Your ref points are really pathetic. Those were communal clashes. If you really want to know men who are men. let's use this osibanjo saga as a testing ground. If osibanjo becomes the President of this country, let my name cease to be Waziri

Very good development from the one time sleeping governor. So nice to know he's woken up to his responsibility of ensuring safety of lives and properties of his people.

Well done Governor

He shouldn't be providing safety for herdsmen from rustlers alone but that of the entire people residing in Benue.

Perhaps if the northerners will apologise for the Jos riot of 1945 and the Kano 1953 killing of Igbos.

U talk as if every event that brought us to where we are now started with the 1966 coup

No dear.. it won't work that way.
If atal Nigeria will split, everyone will go their separate ways and we'll have nothing less than 6 small countries out of the "big" Nigeria.

Yorubas have a clearly defined boundary, we don't need to do attache with any region or force any oil producing community with us. Oduduwa republic will stand.

Igbos in the SS are tenants.. The real owners are the Ikweres, Ijaws etc. They can evict you guys whenever they like.
Highest form of delusion.

Maybe the Yorubas in NC are tenants too and will be thrown out when the minorities in the North want their own country.

Yorubas in places like Offa, Oyun etc of Kwara and the Okuns of Kogi will all be asked to go back to Ibadan where they came from.

It's really pathetic that even you that your own people are instructing to drink green hydraulic soup and stop claiming Igbo, Asa or DBanj, because they doubt your claims to their ethnicity, is also the same victim deciding who is NigerDelta or not based on their opinion that does not suit your argument.

Rather pathetic. A victim also victimizing.

I will continue to ask, why does the Igbo believe there are in a position to decide who is truly SS/NigerDelta or not?

Nigeria has long liberated those minorities from the Igbo grip. If a man says he is Oron tribe, who is the Igbo to decide if he is or not?
As it stands now, the minority Igbo in Delta or Rivers are the ones in the grip of the SS/NigerDelta.
The Igbos will always have a say in SS/ND as long as there are Igbos there.

Maybe a readjustment of the boundary back to what it was before the 1976 adjustment could put a stop to it. But until then the entire Igbos will always have a say in whatever happens to our people in SS. Kapish!

95% of Nigerians have heard and know where Niger delta is. Whether igbos are there changes nothing. There are many tribes there too. It is very distinct from the south east. South south is Edo, Rivers state, Delta state, Akwa ibom state, Bayelsa state, and cross river state. The real Niger Delta is Delta state, Akwa ibom state, Rivers state and Bayelsa. Imo state, Ondo state and Abia state where only included in Niger delta by Obasanjo as oil producing states, they are not real Niger delta in the sense of it
Whether Igbos are in Niger Delta changes nothing really just like u stated but it's mischievous of u guys to deliberately exclude mentioning Igbos when talking about Niger Delta as if they ain't there.

And point of correction, the real geographical ND are present day Delta, Rivers and Bayelsa States. Akwa Ibom isn't by virtue of their location.

Historically and cartographically, it consists of present-day Bayelsa, Delta, and Rivers States. In 2000, however, Obasanjo's regime included Abia, Akwa-Ibom, Cross River State, Edo, Imo and Ondo States in the region.

I am from SS and pro one Nigeria, but sincerely Nigeria need restructuring. We can't continue like these. If Biafra succeed which I hope not. SS will definitely follow and remember we have the oil, is much easier for us to get foreign supports, we can easily trade oil for weapons. I think SS have more weapons than the Biafrans.

Now you know why I unsubscribed from Saharatv.

Mr Rudolph aka. Dr. Damages conveniently ommited several parts of history.

I stopped reading line for line after he subliminally injected the false notion that the northern coup "just happened". The rise up against the Igbo was not unprovoked, but Mr. Rudolph does not feel this is important.

He ignores the bitter truth that the many years Nigeria has suffered under the rule of the military was a result of the first coup in Nigeria.

Nonetheless, we understand the rhetoric behind this article. His omission of the events that led to the second coup in Nigeria, sends a strong signal to anyone who started reading his article 'objectively'.
You are attributing the January 1966 coup which is supposedly an "Igbo coup" as the reason for what we are all presently going through in Nigeria, right?

Now can u tell us why there was UPCAISM in SW in 1964 against the Igbos?

What about the 1945 massacre of Igbos in Jos and that of Kano in 1953? These were even before independence.

Can u give a reasonable explanation for these?

No tribe in Nigeria has written tons of letter to UN but Igbos. Their voice is adorned with cries of victimisation. They are the loudest and the most cowardly of the more than 250 ethnic groups in Nigeria. what a yeye tribe!.
They alleged that history was stabbed in the back yet couldn't retort with a truer version. They think they can take enlightened Nigerians for their misguided kids who have been bastardized with lies & revisionism.
The North is really guiding through well, they called for UN attention and You have taken a bold step in that regard but for you to raise an unfounded alarm of genocidal attempt against the North who have always call for a non-violent exodus.
One begin to wonder what is so special about the parasitic North and the under-developed SW that the Ibos have refused to vacate these regions.
Let's hope your legislators and political leaders join forces with you and put UN under considerable pressure. We join our faith with yours but please for the umpteenth time, stop the blackmailing.
Young man they are not obligated to teach u history. If u want to know what happened and why that 1st coup took place go and read "Why We Struck" by Ademoyega, one of the three that masterminded the coup.

Ur unwillingness to read is what has still kept u in this ignorant state of urs.

this people are just thoughtless. they have been screaming let us go let us go. now that they have been given a way out they want protection and referendum. silly folks
Don't u think they are more intelligent than u? They left in the 1967 without any constitutional backing and what happened? Army was sent to their door. If u truly want them to go then u will help them to have a referendum included into the constitution. U can then seat back and watch whether they'll go or not after that is done.

Always take time to think before u post trash
