Sometimes you want to say, “I love you, but…” Yet the “but” takes away the ‘I love you’. In love their are no ‘buts’ or ‘if’s’ or ‘when’. It’s just there, and always. No beginning, no end. It’s the condition-less state of the heart. Not a feeling that comes and goes at the whim of the emotions. It is there in our heart, a part of our heart…eventually grafting itself into each limb and cell of our bodies. Love changes our brain, the way we move and talk. Love lives in our spirit and graces us with its presence each day, until death. by E.A. Bucchianeri WHY DO HUMAN BEING FEEL MUCH HAPPY AT THE EARLY STAGE OF THEIR LOVE? Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State at the weekend entered into trouble in London when he was yelled at, booed and assaulted at Chatham House, London by Imo indigenes who addressed him in unprintable words. Okorocha was in London to rally support of Nigerians in England for the All Progressives Congress and for himself as he is seeking a re-election ahead of the general elections slated for March and April. Other APC leaders who were in London to mobilize support for the party included; the presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari, national leader of the party, Senator Bola Tinubu, Edo state Governor, Adams Oshiomhole and a host of others According to eye witness account when Okorocha arrived Chatham House, London, venue of the rally he met to his chagrin placards- carrying Imo indigenes chanting solidarity songs to express their disapproval of his visit The eye witness stated that immediately he alighted from the taxi that brought him some Imo indigenes rushed to shove him and informed him that they were not prepared to listen to his speech. They accused him openly of mismanaging Imo funds and misruling the state, wondering why he wanted to address them. “Shouting on top of their voices they abused Okorocha, calling him all sorts of unprintable names dehumanizing of a street person not to talk of a state Governor”, the eye witness said. According to him, it was the timely intervention of other APC leaders and Hon Emeka Nwajuba, former member of the House of Representatives, that saved the day. Hon Nwajuba was said to have addressed the Imo indigenes, appealing to them to shield their sword and for understanding. According to Mr. Uche Achonwa, a London based Public Relations expert from Omumu-Ishiaku in Ideato LGA of Imo, the Imo indigenes in London were annoyed that Okorocha came to Chatham House in London despite several warnings given to him not to come to London until he fixes the issue of mismanagement in the state. He said Imo people in London were annoyed that Okorocha assaulted widows in the state, of which group his mother belonged to, and the passage of the Abortion Bill in Law last year. http://themoment.com.ng/national/item/3285-gov-okorocha-enters-trouble-in-london |

The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics has reversed its decision to down tools following what it described as a “fruitful” discussions with the Minister of Education, Ibrahim Shekarau, and the House of Representatives Committee on Education. The union had a two-hour meeting with Mr. Shekarau and another meeting with the education committee of the House of Reps. The National Publicity secretary of ASUP, Clement Chirman, told reporters that the union’s negotiation team will relay the outcome of the meetings to the ASUP’s National Executive Council. While calling on union members to continue to perform their lawful duties, he said the union and government will continue to dialogue in resolving all outstanding issues. ASUP had been protesting a circular issued by the Ministry of Education, suspending the implementation of CONTISS 15 in polytechnics, and the decisions by the governing councils of Federal polytechnics Oko in Anambra State and Ado, in Ado- Ekiti, to suspend all union activities in the institutions and the sack of union leaders. Mr. Chirman said the Minister of Education has ordered the immediate withdrawal of the circular suspending CONTISS 15 and the restoration of union activities in the affected institutions. Mr. Chirman also said Mr. Shekarau also assured that the ministry will look into all other demands, which border on increased funding for polytechnics and improved staff welfare. Mr. Chirman added that the lawmakers have agreed to expedite action on other demands of the lecturers which also include the passing into law a bill establishing a National Polytechnic Commission. |

A group of thugs on Monday in Owerri, Imo state, unleashed terror on harmless protesting widows, leaving them with multiple injuries. The widows numbering over 2000 under the aegis of Imo Widows Association (IWA) were drawn from the 27 local government areas of the state assembled at the Okigwe Road roundabout few meters to the Government House, Owerri at about 8.45am to protest some of the injustices meted to the Minister of State for Education, Professor Viola Onwuliri. The protesting women alleged that a group of women suspected to be Imo State government agents last week in Owerri accused the Minister of killing her husband Prof. Celestine Onwuliri who died in a plane crash. While the widows who were assembled peaceful with their placards, a group of young men suspected to be cultists emerged from nowhere hauling snatches of pure water on them before flogging them like a common criminal. Some of the placards read, ‘’An injustice to a widow is an injustice to all. Governor Rochas Okorocha leave Prof. Viola Onwuliri alone. Onwuliri had assisted us a lot’’. The angry mob who were physically supervised by the state Commissioner for Youths and Sports Mr Kenneth Emelu cornered the widows to Item Street which is the adjoining street of Wetheral Road where they (hoodlums) beat them up to stupor. A camera man from the Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Mr. Eric Etuk who was covering the protest was beaten-up and his camera was taken away by the hoodlums. Etuk who was bleeding profusely said that all his personal effects were also taken away. As the widows were running away for their dear lives some of them felt into the gutter sustaining various degree of injures. Narrating their ordeal, the leader of the group (widow), Mrs Edith Anjiwo said that a group of young emerged from nowhere at the old Garden Park and started banging on their vehicles as well as ordering them to enter into their cars. ‘’We were in Owerri to let the government know that it is not good to disparage or maltreat any widow. The attack on us was uncalled for and unwarranted because we are harmless’’. The state commissioner for Information and Strategy, Chief Chidi Ibe applauded the beating of NTA Cameraman saying that, he was hired by Prof. Onwuliri to cover the event. It took the intervention of combined military, police and other security agencies led by commander 34 Brigade Obinze, Brigadier -General Lanre Bello to put the situation under control as some women who were mobilized by the state government started to be violent by attacking the widows. Governor Rochas Okorocha addressing supporters on arrival from Abuja accused Prof. Onwuliri of sponsoring the crisis alleging some of the widows who were clothed in black came from Abia state and warned the Abia State Government to stop allowing her women to be recruited to cause crisis in Imo State. early newspaper didn't tell uss anything about coffin in the story. After a long trail of controversy, Nigeria’s top comedian cum entertainer, Ambassador Uche Ogbuagu has released his much anticipated comical album, titled: “Ka O Puo.” The album which is said to be the most hilarious and philosophical outburst from the voice of the deceived and oppressed, according to sources close to Ambassador Ogbuagu who is a media Executive in the Transformation Ambassadors of Nigeria (TAN) is exclusively distributed by Remmy Jes Productions Limited, in its outlet nationwide. During an interaction with newsmen recently in Owerri, Ogbuagu who informed that the 3 tracks album has one recorded in English language (Leaders of Next Tomorrow) which x-rays the true position of average Nigerian youth in today’s politics, adding that the track 3 titled “Iga Awota” (You won’t understand) is designed to expose the deplorable decay of Igbo culture by both politicians, religious and social class. He further said that the album “Ka O Puo” is a promise fulfilled and that even threat from Imo state government agents who hijacked the first 100,000 copies from the distributor could not stop it, adding that they have doubled the production to 600,000 copies. Since the final release, controversy has continued to trail it, even as a known social commentator in Imo state by name, Ifeanyi Osuagwu has described Ogbuagu’s courageous effort as one without fear to stand for justice of the common man. “We are all aware of what is happening in Imo today. What will have as a government is one without respect for due process; of which we can all attest that within the past three years of administrative reign, it’s been joke upon joke. “And I’m happy Uche Ogbuagu is out again to redirect the people on the dangers of remaining quite, instead of going out there to cast our votes for the right candidates. At least, he has carefully taking his time to expose the ills in government, and now we are enlightened,” he said. According to the rib-cracker, Talkison Entertainment International (his underground recording studio) located at Akabo, will also be releasing two albums of Imo born artistes, titled “Nigeria Dey Pregnant” by Elder Ken who hails from Orlu zone and “Onye Chimere Eze by Chief Goddy Ibeawuchi who hails from Owerri zone. He further disclosed that before recording the album (Ka O Puo) which he said is for every home who believes in the truth, he said he embarked on research that took him years after his 2011 album titled “Oku Di Over” pleading that all those the album may offend should bear with him. The video, he also said will be in the market in two weeks time, as well as uploading of the video on YouTube which according to him can be viewed in a week time. Our Gov Rochas have finish us Wash man Your sins is finding you out |
