Pacific Rim. 9/10. So there goes my sleep.
I love this film die. My biggest regret was not seeing this in the cinema. They kept playing the advert everywhere and I got tired of hearing "...we are cancelling the apocalypse" & just ignored it out of spite. Till, that fateful day in 2013 when a work colleague (at my old place) told me to watch it. Now Pacific Rim* is playing. Sweet.

Oh & Guillermo del Toro is just the ultimate fantasy sci-fy fanboy. I'll watch anything he makes...it will always be visually stunning, that guy's brain must be the best and scariest place to be in...like a combination of the visuals of The Fall (that's the film with Lee Pace not the TV series) & the madness that was that killer's brain was in The Cell...with weird creatures.

No need to shout, we can hear you, now I can't talk for everyone, but I do frequent my local cinema, enough for some of the staff to know what I'd usually order. I rent my internet from my housemate who works in Virgin Media, in fact it's usually music where you can catch me pirating, but even that is rather rare now, since I use Spotify, they're certain artists I would never pirate, 'cause they need the money, while some like Beyoncé don't really need my money, they've minions that will buy anything they put out. I honestly don't know what music is reigning... Now for home videos, yes I'll get a good HD rip (YIFY & co) & I'll have tv shows I really like, but only until I own the Blu-Ray or DVD, then I delete them appropriately. I refuse to spend £20 for a film or the £30+ they ask for TV series, I simply wait for sales. And if you're tweaking the IMEI of your phone, then you're certainly of a higher criminal stock than I ever would be...

You're only shouting because we called you out on your own hypocrisy...You were heralding the cheapness of PC games, yet you pirated & then gloated about your piracy. So abeg, stop shouting, you set yourself up for a good old bashing session, NL gamers simply decided to deliver on what you provided.

Yup, just returned. Very entertaining, it kept me awake (currently on my 31st hour of no sleep). The plot might be clichéd and generic, but I enjoyed it. Solid 7.

Witcher especially, you know how in demand it is even for used.

As in, GAME are selling preowned copies for £27.99 in store (£24.99 online), bearing in mind it was not long ago they were selling it brand new for £24.99. Yankee was not any better, they're still selling it full price, the cheapest I saw was $39.99 preowned on X1 in Target ($49.99 was the 'sale' price).

So quick q what about the desktop owner, who doesn't have a laptop? Shey they would magically carry their PC tower & monitor/tv to their local wi-fi hotspot hang out? Now, you know the reason why you illegally downloaded the games, because you can't simply afford or you refuse to buy the disks...Even though, you yourself have pointed out their cheapness. Plus, if you legitimately bought them from an official online distributor, you wouldn't be able to sell them or loan them out to your friends. Also, what happens to your gamerscore for Games for Windows pirated games?

Now onto the other matter, do not question a gamer's taste in games, the PS3 may no longer be current gen, but it's still a rather pretty sweet beast of a console. There are still gamers who only play retro games (SNES, SEGA etc), why? Because that's what they prefer, especially when you think how difficult some of the older games are. Remember some of those mapless, no save points, no unlimited respawn days... So get off your high horse.

And another thing, you do need a Titan to guarantee that your desktop/laptop would run games for the next 5-8 years on the highest of settings. While console gamers already know their consoles will run games for 10 years, because the games are specifically made for them. Unlike PC, where the AAA games are made for the most powerful graphic defying PCs. Try playing Witcher 3 on low setting on your laptop, while watching your friend playing his on his console...then cry to yourself about how you couldn't afford better specs.

Well, you should have told my cinema to remove all the trailers before the film...Anywho, it gets an 8/10. They've made a film that an average American with a short attention would understand what and how the recession happened.

@moneyallowed, finally sat through The Magicians, oddly enough I didn't fall asleep, even though I'm currently living on fumes. Of course, it has its tropes/cliches, but it has potential and I'm intrigued by what the second half of the pilot has to offer. I don't know if anti-gravity s*x is syfy's new pilot gimmick (it also made an appearance in The Expanse), but na them sabi. Now, I'm off to bed.
