I heard some farmers produce fish feed with broiler starter and plenty of soya beans. They say it's cheaper and not different from the ready-made feed in terms of result. It it true? Secondly, how do they do it? |
Please house, where can I get cupeid (Local fish meal) to buy at low price? Thanks |
Rest in Peace Soldier. |
Why being secretive about the price? goonsmi: |
@ Robonski15: I have been trying to get your Gelatin feed, but all the distributors within my location (Abraka, Delta State) do not have the pelleted one. How can I order directly? Secondly, please change to contact on the Gelatin Ad to the one you guys pick. I have called the line, 09054672750 more than twenty times without any one answering or returning my calls. Robonski15 |
