Politics / Re: SW Governors Declare 3 Day Fasting For Yaradua by C2H5OH(f): 7:43am On Dec 10, 2009
People on that side eat scantily so I doubt that they would have a difficult time fulfilling SW Governors' wish. lol

^^^^ LOL no I am just feeling the sentiments along with the topic discussants
Ohh okay. Yeah the mood went somber there for a cool minute because we went off on tangents and started discussing death and appreciation. It's good to be reflective sometimes. Life isn't a simple bed of roses.
I'm still very young so I don't even want to begin imagining what it would be like losing loved ones as my life progresses. angry

Nairaland / General / Re: What An Insult To Nigerians by C2H5OH(f): 7:15am On Dec 10, 2009
Maybe if your furck boys would stop with the wayo yahoo-yahoo shnit, none of thise would be a cause for concern.
Still quite appalling to see open-field unhidden discrimination like that.

I am disgraced for us and our public image as Nigerians.
Family / Re: What Is It Like To Have A Brother? by C2H5OH(f): 7:08am On Dec 10, 2009
Lol that's hilarious. I get where you're coming from. grin grin grin at your mushy brother.
I can't even open my mouth to tell my sister I love her. I'm not used to it. Of course she knows I love her with all my heart. Spitting out the words from the mouth is the hard part. It would probably creep her out as well. And I agree the trend is to release the inhibitions as you segue from childhood to adulthood, but some of these closted practices just don't go away easily.
Lol.
Politics / Re: Fashola Launches Surveillance Helicopters by C2H5OH(f): 7:02am On Dec 10, 2009
Yeah, I don't grasp the purpose of this helicopter unless someone can explain it to me in bits and pieces. I wouldn't deny it being for a good cause, I just can't imagine how it would be effective in curbing chaos if it breaks out. We already have a hard time commuting to-and-fro emergencies by land, let alone flying helicopters through the air. If havoc bobs its ugly head at Yaba market would be Helicopter be able to find a suitable landing zone? If not, then how can it take action?

I'm just saying. I mean think how one would miss their siblings who might be millions of miles away. But at least there's hope of seeing them again. You're right about the love and appreciation. I do it everyday.
Yeah, sorry dear. I understand where you're coming from.
I don't do it everyday, but it's always on my mind. Just wish I am more vocal about it. Some of us Nigerian dudes are just not so in tune with vocalizing those kinds of expressions; although some do it.
Family / Re: What Is It Like To Have A Brother? by C2H5OH(f): 6:46am On Dec 10, 2009
Sad part is he doesn't have to imagine it since he's already living it.
Sucks when tragedy hits.

Appreciate the ones you love the most, always. You never know when the "Prime Mover" will call.
Sports / Re: NBA Season 2010/11 by C2H5OH(f): 6:44am On Dec 10, 2009
Mhmmm my Lakers amped up the Defense and jizzed the Jazz when it mattered most in the 4th quarter. From being down to being up 20. Really big momentum swing.
Always a good win when the Lecrabaliers lose. smiley

bawomolo:

but your God wants women to endure bad marriages in the name of keeping the family together?
Nah dude, you misunderstood. Lol, my God wants them to take a vow to support each other.
How they manage those vows is entirely on them since they have their God-granted freewill.

you shouldn't suffer in a marriage all in the name of bringing your family together.

Tiger wood's love-vendor hand wasn't that strong after all.
No you shouldn't. However, if you are a firm believer in God you should endure to a certain degree. That's the vow and pact you made before God and man on the day of your wedding.
Obviously, they shouldn't be stupid enough to stay with men that would annihilate them.
