Okay let me arrange how I did mine:

Unzip software to a virus-free flash. Turn on your generator (DON'T USE PHCN).

Insert flash to decoder.

Click MENU, Click USB, Select FTP (file transfer protocol)

It will show your flash drive files. Select the decoder software and click Ok.

In about 4 minutes, everything will be installed and your decoder will reboot.

Disclaimer: If something trips off your power supply during install, your decoder will be FRIED and you have to buy a new one.
Ensure you are using the right software to avoid frying things.

Nope! I didn't say anything about a version. My decoder did an OTA upgrade, 6969 stopped working, I came to nairaland, found a link for the right software and it fixed d problem 100%. I'm no FTA guru o.

Make sure to use good unzipping software, good flash drive and follow all the right procedure of updating your receiver.

If you meant 4669xii, that's the software. If not, don't download o.

No. It's okay to let people pour out their frustration. There are a lot of people out there walking about with a false sense of entitlement. Let them say. So FAAN didn't workout for you. Then you wanna do your best to denigrate the entire process? Funny. MOVE ON! Those who are satisfied with the process are 10 times more than you in number. Life doesn't start and end with FAAN.

Talking about states of origin. It's called Federal Character Commission for a reason. Not your father's company. You don't like it, take your grievances to the abokis in the North who scored 55% and got shortlisted. Sorry I have to sound like this but when you have one particular person crying blue murder, you just have to respond in kind.

The only way that this recruitment process can be free and fair to all Nigerians is for FAAN to invite everybody that scored above 50% and conduct interview for them,after which they can now select the best.
moreover if it can take them 2weeks to conduct the test 1day should not be enough for the interview.

That would have just been counter-productive. Keep in mind, a very large majority of those who partook in the screening exercise are very happy with the process. The decision was taken to choose those with the highest scores from each state obviously to reduce bottlenecks which could arise from shortlisting too many candidates. Keep in mind again, that candidates were competing against others from their states. As usual when due process doesn't favour us, we like shifting the goal posts. People started sending bulk sms to themselves either in an attempt at mischief or simply to sabotage the process. This is probably what led to a few of the cases of rejection some posters here have highlighted. I'm sure FAAN will in due course tender their unreserved apologies to those wrongly affected by this.

There's no official dress code. Many people are turning up in all -white. You can wear white shorts and t-shirt for the PFT. Dress code for interview is corporate.

My candid advise is: Only go if you've got d got to risk!

Please stop misleading people. Too many people have complained they scored high and yet got no invites. Allowances have been by made to accommodate more candidates hence the sms notifications. Those who got SMS invites but not shortlisted on the website are eligible for PFT.
