Hiya, How old is the applicant? Is he/she claiming to be working? If yes, just have some reasonable amount to show. Although since you have a sponsor it might not really matter. But if the applicant is advanced in age, just show responsibility. Hope this helps a bit? bellakay: |
Hiya, 1. To find out eligible PGWP schools pls follow this link: https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/operational-bulletins-manuals/temporary-residents/study-permits/post-graduation-work-permit-program/institutions.html 2. It depends on the school. Usually your Ist session fees will be written in your LOA and the deposit you're expected to pay will be stipulated in the LOA. You are given LOA immediately you're offered admission not after you've paid. LOA contains info about your admission, program duration and fees. 3. Yes, if you study for 1year in a DLI school, you're only going to get a year PGWP. 2 years course gives you 3 yrs PGWP. 4. Please, send an email to the school, they will be eager to respond to your enquiries. 5. Before you determine which school or province you want, you need to put in a lot of hard work in terms of research. Avoid getting info from people, google is your friend o. Research!!! I hope these few answers of mine can help you a lil bit? I wish you goodluck! hardeyeanc: |
Hahahahahahahahah sorry I bursted out loud when I read " my greatest fear is visa rejection" we all dread that shi* a lot chai! You can actually DIY the visa process yourself. It's just for you to have time to read people's experiences and follow this thread back to back to learn. Good thing is, you have ample time to really learn. Good luck! wandeay: |
Pls try and go for 2 years course. It will give you 3years PGWP on your way to PR. Except you don't wanna stay back. Don't waste time and resources, 8 mths is too short and won't or might not lead you to PR except that's not ur goal. That 9k is about the same deposit for a 2 yrs course. Note, 1year course will only give you 1 year PGWP. So, 2 years is better. Heritagebib: |
You're always welcome Accessed: |
I guess you can but maybe try and make your salary 4mths cos DTS the requirement. arie7: |
You're very welcome Ammykorr: |
Exactly it's TMI. I told him/her you don't need to list all the refusals, just mention maybe the last one so as not to call too much attention on yourself. VO is always looking for loopholes to deny you. Of cos we all know they have access to the info so its not as if you lied. But anyway, what do I know? itsyourboya: |
Hi Ammykorr, I'll try to answer you according to my lil knowledge. Firstly, I don't think your Hubby's last visa would have an impact on your application. In fact, if stated in your SOP( that your hubby cldn't leave because he didn't wanna leave you guys behind),that reason MIGHT even help to facilitate your visas. According to IRCC each application is treated independently/individually. Secondly, IF you can provide the 2 yrs POF for the required fees for each of you all well and good but if not 1 year is still OK. I stand to be corrected. Pls let other gurus make an input. Ammykorr: |
Medicals is valid for 1 year so if you apply before Aug its still OK. As for the next steps, gather the necessary docs and fill the forms, pay your fees and submit. paragon4b: |
In my own case I do business but its informal although deposits enters my acct Frm customers. And I even stated it in my SOP DT I frequently travel BTW Nig and Benin Rep cos I do business but still got a refusal based on no ties. I don't have any assets as it is right now. Someone suggested I shld add affidavit of return when I'm reapplying. Although I want to Ist rqst for my gcms notes I'm going for a college Diploma in Social service. dtrixna01: |
It is still valid. Although some banks have an option of E- signed SOA. I paid a token of 20 naira to get an e-signed SOA from Access bank. Check your bank app very well maybe they also have that option but even if they don't have no problem. I've used unsigned digital copies at many embassies before and it has never been an issue. Good luck Accessed: |

Good luck quote author=tenderjunkie post=122853780] All the statement of accounts used in my application were digital copies (not stamped) I used 7 different bank statements for my application and only one was stamped (fidelity bank) and it didn't even belong to my sponsor. I couldn't get MBS because of the banking wahala. As far as your digital bank statement does not have any alterations I don't see why IRCC would not look at it
|
Yes o, congratulations in advance. Once you pass medicals you're good to go for PPR quote author=williamsjay post=122853153]Please house,if you are asked to go for medicals,is it a good sign
|

Thank you @bullstriker. I currently lecture in 2 Universities although both are contract jobs. But I got employment letters and recommendation/introduction letters from both. One stated that my study in Canada will help get promotion on my return, the second stated that I am always welcome back to work with them. Unfortunately, I don't have any asset as I have sold off my car few years back. I also don't belong to any social forum. As for religious group, I am not that consistent in my new place of worship here. My intended program is Social Service Worker and I currently work with youths. I even got a letter from my previous workplace where I used to work with children(toddlers and infants). I am planning to reapply but I will add an affidavit of return to this new application. But I really don't know what else I can input. Pls I need all the help I can receive. I have had refusals frm other embassies before but this one really shattered me and made me sick. Until this time, I never knew one could become sick because they are sad. bullstriker: |
Please how much is the affidavit of return and can you help with the contact where you did yours pls? tenderjunkie: |
Visa approval is not guaranteed by good sch or not. I stand to be corrected. Also, make sure the school has a Designated Learning Institution (DLI) number. I'll advice he goes for 2 years program if it's a Diploma in a college so he can get a 3 years post graduate work permit(PGWP) after the program. Daodudavid: |
Do you really think you need this TMI? Won't this call so much attention to your background? I was also refused UK visiting visa many times even after I have visited the UK in the past. But what I did is that, I only mentioned the recent refusals Frm diff embassies including the UK. I don't think you need to be exposing that you've been refused multiple times from the UK. Well, that's my thoughts sha. kobobay: |
Hi guys, pls I need experts advice. Right now I'm so sad and down casted. I submitted my study permit application on March 25th 2023 and got refusal on Apr 26th 2023. I'm 40+ old lady, single with no child. I live in Benin Rep. I'm a Nigerian and so I applied in Nig. Reason for refusal was that I don't have enough family ties to show I'll return. All my siblings are in different countries abroad even my mum recently traveled but I stated that she's in Nig. because even at the time of applying she was still here. Pls what can I do differently? I can't think straight right now. I feel so let down. I have many past refusals frm diff country embassies even though I've been to the UK before. Although I cldn't state my UK trip because it was past 10 yrs travel history required and also cos even UK kept refusing me since. But I make sure each time I come to Nig frm Benin Rep I stamp my passport and I've made numerous trips even within the last yr. So pls how else can I prove home ties asides my showing only my mum living in Nig?

Hi everyone, Thanks for this platform. Please I want to ask can I skip police clearance? I live in Benin Republic but I will submit application in Nigeria for my study permit. I read somewhere that police clearance is not really necessary. Also, I once saw on IRCC page that Benin Republic police clearance can only be gotten by their citizens. Although, I'm aware that noncitizens can now get it but because of cash constraints I'm thinking I can hide under what I read on IRCC page. But pls has anyone submitted application without police clearance and got their study permit? Secondly, can I be added to Seneca College WhatsApp group please? Thanks y'all as I await your kind responses |
Hi everyone, Please is there anyone going to Seneca College for Fall 2023? Also please, is there any WhatsApp or Telegram group for Seneca College intakes? I'll appreciate your responses please. Thanks y'all |
