Ekinado: Good Evening House Please Guru I need your advice on this as it is causing chaos in my home. In our PR application, My husband was supposed to be the PA, when we wrote Ielts, He had LRWS 7.5,7,6,6.5. I had 8.5,7,8,7 . The issue now is that he wants me to be the PA which of course was not the initial plan. His background--- He graduated 2011, served 2012/2013. Started working and was being paid 150k. 2016, He obtained his Master's degree which we have accessed with WES and he is currently in Canny on a student Visa.
My background-- I graduated 2016, just started Nysc This month. I started working this year and my salary is 40k as a Teacher. I have accessed my B.ED with WES.
Due to the Ielts and PR requirements, who is in the best position to be PA?
Should my Husband sit for another Ielts?
Do you think I can be the PA with of course forged work experience documents?
I anticipate your candid advice. thanks Both of you can have two express entry profiles - him as PA in one and you as PA in the other. Also I would advise he re-writes IELTS. His Masters Degree carries so much weight with the right IELTS result such as yours. And good luck to you two. |

Good evening house. My family will be going for upfront medicals on Monday, as we plan to submit our PR application same day. Please what are the things we need to go with? Also, I need the address (and contact person if possible) of the police station in Ikoyi where we can get our police clearance certificate. Any advise on how to go about the PCC and upfront medical that will lessen the stress is appreciated. |

My degree is in law but my NOC is in management ." Iphie's "posts led me to use IQAS for my evaluation instead of the popular WES because an LLB is awarded more marks as professional degree which going through WES doesn't give. This boosted my CRS. I evaluated only my degree certificate. You do not need to evaluate law school Certificate.I don't have an LLM. my CRS score was 407 so I had to apply through Ontario. I received NOI in April, applied may 20th and got nominated June 26th with 600points which boosted my score to 1007. I don't have reference letter (which is a very important document in the express entry process) because the company I worked for was shut down. so in place of reference letter, I provided a letter (in form of a reference letter) written(typed actually) by me and notarized by a notary public stating everything that is required to be written in a reference letter. regarding the format of the letter, I started the letter in the form of an affidavit (I, Dolly Parton, hereby declare that...) and not like a proper formal letter with addresses. Also, I attached all my contract/employment letters which had my salary, job roles and position stated, income tax certificate,6 pay stubs and my first and last bank statements showing salary deposits . Before applying for OINP(ontario Immigration nominee program) please ensure that you request your duplicate ECA to be sent to OINP from whatever evaluation company you used. This will reduce any delay in processing your application. The process of requesting for duplicate ECA from IQAS got irritating cos they requested I send hard copies of my request form which cost me more because I used EMS express whom also did not deliver my documents on time(supposed to be 5 days but took up to 2-3weeks). I was fortunate to get a reply from a better informed IQAS representative before EMS was able to deliver my duplicate request form to IQAS, that advised that I could send the requested application copies by fax which was received immediately .why I said "better informed " is because prior to sending my documents through EMS, another representative had responded to my enquiry that IQAS doesn't receive faxed documents .About the fax, I used a free fax service I found online gotfreefax.com. I was able to fax the documents for free to IQAS .There are other online fax services you can use to send fax. All you have to do is scan your documents and send it through their fax link and it gets delivered to the fax machine. There are usually instructions on the websites/apps about how to get it done. (I love how much the internet has made life easier) . Lateness in requesting your duplicate to be sent to OINP can delay your application. Recently, some applications have been processed within a week. I got ITA after the nomination last week .I think I have said all that needs to be said. More information on OINP human capital stream can be found on http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/oinp-ee-human-capital-priorities-stream-comprehensive-guide.396543/page-315
After receiving nomination, OINP Will deliver the nomination certificate to you through express mail. mine arrived after 7 days of nomination . When filling my ITA online, I noticed there was no place for uploading the nomination certificate but had read somewhere that CIC usually requests for it. so what I did (which I read somewhere that others also do) was to upload the nomination certificate together with the LOE .my LOE also explained the reason why I don't have a reference letter and that my POF (treasury bill) is from my husband because the treasury bill statements are in his name. He also wrote a letter stating that he's giving me access to the funds which we uploaded to the POF section.
OINP is definitely expensive and cumbersome to apply for because they request for more documents than CIC did ,but it can be done. Yes, I did it on my own without an agent .I understand that this application process can seem too much for some to manage themselves but I believe with patience and research, it can be done. Hope my post helps someone. Once again ,I appreciate the people who contribute to this thread. God bless you abundantly. Hi, please how long did your PR application take. I can see that PR applications through provincial nomination take longer than the normal EE. |

GlitteringStar: 1. You can upload your marriage certificate alongside the newspaper publication.
2. YES!!! Infact, that is the best thing to do. "The medical examination confirmation is required up front and must be valid at the time of application"( Culled from CIC website http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/tools/perm/express/intake-complete.asp). Thanks, but I'm curious to find out if there is anybody who has used the marriage certificate plus newspaper publication as legal document for change of name. |

Homguy: Homguy: Good day friends, I have been following this thread for a while due to my intent to migrate to Canada when possible. I and my fiancee have written the IELTS exam. We passed very decently (8 /9). However, as a pharmacist in Nigeria, is it compulsory i do a qualifications assessment before applying to the pool?
Secondly, i have a friend in Canada whose willing to stand as a relative, however, he is really a family friend. My question is would the difference in our family names be a problem? And would i be required to migrate to the same city he is in? Thanks
Cc; Maternal Justwise Fusion23 Zandora Yes you need to do your ECA and I advise you do it with IQAS. It will be assessed as a Bachelors Degree. When you get to Canada, you can do the necessary qualifying exams. Your IELTS result seems good but you need to consider each band separately. if you did >= 8 in Listening and >= 7 in the other bands, you are good to go, especially if your age is less than 35 years. My final words, do your ECA and jump into the pool. Things become clearer while in the pool. Please leave out your friend in the entire process, you won't be getting any points from him. |

Dammiehar: Royal Bank of Canada is quite easy. Once you fill out the online form and put in your details, you will be given an advisor who will contact you and tell you the next steps to take as per opening the account. He/she will also help out with the statement and everything, just make sure you tell them what you want from the beginning. The only thing is that I don't think you will be able to withdraw from that account till you get to Canada. My sister who is going to Canada as a student did the same thing to export funds to Canada.

1> How can I open a bank account in Canada while in Nigeria?
2> If I succeed in opening the bank account, how can I get a signed and stamped statement of account with the letter from the bank that I can use as POF in line with the guidelines of IRCC.
Please anybody with experience in this should help out. |

yimiton: Good morning guys, I know my question is a bit far fetched but does anyone think CRS that will be given ITA will ever fall below 440 again?
I have 438 points and missed ITA twice, so I just registered to retake IELTS with the hope of getting the highest possible scores in all 4. I currently have L8, W7, R7, S7.5 With one more point in reading and half a point in the other 2, I should get better points.
However, it will be nice to know if you guys think that the required CRS points will drop in subsequent draws. The CRS will certainly drop. It's where it is today because of people like us that got provincial nomination. Ontario gave out a lot of provincial nomination this month and that affected the score. But, if you check the analysis by IRCC, you will see that now that the provincial nominees have been awarded ITA, the next one will certainly drop. I am guessing to around 432 or below and you will be covered. See link below for the analysis. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/express-entry/rounds.asp |

billy: Good day Gurus in the house.
I want to initiate plan to relocate to Canada using the Express Entry system (Permanent Residence). I am married with two kids, presently working with over 9 years of experience. But the arrangement on ground is for me to relocate first while my wife and two kids (3yrs & 5yrs) will join me after my settling down.
I am new on this platform and have reached out to Attorney David Cohen (I am sure most of us knows his firm). The professional fee requested by this firm is rather on the high, $1,990.
My enquiries are listed below:
1. Can I initiate the process myself without going through any firm or agent? 2. How do I go about the process from start to finish if i need to do it myself without any agent? 3. If I include my family in the processing, will it increase my chances of getting ITA, noting my wife also works with over 7 years experience. 4. At what point will I go for the IELTS exam?
Please help with all the necessary info I may require to start the processing.
Thank you ALL I will advise you not to use any agent. You can do it yourself. The first step is to do your ECA (Education Credential Assessment). If you have a degree in Law and that's your highest qualification, then do your ECA with IQAS. In this case only evaluate your degree, no need to do the law school as well. IQAS evaluates law degree from Nigeria as a professional degree while other evaluating bodies don't. If your degree is not law then use WES. From my experience, WES is faster. While your evaluation is going on, you can prepare for and take IELTS. Aim for a score of 8, 7, 7, 7 or better in Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. When you have your ECA and IELTS result, create your EE profile and hope for the best. |

GlitteringStar: Hello,
The information is NOT false. The FIRST step to take before starting this whole process is to determine one's eligibility. In order to be eligible for EE, one must score at least 67 points out of 100. You can read more about it on CIC's website.
I will also advise you to do your research and be sure of the answer or suggestions you give so that you don't end up misleading people. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp
Best regards. There is no hypothesis in this one. The first step to see if one is qualified for EE is through the come to canada tool. If the person qualifies, he is told at the end of the process. I have tried it with the details given by Fidelism, here is the link below try it out and see if the profile qualifies b4 your advise. Everybody with the new express entry system goes through the same process. Please see the link below. http://www.cic.gc.ca/ctc-vac/ee-start.asp@Fidelism, why not try creating your profile? If the system says you are not qualified, then you can quit. The whole process is less than two hours. Better still, send me your details, I will create your profile for you and, I'm not saying you should not re-take the IELTS, after all a CLB9 and above on all fronts will soar your CRS score. |

GlitteringStar: Hello fidelism,
Using the details you provided, your score is 66/100 which makes you ineligible. Therefore, you need to rewrite your IELTS exams and aim for a minimum of 8777 (8 in Listening, 7 in RWS) in order to be eligible.
The breakdown of your score:
Language: 4+6+6+6= 22 points Education: 23 points Experience: 9 points Age: 12 points
Total is 66 points
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/apply-factors.asp This is completely false. Fidelism is more than qualified for EE. EE is no longer scored using the old system. The new system uses the CRS point calculator and Fidelism's score is 388. |
Travel › Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program Connect Here by calfy: 3:46pm On Jul 21, 2017 |
fidelism: Provide second eye pls Age 30 Single Education Msc Experience 1 year Ielts LRWS 6.5/7.5/7/7 Use the link below to check your CRS score. You are more than qualified for EE. Your CRS point is 388. My 2 cent , stay in the pool while your retake IELTS. More so, if you are IT inclined, Ontario may give you notification of interest for their provincial nominee program called OINP. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp |

I can get my M.Sc done faster than the B.Sc cos I can easily go to the institution to hasten things up unlike my B.Sc institution that is hundreds of kilometers away.
Please advise if I can do just the M.Sc. alone since I am not the principal applicant. Thanks The cost of your ECA is the same for the two qualifications. The extra cost will come from processing and sending your transcript from the respective schools (if the qualifications were not obtained from the same school). But I think it's worth it. Doing your ECA will give you guys additional points. Also, if you haven't taken IELTS, please do so, because you will eventually have to before collecting your canadian passport in the future. |

However, I believe you should place a call through to the student's account office, ext 4900. That's your best bet. ISO may not be the best route.
Also, can you send your details? I am also a prospective Concordian for fall 2017. Hi, so sorry, I just saw your message. My course adviser sent me a form, which I used to do the registration, which I signed and scanned back to her. She later updated myconcordia.ca account with it and I was billed for the courses registered. You can do this yourself at myconcordia.ca. The difference is that you will be able to only register for a maximum of two courses. I posted an update that I have received my receipt. I already have applied for TRV. |

One should eventually transfer you to a receptionist whom you can speak with and have your call transferred to the intl office. You can do this in about an hour/45mins cuz it's currently lunch hour.
The receipt will likely come by email or billed to your account for you to print out. Be calm, it's never too late. Thanks. Someone from the school has contacted me on this. I believe I will receive the Letter of credit soon. |
