Yes. I think so. They should interrogate the farmer. Although it's wrong to carry out such act but he can't killed the cows for no reason
phobia2002:
Police statement is just an account of the herdman, Can you allow the farmer to say his own side of the story. I believe he only poisoned his cassava leaves and cow went there as usual not that he gave cattle to eat

Nairaland GeneralRe: Help!! Is My Inverter Running Normally At This Capacity? (PHOTOS) by buzmanjohn(m): 6:15pm On Dec 09, 2024
Ask for refund immediately grin. I have bought the similar solar product from the same brand. Their products are not up to standard shocked
Drella:
So I bought a Cafini inverter that can be charged with solar panels and also AC power. It has radio, led light and 12V 5W bulbs(4 bulbs)
The panel is 18V 30W(1 panel).
The inverter output is 220V 150W.
The battery capacity is 12V 12AH Lead-acid battery.

I started using it by plugging my laptop(65W) to it. Within 40 minutes, it ran down from 100 to 0.
I unplugged the laptop and plugged my power bank to it. I also plugged one of its bulbs to it. It finally died after a little over 2hrs of it being on 0.

I charged it with AC power and plugged my OX fan(95W) to it alone. The fan was struggling on level 1 and was making sound, I had to disconnect it.

The seller said that’s the capacity of the battery and it is normal. If I wan’t it to last a longer duration, I should buy a external battery of a higher capacity.

Please with what I observed, is the draining normal? The battery percentage was draining by just switching on the inverter and not plugging anything to it.

PoliticsHow My South African Partner Duped Me Of $3.5m In Kenya — Murray-Bruce by buzmanjohn(op):
The founder of the Silverbird Group, Ben Murray-Bruce, has narrated how his South African partner defrauded him of $3.5 million on the purchase of a cinema complex in Kenya.

Though he did not mention his partner’s name, he recalled that by making a bank transfer of the said sum, the South African registered the business in his name.

The former Senator representing Bayelsa East Senatorial District stated this during the fourth edition of the Peace Anyiam-Osigwe Nigeria Digital Content Regulation Conference, held in Victoria Island, Lagos State, on Thursday.

He said, “I was called to buy a cinema complex in Kenya for $3.5 million. I transferred the money and my South African partner registered it in his name. That was how I lost that huge investment.

“I have a studio in Los Angeles and I am battling with litigation with one of the most prominent actors in Hollywood.”

The media business mogul expressed his interest in movie production, adding that while he’s currently working on a movie script, the movie would address fundamental issues in society.

He stressed the significance of promoting creativity as he recalled that some time ago, while he went to the Ajegunle part of Lagos, he saw some kids fighting.

Murray-Bruce noted that the kids — “future leaders” were “learning how to be tough. But some people see them as crooks. Leaders of entertainment in the US today were born in their Ajegunle.

“The entertainment industry is a very successful one. In all the things I have done, I have never made one move about movie making but now, I will. I am working on a script and I know we will get it right. We will deal with fundamental issues.”

The death of Anyiam-Osigwe, a prominent Nigerian filmmaker and founder of the African Movie Academy Awards, was announced on January 10, 2023.

The former lawmaker also paid tribute to the late Anyiam-Osigwe, recalling how she used to visit him in his house on her bicycle.

“Peace came to my house one day and asked me why I abandoned entertainment and became a politician. I have known her since she was six years old. She used to come to our house on her bicycle. Her brothers also used to come riding theirs,” he said.

PoliticsNJC Recommends Two Judges For Compulsory Retirement, Suspends Two Others by buzmanjohn(op): 2:03pm On Nov 15, 2024
The National Judicial Council under the Chairmanship of the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, has recommended two Heads of Court for compulsory retirement over judicial misconduct.

The council, at its 107th meeting held November 13 and 14, 2024, recommended the duo of the Chief Judge of Imo State, Justice T. E. Chukwuemeka Chikeka and the Grand Kadi of Yobe State, Kadi Babagana Mahdi, for compulsory retirement for falsification of age.

This was disclosed in a statement signed by the council’s Deputy Director of Information, Kemi Babalola-Ogedengbe, on Friday in Abuja.

According to the statement, the council found that Kadi had three different dates of birth (December 10, January 28 and July) all in 1959, while his actual date of birth was 1952.

The findings of the council also revealed that Justice Chikeka has two different dates of birth: October 27, 1956 and October, 27 1958.

“However, 27 October 1956 appeared to be the consistent date of birth, but in 2006, the Chief Judge swore to an affidavit changing the date of birth to 27 October 1958,” the statement read.

The council also suspended two judicial officers from office for one year without pay and placed them on “Watch-List” for two years.

Specifically, the council suspended Justice G. C. Aguma of the High Court of Rivers State from performing judicial functions for one year without pay and also placed him on a “Watch-List” for two years thereafter.

Likewise, Justice A. O. Nwabunike of Anambra State High Court was suspended from performing judicial functions for one year without pay and placed on “Watch-List” for two years thereafter.

The statement disclosed that the council considered the report of its Preliminary Complaints Assessment Committee, which considered a total number of 30 petitions, and empanelled six committees for further investigation, while 22 were dismissed for lacking in merit, two were sub judice.

The statement read, “The Council also empanelled a committee to investigate all complaints and petitions against Hon. Justice O. A. Ojo, Chief Judge, Osun State.

“The council also empanelled a Committee to investigate all complaints and petitions against Hon. Justice O. A. Ojo, Chief Judge, Osun State.

“The council’s findings revealed that Justice G. C. Aguma committed acts of misconduct by aiding a litigant who obtained a judgment at the FCT High Court, Abuja, and filed a garnishee against judgement debtors in Bori Division of the High Court, Rivers State.

“The council finds that Justice Aguma failed to raise any query as to why the garnishee proceedings were brought to his Court in Bori for a money judgment that could effectively be enforced in Abuja.

“That the judgment was delivered on 15 July 2020, at the High Court of the FCT, while the certificate of judgment was registered at the Bori Division of the High Court of Rivers State on 16 July 2020.

“The council further finds that the speed with which the Hon. Justice Aguma took and granted the order absolute against the judgment debtors showed that he had an interest, especially as he failed to take into consideration the stay of execution of the judgment granted in favour of the judgement debtors by the Bwari High Court, which had been brought to his attention.”

On his part, the council found Justice Nwabunike of Anambra State to have breached the provision of Rule 3.1 of the Revised Code of Conduct for Judicial Officers of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 2016.

“He also failed to adhere to the principle of stare decisis from his different interpretation of the word “aspirant” and abused his judicial powers by granting ex parte orders without a Motion on Notice filed along with the Originating Summons,” the statement read.

Idye:
I actually do not know where to post this. But I believe I can get the needed traffic and advice here.

Yesterday I read with Sadness, tears and pains about the gruesome murder of a security man by two dogs. Up till this moment, I haven't been myself due to the experiences I've had and the psychological impact of the death of that security guard.

Here is a Brief Experience.

The house I live has no borehole or any source of water. I and other immediate neighbors who occupy same building would go to our neighbors houses to fetch water everyday.
There are three neighbors who have boreholes, say Neighbor A, B and C.
Neighbor A only allows others to fetch water on Saturdays and Wednesdays. Aside these days you won't get water. You can't even go into her compound. She has a tap outside her building where we fetch whenever she puts it ON. On these two days, there must be Power(NEPA light). If there's no power, forget it.

Neighbor B is a pastor who has His church in his Residential Building. If u must enjoy fetching water here, u must be a member of his church, else you won't be given water when there's no light. Anyone can be allowed to fetch if and when there's light, but as soon as light goes off, don't go there except you are a member.

Neighbor C has two heavy dogs(Rottweilers). This is the house I fetch most, cos of my cordial relationship with the owners of the house. When these dogs were brought home, they were just puppies and I was familiar with them, but as they grew older, they became extremely violent. One is Smart, the other is Bella. Bella is female while Smart is Male. Bella is so aggressive. She torments anyone who enters the compound. Neighbors don't go in. Despite the fact that they are caged, they sometimes break out and attack when they hear a stranger's voice in the compound. There was a day these dragons broke out of the cage and before I could realize it, that had come close to me. I had to make a very fast decision, If I had ran to escape through the Gates, they would catch up with me. Thank God, the Tap is very close to the fence of the building. A very tall fence like that of Prison's fence. I had to jump over, even as I was jumping, they almost caught up with my legs. I didn't land properly so I had a dislocation and sustained some bruises.
On a second encounter, they broke out and attacked. I had to climb the overhead water tank to hang in there.
The last one was when I went to fetch water while I was putting on a towel. They attacked again, and I jumped the fence. The towel pulled off my waist and I was naked. I had to quickly run into the room of a neighbor whose house is closer to the fence to cover myself. I felt so embarrassed.
These dogs had already bitten off the penis of a 12 year old boy.
Any cock or hen that innocently strolls into that compound is a goner. The dogs attack the fowl, kill it and eat it. They even jump at a flying Bird and catch, kill and eat.

The dogs almost ate a baby of almost two years if not for the timely intervention of someone. I was told that some dog owners give their dogs ogogoro and weed to take so they can be harsh.
We all must be careful when visiting houses with Dogs. Please.
Thanks for reading.
