I think you guys should wait til international flights resume fully. And if nothing comes from the embassy after that, then you can do what you want to do...

Thanks for your response. Please may I know the process you took and what was the exchange rate?

I want to know if first bank will start raising issues that block account is sort of like a personal account and not a direct payment to school for school fees...

Also, if one doesn't get visa appointment or something else happens, I would like to know if the money would be returned to the person's own naira account or if it will be returned to bank then bank refund me...or one has to open Euro account... The stuff is just confusing.

Please I'd appreciate any tip you can provide based on your own experience.

Thanks a lot man.
Yeah, it's not for school fee per se. One of the reasons I didn't use FirstBank. But Zenith Bank did it without issues with that.

If you want to close your blocked account for any reason whatsoever and get your money back, the naira equivalent will be refunded back to the Zenith Bank account it came from, just like where the naira was gotten from in the first place. So you shouldn't have any problems with that...

How long does it take and must you have a Zenith bank account?
Mine took about a week since it was over the weekend. Yeah, a Zenith Bank account to hold the naira equivalent...

Good evening bro/sis, first, Zenith bank gave you at CBN rate?
Secondly, do you have a domiciliary account with them or a normal account? Thanks for your consideration of my questions.
First, they definitely add to the CBN rate but I don't know how much it is at the moment. It was 414 when I did mine. You could check Zenith Bank's rate itself on abokifx.com or any other sources. Or mail them.

Second, I opened a domiciliary account with GTB but I didn't use it for my BA funding. Their bank charge and the way they would have probably funded it put me off. You should use Zenith Bank. Open a regular account with them and transfer the equivalent amount in naira based on their own rate. You would also need your blocked account information document and admission letter. I used Fintiba for my blocked account, so they provided the necessary documents automatically. Zenith Bank charged me 5K naira for funding my BA. I'm not sure you can find that anywhere else, but make sure you find out about their rate to know the amount in naira you need. All the best...

I have both type of Transcripts. But at the University of Lagos there is a write up on the student transcript were the University clearly state that the student copy should and can't be use as an official copy. Meaning the school is warming that you can't use the Student copies to process any application. If yours is like that then you must use the transcript from Institution. Wen you say the expensive transcript well in University of Lagos Transcript is 3000 Naira. Except in State Schools I don't know is Obtain there. Danke
Hmm. When did you process your transcript for 3K? I did it in 2019 for close to 6K. Now I believe it should cost more... He could just create a Uniassist account and have it uploaded there...

I don't understand your post man, how does German schools opening has to do with the German embassy opening, there is no link, its certainly pointing to the direction that time is running out and most students won't meet up, no one knows when the German embassy are opening, no one knows when int'l flight will resume in Nigeria, we just dey sidon dey look, its August yet no hope, what I find amusing is why pin students visa interview on int'l flight resumption?. I know you are trying to be positive, but bring positive news that actually make sense.
Yeah, student visa interview based on flight resumption. I really don't know why but probably that's where they have a lot of work to do. So they just put it on hold while they handle the ones they have on ground...

Hello house....According to the screenshot, I am supposed to send my university entrance qualification document (Im assuming this is WAEC certificate) for my enrolment. Obviously because I can't send my original document, please can someone confirm if this requested official certified copy means a copy of my result certified at the high court (i.e. notarised)?

I will appreciate a response.

Thank you
Absolutely

Embassy is yet to resume and never made mention of any additional documents stating the need of your presence in the university, but being so desperate alot of people have started requesting for that from schools.

Embassy can only reject ur visa if you couldn't provide the documents they listed for students visa application, or you weren't able to convince the VO during your interview or you couldn't meet up with your enrollment deadline.

I tire for Nigerians.
Exactly. Unnecessary stuff. We should just be patient...

Thank you. I hope people get inspired and know that they can achieve anything they want, no matter who you are and what you have right now. It is possible.

I was bullied all my life by family and friends, dem beat me tire, they even called me a snail because I was so slow. But my behavior was a result of the bullying and abuse. My parents said I would never amount to nothing. I’ve seen hunger, I’ve cried. There were days I would wake up and wish I had died in my sleep.

It took me 2 years of planning to leave Nigeria. I saved every naira, got information, and never gave up. I got rejected by 27 schools and never stopped trying. I didn’t even know anybody in Europe but I knew I would survive.

I was 26yrs when I left Naija. Now I’m 32+ and I’m a man of my own. I pay my bills, travel the world and can do anything I want. All the people that bullied me, now they look up to me. Nothing happens in my family unless I give my opinion. That “snail” has become a leader, by God’s grace. So I hope people reading this can know that they can do it. Whether abroad or in Nigeria.

Instead of spending time on Linda Ikeji blog arguing and cursing Bobrisky, use that data and time to research how you can achieve things. I will do my best to share all the information I can with you guys. Thank you and stay positive.
Really inspiring. Thank you for this...

I support your statement 100% and it's better we look at those other countries even apart from these one here you mentioned
Before they also close their borders to us I made this suggestion here some weeks back and now I've gotten my admission to another country
Currently in the visa stage I just visit here to see what's happening and from the look of things it's not getting better
My application is going smoothly by God's grace

Please and please don't let this German waka block your eye to other places and be wasting your money bikonu
Shalom ❣️
Which country is that please?

Is it true it takes 10months for the embassy to call you for an interview?
That was before, I think the student visa now currently reads "several months" in general.
