Thank you so much for this ma.
I went to YouTube and saw how to extract tomatoes and peppers seeds myself and even how to plant it. I'll just find a way to buy the ugu seeds. Thank you for the motivation ma. I really hope the vibe don't fizzle out too son

IyaAlaje1:
Hi caaz. I really appreciate you reaching out ma.

I like that you grow your food yourself. It's really beautiful, honestly.

It just clicked that I actually have healthy soil at home and it is fenced so no fear of goat.
We grow bitter leaf, water leaf, curry and scent leaf, and an orange tree that birds keep eating the fruits.
I'm really interested in that tomatoes, pepper, okro and ugwu segments sha.

Most of the aforementioned crops grew as weed except the bitter leaf that I was given the stick to plant . I'll like to know where one can buy the seeds from? I am in Lagos,by the way.

And that planting in pure water nylon first before transferring. How does that work ma.

Your diary has motivated me to start planting actively.

Concerning the tomato and pepper....I didnt buy the seeds,i squeezed the seeds from the fresh tomatoes I bought, same with the pepper.

Concerning the transplant thingy....I did that because at that planting I hadnt tilt my soil...so after making sure the soil is ready,I transplanted.

The ugu.... I bought the seedlings.

nnamdi640:
I'm an Igbo man, I can't eat food that has no pepper because I will vomit

Asked yourself....who cooks food without pepper?
Because i didnt included pepper, nor mean say pepper nor dhey.

Secondly people needs to explore other ways of cooking soups, seems our minds has been conditioned to use one particular style.

I xplore my egusi soup with different veggies, more of greens, curry leaf and ugu.
Using different veggies is individual choices.

Thanks!

lordm:
Nice food. I still don't like chicken in egusi soup

What re your preferences then?
Beef/ice-fish?

iamnotillicit:
Hi Ahnie

I don't enjoy chicken if it's not fried...

It would look weird cooking egusi soup with Fried chicken inside

Make sure your landlord is not staying in the compound...e get why!

I prepared this soup as Lunch with #2000, except for the chicken and grocery(eba).

Melon #1500
Sachet tomato #200
Redoil #300
Chicken....reared.
Ugu...
Curryleaf

Chicken egusi soup

Hello Botragelad

Cooking is better than eating out.

#1500 prepared this chicken egusi soup this afternoon.
If you want to eat this food outside it will cost nothing less than #500
And i still have remainder in the pot.

Landline voucher.

sylve11:
It's called sawdust, not soil dust.

Thank you oniovo, correction taken.

Any bird that cannot peck and gobble down ants isn't fit to live...

UnFortunately most broilers dont pick ants....they re too lazy.

I rear birds too but strictly for Consumption purpose, make sure your environment is clean,

You could put sawdust on the cage floor and sweep every 2 days.
Sorry for your loss.

Cohabitation goes wrong....

Esthered:
What of your wife?

What's she doing to help you?

Nice question, i was about asking same.
