Romance / 9 Weird Psychological Reasons Someone Might Fall In Love With You by ByTeCuBe: 6:41pm On Oct 20, 2017
It turns out that there is a lot of science about why people fall in love that is at once super strange and actually fairly credible.
Happy Valentine's Day!
If you're eating heart-shaped chocolates alone in a bathrobe this Tuesday, don't worry: Society doesn't get to tell you the right way to celebrate the life of a martyred third-century Catholic saint — and also, love and attraction are weird and mysterious things.
There's a lot we don't understand about love — to the degree that we're even sure it exists as a meaningful psychological state outside of social constructs. And there's a lot that's idiosyncratic to individual people and couples.
That's why a lot of research into why we mate is bizarre to the point of incoherence — cultural norms as well as oddities in research methods can create a lot of noise. Yet it turns out there is a lot of science about why people fall in love that is at once super strange and actually fairly credible.
Keep in mind that no one study is enough to draw definite, broad conclusions. That's especially true because this research tends to focus on the specific behaviors of heterosexual undergraduate students at the universities where researchers work.
Still, there's a lot of fascinating knowledge out there about our habits of love and attraction.
Here are nine of the most interesting findings:
1. People tend to fall in love with other people who are like them. Shared values, life experiences, levels of attractiveness, and age can all make a major difference.
Sources: Journal of Experimental Social Psychology », Journal of Personality and Social Psychology »
, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology »
2. If you want someone to fall in love with you, then it might help to resemble their opposite-sex parent. That can mean hair and eye color but also age. Children of young parents tend to seek out young partners more often.
Source:
3. There's some evidence that scent can play a role in attraction. Ovulating women, for example, may prefer the scents of men with more testosterone. And men may prefer the scents of women at certain times in their menstrual cycles.

Also, check out our review of a site that matches people based on how they smell after not showering ».
4. If you keep an open posture, then that can make you seem less closed off — and more inviting and attractive.
Source: Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences »
5. Height can also play a major role in attractiveness — especially for men — in the short term and long term.
Sources: , Archives of Sexual Behavior »
6. Sharing thrilling or scary experiences looks like a great way to jump-start attraction. So maybe skip that coffee date for some skydiving?
Source: Journal of Personality and Social Psychology »
7. If you and your crush live close to each other, then it's more likely to turn into something because you can get to know each other through accidental run-ins. At least, that's the case for college students in their dorms.
Source: American Psychologist »
8. Smiling is another great way to seem attractive. Research suggests that many people are just drawn to more positive partners.
Source: Cognition & Emotion »
9. The best way to fall in love with someone is to get to know him or her. One widely known study showed this by having pairs of strangers ask each other just 36 questions in 45 minutes. The results demonstrated exactly how people could build intimacy with almost anyone — if they tried.

TV/Movies / What You Need To Know About Beinsport, Supersport And TSTV by ByTeCuBe: 4:21pm On Oct 02, 2017
I have seen a lot of comment since the launch of TSTV. some people say Supersport has only the exclusive right to show EPL matches thats a big lie. I want you to know they purchase the right from EPL just like when WC is coming and BON purchase right from FIFA To show the matches. The same in EPL And every where. Those staggering tv right money EPL is making comes from these deals.
I want you guys to know the same way supersport has right to show same as BeinSport. Even if our own AIT pays epl for right they would still show epl matches.
But because the same company that owns DSTV is also link to supersport thats why supersport is exclusive to Gotv and Dstv so TSTV cant have Supersport has a rival tv.
So TSTV opted for BEINsport which is like supersport.
There is a website called quora-live.tv which show live streaming they also use Bein sport.
So why pay high when you can pay low and still max the same benefit.
Supersport is just a big station that can afford the staggering EPl money thats why it seem exclusive.
Buy naija...grow naija

Well, I read through the chats. For those stating that tstv is dead on arrival due to their business strategy, are you their God? What have you started for yourselves? Please, leave them alone. What matters here is the quality and quantity of stations they provide at a reasonable price. I, and I also think most Nigerians won't care replacing our Dstv decoders for tstv if they keep to their promises of that 20gig and a monthly subscription of 3k for all football matches(thats for someone like me). Nigerians won't care about how they achieve that feat( HDD, terrestrial or cable), they should keep to their word and I guarantee you that their bank account will never have a dull moment.
bro i swear na u get sense past if they keep their promise if they dont do a glo chip data to attract customers nd biko raise it bak again even slow network if tstv can maintain this i see dstv gotv leaving naija soon

Too many financial analysts, corporate strategists, process re engineering experts, change consultants, Telecom experts etc on this thread alone.
Some even argued that Dstv alone holds epl rights in Nigeria.
Some others said bein sports is for Asia and north African audience but could not provide superior argument when some others argued that all football matches are watched live in the naija delta courtesy ctl bein sports

With the level of business acumen on display here, one wonders why the economic space is not replete with fast springing small businesses.
The owner of tstv has moved the narratives away from mere internet arguments,he has launched into the deep.
For a venture that we have nothing to lose but all to gain, the word should be patience.
who told them supersport has exclusive right AIT should pay for epl right whether they will not be given..dis pple nid 2 update their knowledge
TV/Movies / Re: We Might Still End Up Spending More With Tstv by ByTeCuBe: 3:56pm On Oct 02, 2017
Millz404:
I was just wondering. Each tstv plan has an amount of data allocated to it, and just like Mobile networks, the fact glo sells 3gig for 1000 naira a month does not mean you cannot use it up in a week.

Below are data packages offered by tstv

TSTv daily plan – N200 plus 500MB
TSTv 3 days plan – N500 plus 1GB
TSTv Weekly plan – N750 plus 2GB
TSTv 10 days plan – N1,000 plus 3GB
TSTv 2 Weeks plan – N1,500 plus 5GB
TSTv Monthly Plan – N3,000 Plus 10GB

What happens if your 200 expires in 6hours depending on the usage.

200 naira a day for 500mb does not mean u can not use it up in 3 hours just like with mobile data (i stand to be corrected)

This is more like streaming tv programs. My question is.

Will the allocated data be enough to carry you throughout the duration or finishes up when it finishes depending on usage?
it is not straeming biko they just give you that one as added service after your data finish u can still watch tv

Phones / What Is Wireless Charging And How Does It Work? by ByTeCuBe: 1:37pm On Sep 10, 2017
Wireless charging, like the Qi charging many Android phones use, isn't new technology. My Panasonic electric razor used it many years ago, and most of us have seen toothbrushes that charge wirelessly in a cradle. And of course, we can't forget Palm and the way they brought wireless charging (though a different standard) to the masses with the Touchstone . Now that size, cost, and efficiency constraints have all eased up a little, putting wireless charging in something like your Android phone or watch makes more sense.
Wireless charging isn't magic — you still need a wire. the difference is that the wire is connected to a charging base instead of your phone, so you can just drop your Android onto the charger and things get to work without hooking anything up to your phone. The charging base can be almost any shape or size, and can even be in something like your car dash or the base of a lamp from IKEA. As long as you're able to get the right spot on the rear of your Android on the right spot on the base of the charger, it will work.

Sports / Re: Mbappe, Neymar And Cavani All Scored For Psg Against Metz by ByTeCuBe: 10:37pm On Sep 08, 2017
jaybabz:
Kylian Mbappe wasted little time getting acclimated to playing for PSG. The 18-year-old star, who is spending the season on loan from Monaco ahead of a transfer next summer that will make him the second-most expensive player ever, scored a go-ahead goal for PSG at Metz in his debut for the club. The goal came moments after he drew a controversial red card on Benoit Assou-Ekotto, which reduced Metz down to 10 men. Mbappe and PSG took full advantage, with the French youngster benefiting after trying to assist Neymar. His chip forward was cleared right back to him at the top of the Metz box, though, and he delivered a cool, first-time finish to give PSG a 2-1 lead in the 59th minute. Lucas Moura capped the rout in the 87th minute to make it 5-1. PSG is perfect to start its Ligue 1 season with 19 goals scored and three conceded in five matches. www.si.com/soccer/2017/09/08/psg-metz- kylian-mbappe-goal-debut-video-neymar-cavani

Sports / Aliko Dangote, Africa's Richest Man, Wants To Buy Arsenal, Sack Wenger by ByTeCuBe: 1:29pm On Aug 17, 2017
Africa's richest man says he is plotting a bid to take over Arsenal -- and that his first move as owner would be to fire Arsene Wenger.
Nigerian billionaire Aliko Dangote told Bloomberg in an interview that he is planning to make an offer to majority owner Stan Kroenke once the construction of a new oil refinery in Lagos, Nigeria, is completed.
"The first thing I would change is the coach," Dangote was quoted as saying. "He has done a good job, but someone else should also try his luck."
Wenger was handed a new two-year contract as manager at the end of last season despite a turbulent campaign that saw Arsenal finish fifth in the Premier League.
While a growing number of fans turned against Wenger, Kroenke remained steadfast in his backing and extended his 21-year reign after the club won the FA Cup in May.
Kroenke also rejected a takeover bid from minority shareholder Alisher Usmanov in May and has said the club is not for sale, though that has not deterred Dangote, who has spoken of wanting to purchase Arsenal in the past.
"If they get the right offer, I'm sure they would walk away," he said. "Someone will give them an offer that will make them seriously consider walking away. And when we finish the refinery, I think we will be in a position to do that."
According to Forbes, Dangote has a net worth of nearly $13 billion -- considerably more than Kroenke's $7.5bn.
