Hello all.... Pls pardon any of my grammatical blunders. I 'm about 31, i hoped to find love before or during nysc, but unfortunately i could'nt. Now i have monthly sources of income and i want settle down. I met a lady this year, she is in her final year in university. But we are not living in the same state but i do call her atleast every 3days and anytime i did'nt call, she use to called or flashed me. We got attached to each other very well that we confined in each other. (each time i called her we spent close to 1hr) on phone. Of which i was happy that i have found my missing rib, not until out of my benevolence i decided to foot her academics expenss like project and others. She now ask me, if i am doing it base on mere friendship or i want to date her. When i said i want to date her, she now told me, she has a boyfriend. But nevertheless she likes me, that we can still continue as friend. For i don't know what tomorrow may hold for us. My people i need ur kindid opinion here, if she is into a serious relationship why would she be having all this talks with me, That made me so emotionally attached to her? mind you, 1st of this month was her birthday, which i ask her if she want it to be celebrated but she say no. Although i gave her 5k over two weekend ago but highly appreciated by her. Pls advice me am i wasting my time with her.

The Vice President-General of Jamaatu Nasril Islam, (JNI), Alhaji Abubakar Orlu said that Rivers State government suspended the state Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board because of fraudulent activities and the unsatisfactory manner the board was being run.

Alhaji Orlu in a press statement issued in Port Harcourt yesterday also said that the state government did not demolish a completed Mosque building in the state.

He alleged that some fraudulent persons had in the past hijacked hajj seats in Rivers State to other states given credence to why the state government suspended activities of Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.

On the alleged demolition of a Mosque, Alhaji Orlu said that some people wanted to use the issue to stoke the embers of disunity among Christians and Muslims and tarnish the image of Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike.

There is an immediate suspension of all South African film entries at the 16th Abuja International Film Festival scheduled for October 22 to 25, 2019.

In a statement released by the organisers, the International Film Festival as a body condemns unequivocally the reoccurring xenophobic attacks against African migrants, including Nigerians in South Africa. “On behalf of the management and organisers of the 16th Abuja International, we wish to announce the immediate suspension of all South African Film Entries submitted for the 16th Abuja International Film Festival scheduled for 22nd to 25th October, 2019.

“We as an International Film Festival condemn unequivocally the reoccurring xenophobic attacks against African migrants, including Nigerians in South Africa.We have observed the global outcry, especially by Nigerians all over the world who have called on their compatriots to boycott South African products and services in Nigeria in retaliation of the violence against their countrymen in South Africa.”

“However, we have taken this painful and avoidable decision to suspend entries submitted by filmmakers from South Africa until further notice. We therefore strongly condemn hate, prejudice and xenophobia actions of some South African nationals and reiterate our unequivocal condemnation of all violence in any form.”



“The Film Festival is a platform that was created to promote mutual harmony, respect for the dignity of life. We will continue to advocate for a society where everyone’s rights and freedoms are respected. The right to live and earn a living, freely, safely and protected by the law.

“We therefore as a matter of necessity call on the South African government to address the issue of xenophobic attacks with utmost seriousness where the perpetrators are brought to book.”

The plan by the Air Peace Airline to evacuate Nigerians in South Africa from Sept. 6 suffered a setback as majority of those interested in the process have expired passports.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the airline with the support of the Federal Government had scheduled to begin evacuating Nigerians from South Africa on Sept. 6.

This was sequel to the ongoing xenophobic attacks against Nigerians and other foreign nationals living in that country.

Mr Allen Onyema, the Chairman of Air Peace, said in a statement in Lagos on Friday that the most of the potential returnees were yet to renew their documents.

Onyema said the airline had already placed its Boeing 777 aircraft on standby and was only awaiting the go-ahead from the government.

“The Air Peace flight to South Africa will take off from the Lagos Airport and also return to Lagos. As earlier stated, the take off could be Sept 9 or Sept 10.

“This is because the Nigerians in South Africa have to obtain travel certificates because many of them do not have travel documents and their passports have expired.

“Air Peace has placed its aircraft, Boeing 777 for the flight since Sept. 3, but the Nigerian High Commission needed time to register the Nigerians billed to travel.

And, they are already doing that in Johannesburg and Pretoria.”

Onyema described the attacks against Nigerians and other Africans in South Africa as unfortunate, especially with the alleged tacit support being given to the perpetrators by the authorities.

He advised Nigerians without legal documents in South Africa to take advantage of the evacuation flight to return to the country.

NAN reports that the Federal Government has pulled out of World Economic Summit holding in Cape Town and also proposed recall of its Ambassador to South Africa, Ambassador Kabiru Bala

The government had also issued travel advice to Nigerians intending to visit South Africa due to the xenophobic attacks.
