Humraaaaz:

Buy 9000€, Be very careful wen funding with dom account especially first bank's dom account.... First note that theres bank charge and also intermediary bank charge (which is about 40€ per transfer irrespective of the amount)......

In some banks the intermediary bank charge can be set in a way that the sender pays, So u will need to put that into consideration.

If the bank sets it in a way that the receiver pays the 40€, they will debit the 40€ from your fintiba account instead of your Nigerian dom account. for example, If your decide to transfer 8829€ to your account under this option, it means only about 8789€ will get to ur fintiba account. This means no blocking confirmation cos its below minimun amount for blocking. Also will have to pay again to top it up meaning additional 40€ + Nigerian bank charge

Thank you so much.
How about the other part of the question.

what if i buy 9000, and about 100 euros remain in my dom acct after the transaction, can the bank give it to me cash?
If they wont give me, why not i buy 8,900 euros so that there will be remaining small cash after the transaction.

also how many euros (minimum) do i need to have in cash wen i land in germany b4 i hv access to my fintiba funds?

Good evening

I went to GTB to transfer naira equivalent to fund my finitiba.
They said it can't go. That I have to open euro dom account and fund it, then send euro to euro.

They also said they cannot convert my naira to my euro account.
So how else can I fund my euro dom account or must I buy from aboki? If so, he must follow me to the bank right, he transfer euro to my dom, I send naira to him, abi

1. You can try using a Euro dom account if you have one or try going to various banks to find out which one would be suitable for you.
2. Check abokifx.com for current exchange rate
3. Finitiba isn't a physical bank. When you get here, you'll have to open another account and your money would be paid into that account every month.

Thanks a lot

2. How do I go about to fund it. which bank is better to use GTB (do I need to open GTB EURO DOM ACCOUNT)?
How do I know exchange rate?

3. How do I verify the finitiba account is real (not scam) to avoid being duped?

Go with what's on the pdf you saw as you listed. Required documents is on the website too.
You don't need to certify them. Just make sure you go with 2 copies of each doc as stated. You might be sent back if your copies are not complete.
Incase of the one where you don't have original like admission letter, Confirmation of blocked acct, motivation letter, make 3 copies of each, use one as original and the other 2 as copies. Your visa application forms must be printed not photocopy. Go with at least 3 Passport Photograph. In case you don't have biographical old docs. You can use your state of origin.
You need to write another letter of motivation different from the one you used for admission. You can use the same format tho.

thanks

• prepaid courier envelope by any major courier service
• letter of motivation
• WAEC-Certificate
• Proof of previous academic studies/professional training/ work experience (if applicable)

1. Search for German Consulate Lagos on google and educate yourself on how to book.

2. You can book now and your interview would be in the month of May or you can wait till next month to book for June. I would rather the former for safety reasons. Your Visa approval is dependent on when you fund the acct. Fund it in July and you would get your AM in July and so on.

3. Not true bruv

4. You need to open it before interview ok

5. You won't know till you find the account.

6. NO

7. Yes you can do that in PH. Fintiba can do that seamlessly for you. I would advise you wait till a May before you open the account.

8. I don't think so. They mostly ask you to book. Mine cost €10 to book. That's about 4000. Safer to book now OK.

9. You get a refund. You can also leave it to use to apply for next semester if for any reason you missed out. I know you won't need to go through all of that though

10. Be of good behavior and stay for over 10 years. Get married to a German girl of course.

11. High. it's definitely up to you. Make good grades, possibly go for Ph.D, get married, invite your wife to join you, give birth to kids and so on. Sha don't implicate yourself sha.

All the best

Thanks so much. but pls in Number 5 question.
You said i wont know if i passed the visa interview until i fund my Blocked account.
What if after interview, I then fund my blocked acct and later got to know the interview was not successful.

Also I plan to fix my interview earlier since its wiser to make it earlier.
i will open the blocked acct without funding it and go for the interview.
but i plan to fund my blocked account like 6 weeks after my interview. hope i am save?

Pls how to I open German blocked acct finitiba in port harcourt?

Good Evening my brothers and sisters.
Thank you for all your help. God bless.

I have my admission letter.
I am suppose to resume in Germany August 25th.
MSc in Jena, Germany

Pls I have some questions....

1. Pls how do one book an appointment for German student visa? (website and steps)

2. If its ok to book an appointment now, can i fix the appointment date to be ending June or early July?
(so that i will have time to raise money to open blocked acct immediately after interview.)

3. because I heard after visa interview, they will give you limited time to fund your account. is this true?
or can i even go for the visa interview now and fund the blocked acct by july?

4. Do i need to open the blocked account first (without fund in it) b4 going for the visa interview, then fund it after interview if successful?

5. After the interview, how will i know i am successful so that i can go ahead to fund the blocked account?

6. Should I wait to hear from the embassy first if successful in visa interview before doing blocked acct?

7. Can I open a German blocked account while in Port Harcourt without visiting Lagos?
Or can i request to open blocked acct there in the German embassy after the visa interview to avoid travelling to Lagos two times?

8. The university mail said I should apply for student housing soon. will i need to pay housing first even b4 getting visa?

9. What happens to the money in the blocked account if i eventually didnt make it to Germany?

10. What are the criterias to become a German citizen?

11. what are the chances of staying in Germany forever after graduation?

After Msc graduation, I heard one has 18 months to stay and search for job. Is this true?

what are the possibilities of getting a job after graduation?

what conditions can secure one citizenship or resident while schooling or after graduation?

does anyone here lives close or know about Jena, Germany (second largest city in Thuringia)?

You said u've been reading for a while am sure should should have come across all answers you need on this few pages ago... anyways
1. With the date of resumption it's seems that's a Winter Semester Admission letter
2.You will only get a blocking confirmation of your Blocked account only when the required fee is complete (8640) even if it remains 10Euro... so your half is not enough yet Bro
3.If you wanna get a sponsorship letter the person giving you must either be a German or any other nationality(Nigerian) but living and working (or have Assets) in Germany...
4.You can fund before or after Interview... If you have the money complete it's advisable u block while going for Interview but if not range of 3-4 weeks is not too bad either.
5. Yes! You can book an appointment so far you already have your Admission letter at hand Here is the link to book an Appointment
https://service2.diplo.de/rktermin/extern/appointment_showMonth.do?locationCode=lago&realmId=347&categoryId=654&dateStr=01.06.2018

I hope this helps

Thanks a lot....I just checked the interview link..it said appointment not available at this time.

pls can I book for an interview date of june or july when it becomes available?

hi guys, thanks for all your comments. I have been reading for a while.

I just got an admission to Friedrich-Schiller-Universität, Jena, Germany (MSc) to start ending august or september.
I already have the admission letter. The mail said I should book an appointment for visa with the embassy.
I have been hearing of blocked account here.
I dont have up to 8640 euro...I have about half of that.
(how do i know the actual amount i need to open..does this change?)

Can i use a sponsor in Nigeria since i dont have enough money.
Also do i need to open and load the german blocked account first before going for interview?
If not, after the interview, how long do i have to open and load the account?
Can i fix visa interview date now?
