Further to what was discussed, the reason for the divergence between the official rate and blackmarket rate is due to the demand for dollars. Of course dollars have become more scarce due to the reduced revenue from our crude oil exports.

If the oil price was to rebound over night (although highly unlikely) to a 2014 summer-high of $115 pb (per barrel) then the dollar scarcity will be eased and the divergence between the rates would reduce.

This is why it hurts to use your UK card when in Naij. I had can relate with your pain because I got something like N360-380 to £1, but when I ran out of money in my GT account, my UK barclays card was charging me in the region of N283.1, give-or-take.

Vis-a-vis when I was in Nigeria during 2013 and 2014, the gap between the official and blackmarket was a lot lower. Didn't hurt as much whichever card I chose to use.

I helped my sister to buy something online over here with her GTB card on Saturday, her bank charged her at the 435 rate, she had expected it to go at the CBN rate, well she was very surprised, she decided to cancel the order since it almost bled her dry - the rate made it go exceedingly over budget. If I was getting the Nigerian Black Market rate on my UK card, I'd be golden, I'd be Queen, I'd stroll into Nigeria feeling like Elizabeth II. The current rate still works in my favour though, if I decide to use my UK card when I visit. We rely on oil & dollars too much in Nigeria. Oh well, I'll just keep an eye out when I visit Nigeria & be a bit more conscious when I use my Zenith card over here, before the exchange rate finishes my money.

These Tories and their wahala. They're now using immigrants as scapegoats, how can they lawfully deport people who legally came into their country because they're not earning a certain amount. They might as well put their citizens and EU/EEA migrants who're also earning poorly in prison or deport them. The Home Office goes out of its way to stress actual legal non-EU migrants instead of tackling their benefit fraud system and tax evaders more aggressively. Then they'll have the audacity to increase MPs wages, while freezing other public workers pay & messing up the NHS with unnecessary reforms, while the minimum wage only increases by 20p with the energy and railway corporations bleeding us dry.

Thanks for the explanation, so essentially the banks are charging us Black Market rates because it's profitable. I honestly don't even check my account anymore, since I don't want to depress myself whenever my Zenith card decides to work over here. The annoying thing is if I decide to use my UK card when I'm in Naija, I'll obviously be charged the official rate.

So why aren't the banks charging the CBN rate?

It's a tv series, it's not a movie. A film is certainly not recorded in one-take, that would be one interesting film if it was a feature length film. The only general term the word movie holds is "moving picture". If you had used that explanation, then your argument would have been valid. Because technically, every video is a moving picture (AKA movie). In fact, if you had checked an actual proper dictionary, one of its definitions of a movie would be "a cinema film".

Uncharted 4, I'm literally itching to play that game. I might actually buy it at launch. With The Division, I've to be online all the time, TD has more in common with Far Cry, you've an overall story with side quests. Uncharted follows a linear story, it's not an open world game, it has no side quests whatsoever. The thing with The Division is that you basically have the same missions/side missions in each map.

UPDATE: Basically I'm judging this from the time I tested it (I can now legally say that) & the public beta. I did enjoy it during both incidents, but I did find that it would become very repetitive after a while, it's grinding at its grinding-est. If you're playing by yourself, you'll probably get bored, it's best playing with friends.

To Be sincere the Series has lost some steam, I had high hopes for the movie it just turns out to be another Cop drama series. Who Needs Another Cop drama investigative series we have series like Limitless(nzt) and Scorpion just to mention a few already on such series. The Producers are just too Lazy IMO.

Fair enough, the police procedural genre is very saturated, even the weirdo/gifted/crazy/annoying person (AKA consultant, asset etc) partnered with the typical police officer/detective is also saturated.

I was about to say that I doubt if he'll do that(make Bellarke canon) but I also doubted that he'll kill off Lexa so I can't trust that he wouldn't do that.

On a side note, can you recommend good fan fics for me? I read one sometime ago, it was really nice, the best I've come across so far. The title is "Breath me". I don't like to read the crossovers, I prefer the ones that give me that "the 100" feeling. But if there's a crossover that you feel is really good, I'll love to try it. I get my fan fics from archiveofyourowndotorg.

I've heard good things about Chrmdpoet's this heart, fossilized and silent (once was tender and once was violent)...yeah I know that's a long ass title...but I expect it to be good. I enjoyed her swan queen fics/ficlets when she used to write those. Oh and it's not a crossover or an AU fic, it's canon divergent - it's practically her own version of season 3, it starts 3 days after Clarke's self exile.

Yup, it's a live video streaming app. Personally, I'm a rather happy go lucky fangirl, when writers fail, I know I can always find solace in fanfiction. Sometimes, I even write a better story in my head. Lord knows I've actually read some really good fanfics that have surpassed several tv shows. For most of the fans, it's more of a representation thing with a lot of the fans, the lesbian death trope is an existing trope in tv land. In fact, the accidental stray bullet has been done before in Buffy (Tara got shot by a bullet meant for Buffy, then Evil Willow happened - she skinned the mofo alive. Willow was Tara's girlfriend, basically Willow went to the Dark Side^TM). For some, they feel like Jason lured them into a false sense of security, then pulled the rug under their feet. For others, it's simply them not getting to enjoy their moment with their OTP. You know something is wrong, when folks that usually have ship wars (I'm really too old for this s**t) start banding together and are feeling angry and/or remorseful. While people like me saw the signs, and my ass wasn't even watching it live, we felt like her death was inevitable. And finally, we expected Lexa to have a Warrior's death, but she didn't even get that.

Personally, I'll still watch the show, as long as he doesn't do anything stupid, 'cause if he attempts to award Bellamy with Clarke during this season after all the bat guano stupid he has done this season, then I'll be forced to slap Jason on a daily basis till he receives sense.
