Nigeria would most likely stay neutral until it knows definitively which side is winning. Otherwise it, and the rest of thet part of Africa will remain undisturbed if it weren't for the following:
Nigeria has oil that a particular side will need, along with the Niger river and other transportation lines that will be needed to transport Saharan metals (such as iron, gold, copper, uranium, manganese, and tin) as well as petroleum and of course sand for glass. Not to mention, the Nigerian agricultural power may come in handy for anyone willing to buy extra Nigerian products.
Even further, Nigeria has a huge population and therefore manpower for war.

Actually, social and legal acceptance of gays decreases their risk of AIDS, because their sex won't be clandestine for the most part anymore. This ensures that they can access treatment. Antiretroviral treatment facilities also need to spring up more too, along with education, to educate about AIDS. However, there are major obstacles to this:
1. Continued teaching of STDs as gay diseases (and the associated homophobia)
2. Lack of sex dducation among the populace
3. Lackadaisical handling of corruption (affecting infrastructure)
4. Boko Haram and other violence
Those four problems are sadly constant across much of Africa. Nigeria is no exception.

And secondly, the culture here in the US is a bit too sexualized (gay bars, prostitution, tinder, grindr, etc.). Safe practices are fortunately becoming more common. Also, only about 900,000 people or so live with HIV in the US. That is very low given the population of the US.

Even in the histroy of how hiv spread in the US. Most of the first contact were 1980s gay men.

It only spread like that because:
1. Men are men. They're bound to become manwh**es

3. Safe sex practices weren't well known back then. Now there are numerous class sessions (during health class) that teach safe sex. Some times ago, during my IJMB days, I was a new student in the school, during my hostel registration I applied for one of the rooms upstairs, even though everyone else were applying for rooms downstairs, school resumed and it turnee out just few of us were living at the top of the building,so I decided to visit guys at one of the rooms downwatairs as I was always getting lonely and bored ,with time we became friends with guys in the room, unknown to me there's this gay guy in the room sizing me, so anytime I visit them ,the gay dude always give me extra attention and engage me with talks most times, me thinking he was just a normal friend started moving with him, next thing he started sitting very close to me and getting touchy touchy, then I stopped going to the room altogether ,next two days guy climbed all the way to my room asking me for a copy of my assignment,told him I don't have any with a vexed look on my face, he still hung around my bed touching my legs every opportunity he gets, so I had to tell him there's heat in the room that we should go outside.

Not to mention, the whole thing looks like it was made from scrap metal instead of serious industry. Even the western versions have this problem as well. Another thing to note is the large openings in the knees through which the enemy could shoot. In one clip from the parade, one of the suits had a hydraulic wire hanging out of the ankle. It's a mess overall, it wouldn't survive a battle at all unless the enemy was woefully incompetent.
