A distraught father is believed to have committed suicide on Facebook Live because his daughter had chosen to marry without his approval.
In the horrifying video which has emerged,
the distraught father is seen speaking to the camera while calling out his family for the wedding which he did not approve. As Ayhan Uzun, from Kayseri, central Turkey, unleashed the tirade on his family, he held a handgun to his head.
He said: “I am livestreaming tonight, and it is my will, I do not want the ones who put me in this position to attend my funeral.”
Mr Uzun, who was alone at his home, revealed that he only learned about his daughter’s engagement in a telephone call.
He continued: “On my daughter’s happiest day (her engagement), they called me and said to me: ‘Father come have a treat’. Nobody asked about me. Nobody treated me like a man. My father-in-law took my place and without having a right he approved my daughter’s wedding. Nobody said this girl’s father is alive. Though I would have waited for my daughter and family to say to me: ‘Come father, be with us’.He added: “My wife called me and she told me. I said to her why didn’t you come to tell me, and she said: ‘We cannot make a personal visit to you…’ Maybe some of you will call this a show. I do not want anybody to go through this thing that I am going through. A little later I will put an end to my life with the gun I am holding in my hands.”
During his live-streamed speech, friends and relatives sent comments begging him not to take his own life. Some people clicked ‘like’ on the video, most likely strangers. But Mr Uzun took no notice of the plea from his loved ones and apparently went through with his threat.
“Goodbye, I am leaving, take good care of yourselves,” The 54-year-old says at the end of the video then pulls the trigger on the count of three.
Mr Uzun immediately collapsed to the floor in the footage, which has not been independently verified. His family rushed around to the house to find his dead body. Police have launched an investigation and Mr Uzun’s body has been taken to a morgue for an autopsy.

A priest in Kenya who publicly denounced the killing of opposition demonstrators by government police has been found dead.father Odour had urged President Kenyatta to stop killing Luos,
which had made local news headlines.
Father Evans Juma Odour, the Presiding Priest of Nyabondo Parish in Kisumu county, western Kenya, was found unconscious with wounds on his head, face and hands on 23rd October, 2017.
The police reportedly took Fr Odour to a local hospital where he is said to have died due to severe head injuries hours later. May his soul rest in peace …
Viviangist gathered that the priest is believed to have been tortured by unknown persons who later left him, severely wounded, at a sugar plantation around 30km from his home. His car was later found burnt.

Catalonia’s parliament has declared independence from Spain in defiance of the Madrid government, which at the same time was preparing to impose direct rule over the region.

Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy immediately called for calm and said the rule of law would be restored. The motion passed in the regional parliament in Barcelona which was boycotted by opposition parties said Catalonia constituted an independent, sovereign and social democratic state. It called on other countries and institutions to recognize it.

The Catalan government said that of the 43% of potential voters who took part in the referendum, 90% were in favour of independence. But Spain’s Constitutional Court had ruled the vote illegal. In all, the motion declaring independence was approved with 70 in favour, 10 against and two abstentions in the 135-seat chamber.
Immediately afterwards, Mr Rajoy called for all Spaniards to remain calm, promising to “restore legality” to Catalonia. Spain’s Senate is still to vote on whether for the first time to enact Article 155 of the Spanish constitution, which empowers the government to take “all measures necessary to compel” a region in case of a crisis.
It would enable Madrid to fire Catalan leaders, and take control of the region’s finances, police and public media.

Four man taxi swindlers known as one chance was caught today at atiku in uyo,akwa ibom state.

Trouble started when a Hilux van noticed that a woman inside the vehicle was struggling
with two women and was shouting for help in a speeding taxi, the victim who is seen in this photos below in green cloth and I'd a cap, was seen when the vehicle was finally stopped pointing at the two women claiming that she asked them to stop her that she has reached her destination but they refused, and when she started shouting they now want to strangle her and collect the money in her bag, which the hilux owner saw and gave them a chase, after he tried to stop them and they didn't, the two men with them escaped but those two elderly women couldn't not run,people queried them before.....

Zimbabweans have joked about the development, claiming Chinamasa’s appointment makes him the “Minister of WhatsApp and Facebook”.


However, Chinamasa’s first job, it seems, is to get rid of, or regulate the use of Whatsapp and Facebook, raising serious concerns over freedom of expression, access to information and a clampdown on social media messaging.

Zimbabwe actually did, in fact, issue new rules on using WhatsApp, in the country. The rules order groups to be registered and for the administrator of the group to have government level clearance.

It can be argued that Mugabe issued these new rules in order to tone down the rate of inflation in the country via rumors but one can’t but wonder if it isn’t to maintain Mugabe’s 37-year reign, so he could clinch another victory in 2018 presidential elections.
