What judges look for in literary competitions.

In my own little way, i try to encourage my peeps. pls keep the ball rolling. great dreams are always tough at the beginning, it is like a mother in labour. but after delivery, the pain is forgotten. let bad minds run their mouth, enemy is a must if we must blow.
this anthem poem is just trying to tell us that '' yes we can'' no matter the situation of our country or continent.

THE NAIJA'S YOUNG WRITERS' CLUB
YES WE CAN

Together we shall climb
the stairs of greatness
and ply the rough route to success.
Together we shall restor the dignity
Of the young african writer.
Together we shall sail through,
where it seems the tides are rose.
With N.YW.C as our boat
and unity as our oars.
Yes we can,
We can go a lot further together,
than one could go.

Together we shall make a road,
where there seems to be no path.
Together we shall make a house,
where there seems to be no room.
Together we shall make a stay,
where there seems to be no chance.
Yes we can,
we can go a lot further together,
than one could go.

Together we shall resurrect the greatness,
buried in the tomb of mediocrity.
Together we shall tread the greatness' path
and leave behind; a generational impact.
Together we shall soar higher,
where it seems the storm is raged.
Yes we can,
We can go alot further together,
than one could go.

Together we shall outshine,
where there seems to be no light.
Together we shall open gates,
where there seems to be no door.
Together we shall fly high like eagles,
where there seems to be chicken' ego.
Together we shall multiply,
where there seems to be no addition.
Yes we can,
we can go a lot further together,
than one could go.

With love in our mist.
With unity as our bound.
With greatness as our aim.
With inspiration in our head.
With message in our mind.
With burden in our heart.
With faith on our talent.
With focus in our sense,
We can achieve our goals.
Yes we can,
we can go a lot further together,
than one could go.

With our message to the world,
We shall tell the ethnocentric
that this is not "a time to kill."
With our books in time;
we shall tell that this is not,
"a tale of three tribes."
With the pages of our writing,
We shall gather the "the things fallen apart"
and leave footprints "on the sand of time."
Yes we can,
We can go a lot further together,
than one could go,
