Politics / Re: 3 Nigerians Who Are Not Yoruba But Currently Holding Political Offices In Lagos by callyik(m): 7:40pm On Oct 17, 2021
TooNoisy:
One thing that is very clear is that the Yoruba are the most accommodating tribe in Nigeria; no one can deny that. However, what have we got in return - hate and envy especially from the Igbos. The Hausa/Fulani are suspicious of the Youruba but they do not hate the Yoruba. The are also accommodating to the Yorubas.

The Edo/Isekiri/Urhoro are siblings to the Yorubas even though they have their own identity. The Efik/Ibibio are somewhat indifferent to the Yoruba but that is fine. The Igbos outright hate the Yoruba and it is time Yorubas become very conscious of this hatred.

Everyday they are castigating Tinubu, Fayemi and Osinbajo; and other potential Yoruba presidential candidates. The other day they were calling Yoruba women undesirable and dirty. All of them were hating on Peter Okoye for marrying a “dirty Yoruba woman” - a woman who is more educated and exposed than anyone in their generation. They insult the same Lagos where they live - why don't they just go back to Onitsha and Aba.

They insult anything Yoruba- from Anthony Joshua, Wizkid, Tiwa and everything Yoruba. These insults are not unnoticed. Yoruba will not forget and will surely retaliate!

I wanted to address this but your moniker has said it all

Health / Re: Help! My Younger Brother Is Going Mad by callyik(m): 1:13am On May 09, 2021
Mrskillz1:
I am from a family of three. I have two brothers. One older and the other younger than me so I'm the only girl in my family.

I grew up seeing my Mom mad.
By my teen age, I got admission into Nnamdi Azikiwe University alongside my elder brother who was to study Engineering. By the time I was in my finals, my brother was getting ready for IT. One day, his roommate sent for me, he said they couldn't sleep the night before because my brother was talking to himself. Before we knew what was happening, my brother was getting violent and so we took him home and he never got back to finish school.
I proceeded with my education and finished. Went for NYSC. While serving the nation, My Mom died. When I got home, she'd been buried.
But my brother was still mad.

I later got job, took my brother to a Psychiatric hospital and the doctor after examining him said he is Schizophrenic. He was asked to stay in the hospital.
I paid. He then stayed there for one month. When I came to visit him, he pleaded with me to take him home that he didn't like it there.

So I took him home. Every month, I buy drugs for him and he gets injected. He usually puts up a fight but with the help of my younger brother, neighbors and a certain nurse, he receives the injection, forcefully and against his will.
Often times, he pleads with me not to inject him, the very time I obliged him, he scattered things, didn't allow the neighborhood sleep, talked throughout some nights and wouldn't eat sometimes. He looked really sick then but with the injection, one will hardly know he's not normal.
I told him that I won't let him miss his injection ever again.

Now, on Monday, my younger brother woke up and was unusually quiet. He normally wakes up and begins to play music with his phone or he will turn to football channel and watch until I leave for work. But I didn't go to work on Monday and I noticed he was quiet, then I asked him why he's quiet. He didn't respond. After some hours, I asked my Dad if he feels he's okay, My Dad said that he wants to be quiet and that I should let him be.

Then, that night, around 4am, my brother began to talk. He was shouting and some of the things he said were not coherent. He talked out of point. I and my Dad, with my elder brother surrounded him and I couldn't help crying when my Dad was cautioning him to keep quiet and he refused.
Neighbours thought it was my elder brother's voice they'd heard that night but by the time they heard in the morning that it was my younger brother, they visited my Dad in the evening. By then, my brother was still talking and even burnt his clothes yesterday.
My Dad got a few guys to chain him because he was violent yesterday when I left the house.
I know the problem is spiritual. I have prayed, fasted for my elder brother and now this!
I'm so unhappy.

Can someone suggest a place I can take my two brothers to so they can be cured, please.

I know a church in Port Harcourt, Soul Winners Ministry International. If you can go there, you will see God heal your family. This is their website, you can find their address and phone numbers. https://soulwinnersministry.org God bless you

From your story, she must have pinned the pregnancy on the other guy and he denied her and even unfriended her. So you are the next target. Pregnancy after 2 months of no communication, Baba no go use your head carry gbese oh. Till they send you the test results, don't go to Osun. Dy your Dy for Lagos. Or, you can bring her to Lagos, lodge her in a hotel or guest house and conduct the pregnancy test. Don't lodge her in your house or anywhere close to your house. From the age of the pregnancy, you go know your next move.

What i keep telling newbies is this, just pick an area and concentrate solely on it, and dont every rely on one source of learning simple e.g if i want to learn dotnet core i would concentrate solely on c# and downlod as many learning resources on c# and dotnet core mosh hamaedani c# udemy series, joseph alambari c# the definitive refernce series etc.
Withing 6-8 months of pure dedication, boom you already a developer.

c# > java by the way grin.

The Spirit of the Lord is upon you. Team C#

Let me not say yes or no, but what am sure of is, is that any road that is well constructed in the north, is 100% better than its counterpart in the other region, in terms of durability and lasting

What is the difference between durability and lasting?

I want to go into blockchain, is it still compulsory I learn html and css before learning python?
I just wanted to at least know one programming language, and from my research python is beginner friendly.

I have gone through so many comments here. And nobody is addressing the fact that the OP wants to go into Blockchain, which I believe he means Blockchain programming. Everyone is shouting html, html is for frontend web development not Blockchain. Python is rarely used for Blockchain either. Dear OP if you want to become a Blockchain programmer, leave whatever you're doing and learn Rust or JavaScript. I will strongly advise you to learn Rust. You don't need html, C/C++ or Python in Blockchain programming. You can email me let's talk better.

Caveat.
The whole uyo protest was not political.
We where given the money and we rejected it, like judas some went back to collect money

We reject the action, and we all have rebuked the actors, we are all still very united on the front for a Nigeria where the people we pay to guard and protect us wont be the people to rob and kill us.
Its a kufreCarter thing and not an uyo thing.

#EndSars #endpolicebrutality #aNewNigeria

He has forgotten the story of Gehazi the servant to Elisha who went back to take rejected gift from Naaman. Like Gehazi like Kufre Carter

If you want to become a Blockchain developer, learn Rust or JavaScript. But I strongly advise Rust and the substrate framework. JavaScript goes for solidity, an etheruem framework. Though solidity is widely popular, due to it's high charges and learning curve, people are switching over to Rust and substrate.
