Our "sibling rivalry" with our fellow west African neighbours Ghana is understood because of its proximity and other cultural similarities, but the rivalry between Nigeria and SA that just popped up from nowhere in recent years still remains a mystery to me.

Benue State Civil Servants are the worst hit state and local government workers in Nigeria.Non implementation of the 30k minimum wage, owed salary arrears of several months,no form of palliative whatsoever since the removal of fuel subsidy,no concrete news about the implementation of the new minimum wage etc.I don't want to sing about the pensioners in the state, it's going to be a song that never ends.

Well, everything you've said is kinda cool though,but delete that number 1 completely,it has no business on the list with this skyrocketing inflation and no increment of salary.Infact,I can boldly say that 80 percent of Nigerian workers (especially Civil Servants at state and local government level) are collecting about half or less than half of their salaries due to loans and other financial obligations that cannot be forgone for any reason.Saying that a worker should save 20 percent of his or her monthly salary as it stands today is practically impossible.Thanks.
