Can we please bring the focus back to this guys as this back and forth jibe aint productive in any way shape or form...
I don't see anything stopping you from still posting, do you huh undecided Two-faced lot, one minute they call for suggestion, next they call it a jibe, one minute they hi5 someone to her face for creating a splendid Team/group, next they say who sent her message :-/
HealthRe: RIP DJDOLA- We Will Miss You by Busybody2(f): 1:45pm On Dec 17, 2014
walexyll:
No one is against you being critical of the hospital(infact members of TEHN were not to comfortable with the number of tests he was initially asked to take). The issue is your manner of approach....soo unprofessional!
So again asking the Accountant of a professional organisation to liaise with the Hospital's finance department to fine-tune the bills they are issuing is unprofessional, wow!

Excuse me pass...its a free world, so it's Tehn's prerogative to take umbrage and choose to act butthurt instead of doing the needful...all join...its indeed a free world.
HealthRe: RIP DJDOLA- We Will Miss You by Busybody2(f):
Jarus:
And even after Jaybee, the TEHN spokesperson, has replied you, you still went ahead to call TEHN jazzed and all that. Is that polite in your book? Is that how to ask questions?
I asked my "original" question in a professional capacity, Jaybee responded to something else. You yourself responded totally off-tangent. So what option did y'all leave me with? And mind you I wasn't the first to ask this. Anyway, now with your personal sly digs at me in your previous posts, I can now clearly see that your own response was deliberate and premeditated...so keep going personal, keep it up since this is polite in your own book.

Liver disease and retroviral disease ruled out, YET hospital's next call is referral to Gastroenterologist for Liver Biopsy...Cytology test, CT SCAN, Colonoscopy was indicative of a mass on the colon, YET again hospital's next call is treating for TB, wow...

And they are criticising me for criticising the hospital, Egbani elaja??
HealthRe: RIP DJDOLA- We Will Miss You by Busybody2(f): 1:13pm On Dec 17, 2014
walexyll:
I seriously take exception to comment like this. It is very easy for you to sit out and roll out criticism. From experience, being on the field is a lot different from you just sitting at a corner to analyse situations. In my own opinion, you can only make an accurate judgement when you are part of the field team. trust me!
So according to you, it is a crime to criticise a thieving hospital and everyone should wait an extra 8 weeks for the diagnosis they have been aware of since 19gbogboro abi. Ok noted.
HealthRe: RIP DJDOLA- We Will Miss You by Busybody2(f): 12:58pm On Dec 17, 2014
Jarus:
Yes, it is about DJ and you cannot be more concerned about him than me. I have been with him, at the hospital bed. I was so emotional that I shed tears. Yes, that does not matter, and is even trivial. But you need to know that you're not more concerned about him than anyone else.

Be specific about your request and advice. I cannot take being called name in the name of doing volunteer work.
1) Get over yourself, this is not about you. Tehn presented a bill showing an amount was charged for liver biopsy when the same TEHN provided 2 updates earlier stating a biopsy was not required. All this genuine query needs "professionally" is a simple clarification from Tehn's Accountant stating the true state of things not this back and forth parambulating from you, so carry your self-aggrandisement outta my face.

2) Again 3 out of the 4 underlying aetiology of the malignant ascites has been tested for and eliminated as far back as 3 weeks ago by this same hospital...four minus three =?? Is it benign?? What grade/stage is it??...So my input here about the mounting escalating cost, without a diagnosis that is as plain as the nose on your face, is justified...So Mr Jarus, is it a crime for me to ask, since the Hospital "knowingly" refuses to talk about this that they have known all these weekshuh
HealthRe: RIP DJDOLA- We Will Miss You by Busybody2(f): 11:29am On Dec 17, 2014
Jarus:
Busybody, I take very strong exception to your comments, which are at best uncharitable, if not mischievous.

From erroneously, or perhaps deliberately, miscalculating monies, to calling TEHN jazzed.

Apart from the voluntary efforts, TEHN also have a stake in this, after all, some of our members also donated anonymously, in addition to the efforts.

We are open to corrections and suggestions for improvements, but it doesn't speak well of anyone to dismiss one's efforts as you have been doing here. You only fell short of accusing TEHN of stealing your money.

Approach matters. Babyosisi and one other medical person from NL here have been working with us at the background, comparing notes with the hospital, and giving us advice, that is the way it should. Not coming here to rubbish one's efforts.

When a hospital calls for test that has not been done before, what do you expect us to do? Reject it? Yes, we have expressed our displeasure that we are unhappy the diagnosis is taking too long. But there is little we can do; if our goal is to see DJ well, then we cannot afford to be given any excuse that's it's because you didn't pay for X test, for Y scan.

We are open to working with you if you think you know better.
What are you jubilating for? What shite are you chatting this morning?

Four potential END STAGE diagnosis, 3 ruled out weeks ago...meaning the elephant in the room is being ignored...and you are trying to muffle me? Berra park well Mr Jarus cool And take note, this is "still" about DJDOLA, not anyone else dammit!!!
HealthRe: RIP DJDOLA- We Will Miss You by Busybody2(f): 9:19am On Dec 17, 2014
jaybee3:
This isn't really helping anyone and it's somewhat counterproductive.
You don't expect us to be more concerned about money demanded when it was blatantly obvious he was still pretty much frail at the time the tests was being demanded.

You are also aware that the two previous hospitals didn't do any test nor provide any definitive diagnosis as required.
We have already openly shared our concerns
and assured everyone that we will address them to the best of our abilities.

Our priority remains him getting a clean bill of health
Yeah I read the "urgent" concerns y'all just remembered to share on here 3 days ago...

Okay oh, according to you Jaybee3, the numerous blood tests and ultrasound test conducted at both Luth/Eruwa which picked up a mass/tumour/lump, with the further CT scan/tumour markers tests ordered by Luth were no tests at all and just a stab in the dark abi...Ok muffle me, and let Nairaland/Tehn keep pretending or is it keep being deluded that it is a needle in a haystack this good samaritan Hospital are helping y'all look for...

If LUTH/Eruwa could narrow the diagnosis down within days...

Dang!!! Jeez!!! The Hospital got a confirmed diagnosis over three weeks ago and this is why they have been adding an extra zero to the bill since this same period to fleece Nairaland/TEHN... sad

Kk, A'boki time for you to get busy...please go abokiland go procure the strongest antidote your hands can find to release Nairaland/TEHN from this jazz the hospital used to hold them since...we go discuss figures later yeah...

We are also concerned about the amount of tests that he is being subjected to and you can be rest assured we are taking positive tests to address the concerns.
"That" was just a slight digression in response to your post to let you know I am in the loop...My posts so far is "solely" centred on the escalating hospital charges that has spiralled out of control"...Come this Friday, another bill would be issued "plus" N56,000 added for food/accommodation/nursing, taking the total spent on just food & board to N280,000 for 35 days (5 weeks)...and still no diagnosis?!

If I had any inkling about all these numerous tests lined up for him, y'all know I would have hollered NO WAY JOSE "from" the get go, so be rest assured I ain't calling for the stable door to be shut "after" the horse has bolted. That boat sailed a long time ago.

The Tapping and Albumin iv test was done at a different hospital as shown in the receipt. The index hospital initially requested he undergo some tests at the second hospital but they had to do other additional exploratory tests after discovery of some anomalies in their initial test.
That is a slip of the finger. I meant to type N120,000k.

From the updates, I am cognizant of the visit to the Surulere Hospital plus the 1001 tests Mr DJDOLA was subjected to at both hospitals. Thanks all the same Sir.

Jarus:
I am still one of the two TEHN accountants.
Details of the receipts and expenditures are reported on this thread.
The Dec 4th comment is the last update on Receipt and Dec 9th the last on Expenditure.
Kk good to know I was addressing the correct person.

Now what I said again was that according to updates from the hospital on this thread on December 3rd and 7th, they said a liver biopsy is no longer needed, BUT the hospital has wrongly charged Mr DJDOLA N125,000 for this (according to the receipt updated), so TEHN's Account department needs to get in touch with the Hospital's finance department to correct this.

Thanks.

Jarus:
I don't get this.
Do you care to expatiate on the needful you require Accountant Jarus to do? Be specific please.
That was an invitation to TEHN'S "current" Treasurer/Accountant to adjust the total balance, to reflect the updates provided by them dated Dec 3rd/Dec 7th.

Apologies for thinking "Jarus" was still one of the two Accountants on board the organisation TEHN...Hope this has been simplified enough Sir?

@Miss Annibro
Hmmm, I opted out when I started fainting at the sight/smell of blood, plus I hate the feel/texture of cotton wools...just like I have been fainting since I set eyes on this hospital bill...this in a country where the minimum wage is N8,500 and everyone knows the billions of naira politicians are paid...
HealthRe: RIP DJDOLA- We Will Miss You by Busybody2(f): 10:40am On Dec 15, 2014
**According to updates dated Dec 3rd, physical examination and bloodwork for liver was okay, and according to the update on Dec 7th, the mass being investigated is on the Colon, hence liver biopsy not needed/called off. Accountant Jarus please do the needful.

**Interesting to note that the hospital charged an eye-watering exorbitant N224,000 for 28 days (4weeks) stay for food and board and nursing

**Going with the total figure so far, this means the hospital has charged N560k for tests...which LUTH only needed N50k for...hmmm, which way Nigeria??

Lord Jesus we beseech you to take the wheel again...

davidylan:
First love blues...

I was 15, I had never experienced the sensation of “love” before, although one could argue this was more infatuation than love really. But I knew that each time I saw this particular girl, my heart would beat faster, I was often tongue-tied, unusually shy around her. She was in boarding school while I was a day student so I had to steal as much time after school to be with her. Oddly enough, we spent most of those precious 2 hours just sitting and staring at each other, exchanging a few words here and there but you could literally cut the tension with a knife. I would spend hours at night just thinking about her, her slim figure, soft hair, large brown eyes and that laugh…

She was the gentlest girl I’d ever met. Cute, neat, tall, humble to a fault and beautiful. I hated taking direct dictation in class, preferring instead to doodle or scribble my own thoughts of the subject. She would faithfully pick up my notes after class and spend hours copying every single note I had missed (which was usually most). No one told me about love anyway… but I knew deep down that I felt something for this girl that I had never experienced before and could not articulate. Feb 14, 1998 was the first time I had ever bought a valentines card… I gave it to her, well no I sent her brother to give it to her. That day was a Saturday so I spent the rest of the weekend wondering if she was busy laughing at my naivety. On Monday, her brother walked over to my class and dumped a large white envelope on my desk… it was a valentines card! Tucked between the card was a 2 page letter covered with her distinct small but neat handwriting…

I kept that letter for 6 years, making sure to take it with me when we moved houses twice. I left high school 6 months later, I was excited to start college but also sad to leave my tall babygirl behind. She cried a lot in the last few weeks we were together. I guess she knew it was likely going to be the end of what turned out to be our first mutual experience at the game of hearts. We wrote each other for about a year after that (my dad got used to picking out the letters in his mail box)… almost every 2 weeks. Her letters coming in the same famous brown parchment with her tiny notes and heart doodles… never less than 4-6 pages in length. I told her about life outside high school, my computer lessons, she told me about school and the boys now trying to chase her because I was gone. We spoke on phone too… often at first then in fits and starts. We lost contact by my second year in college and I was not to see or speak with her again for the next 5 years.

Today we’re very good friends again… she’s happily married now with 2 boys… and I could not be happier for her. Although we were never ultimately meant to be together, but she taught me two things I have never forgotten… it is possible to truly love a woman and when a woman truly loves you, she will do absolutely anything, and I mean move-the-world kind of anything to be with you.
