chysam:
Obama once wondered why Buhari has the support of over 80% Nigerians despite the fact that he heard Buhari is an unrepentant former military dictator. His P.A simply told him that Nigerians complain bitterly about unprecedented corruption in the land, and they went back to their history book and realised that only Buhari can fix it.Strong evidences are also beginning to come out about the PDP states governors only being interested in winning their states and secretly canvassing for Buhari underneath.People of Ekiti and Kwara and Ondo states have vowed never to vote for GEJ nor PDP on federal levels.Every single kobo the PDP has spent in those sates is now a complete waste.Oyo,Lagos,Ogun,Edo.Kogi, are all landslides for GMB.My question is in which states will GEJ garner the votes to retain his office without electoral malpractice?
Does the average Nigerian know what APC's economic policies are ? If yes, do they differ in any way from PDP's?
Why is it that so many former PDP members have decamped to APC?
Most importantly is APC capable of disengaging NIgeria from its enslavement to the IMF, World bank and neo liberal economic policies that provide a foundation for the unending corruption in the country and have condemned the average Nigerian to a pauper in his or her own land?

Your thoughts on the above would be much appreciated.

Lol. But who isn't a sell-out to an extent? The hegemony is too big and powerfull for anyone to get against, especially a powerless country like Nigeria. So, you better take the glass half full - and leave those who want it to be half-empty alone.

The crux of the matter is that: the incumbent has to go, and anything will be better than him. If this man can revive just a few institutions, and tweak the system of government a bit, that will go a long way.
Sankara wasn't a sell out neither was Castro or Chavez, is it too much for us to ask for a leader with integrity or is that only meant for others? Are we really a nation of cowards too lazy and greedy to demand for real change as opposed to superficial change. APC is an affiliation of PDP there is no difference between the two, they are puppets of the same imperialists monsters who have enslaved us for over 500 years. Why are we content to keep allowing these people to destroy not only our own destinies but the destinies of future generations?

The incumbent and the incoming are both puppets of western imperialism what is the point of replacing one puppet with another one?
PoliticsRe: Buhari In London, With Tony Blair, Saraki & Amosun by cap28: 2:37pm On Feb 21, 2015
My worst suspicions have now been fully confirmed - Buhari has been given the seal of approval by one of the worlds worst war criminals - Tony Blair - that says it all - any Nigerian who expects anything different under the incoming Buhari regime needs to have a psychiatric assessment. I used to be a Buhari fan because I thought he was the same man that he was 30 years ago, now I realise he is just another sell out.

I know sooner or later you'll be here to give your take on this new development. I'm trying to fix the pieces of this puzzle to get a clear picture. From the look of things APC have succeeded in ccutting a deal with international power brokers aka Multinationals and international banking cartel. Which would see Buhari ushered into power. Now, could it be that Buhari has compromised his standard, and decided to become a puppet to the satanic international banking cartel. What are the implications of this action?
Bros the implications of buhari's actions are that he will remain in office for as long as he likes provided that he does as he is told

My brother, Obasanjo is and will forever remain a stooge of western imperialism therefore what he is doing now does not surprise me

I agree with you - APC has been given the green light to run Nigeria by the international banking cartels and Obasanjo their errand boy is making sure he is on the right side of the fence when the chips fall.

Obasanjo's collaboration with our enemies did not start today, he has been in their pockets for close to 3 decades and he has no intention of changing his stance any time soon. .

I was a keen supporter of Buhari when he first started campaigning but after i did some research and discovered that APC is more or less an affiliate of PDP, i realised i was wasting my time. APC has nothing progressive to offer Nigerians and neither of course has PDP but mark my words, by this time next year Nigerians will be gnashing their teeth and wondering why they bothered to go out and vote for these thieves.
RomanceRe: Its Four Weeks To My Wedding But I Feel Like Running Away With My Ex. Pls Help by cap28: 10:27pm On Feb 16, 2015
Steer clear of both.

The first one is a playa and an opportunist and does not mean well, he has already shown you a glimpse of what life will be like if you marry him. He is also a potential wife beater which should be a complete deal breaker for any sane woman. It seems as if you have issues with low self esteem.

The second one is emotionally unavailable and also has anger issues which are likely to escalate if he doesn't get his way, marriage to such a man will mean having to suppress who you are and pander to his every need, it will be like walking on eggshells 24/7 - can you live like that? If he doesn't get his way he will take his anger out on you violently, he will expect you to be docile and submissive 24/7 - can you do that?

If he is generous as you say he may lavish you with expensive gifts but you will be starved of actual love and affection - isn't it better to have a man who values and respects you rather than a cold distant and emotionless man?

If you marry guy no 1 your life will be filled with misery and pain but you will not fare much better with guy no 2, the main difference is that guy no 2 may provide you with a more comfortable lifestyle - you are young and attractive wait for a good man who will place you on a pedestal and value you - the choice is yours. wink

Another incident of a Nigerian man who murdered his wife in the US, this story sent a chill down my spine:

Man Held in Death of Wife Who Was Dragged Behind Van

September 14, 1996

An Inglewood man who police said roped his wife's body to the rear of his van and dragged it through the streets for more than a mile was arrested Friday on suspicion of murder.

Jude Nwandu, 44, was being held without bail after his arrest about 2:30 a.m.

Police were patrolling near Inglewood Avenue and Buckthorn Street when they saw Nwandu's van pulling his wife's limp body, which was attached to the van at the ankles, authorities said.

The officers chased the car, which sped down the street. The rope broke and the body of Georginia Nwandu, 38, was flung to the side of the road. Jude Nwandu was chased for about a mile before he crashed into a parked car in the 900 block of East La Brea Drive.

Officers were not sure if Georginia Nwandu was dead before she was dragged behind the vehicle, but police said they found a great deal of blood at the couple's condominium on West Buckthorn Street.

Man Charged With Murder in Wife's Death

September 18, 1996

Jude Nwandu, arrested last week on charges of killing his wife and dragging her body behind his van, was charged Monday with one count of murder and one count of felony evasion at his arraignment in Inglewood Municipal Court.

Nwandu, 44, a Nigerian national living in Inglewood, was chased by police last Friday when they saw a body tied at the ankles being dragged behind a van. When they tried to stop Nwandu, he led police on a one-mile chase, officials said.

The coroner's department completed its autopsy on Georginia Nwandu and determined that she died from head trauma and strangulation and had been run over by a car. She apparently died before her body was tied to the van, coroner's spokesman Scott Carrier said.

Nwandu is being held on $1 million bail. The couple's five children, ages 1 through 12, were taken into custody by the county Children's Protective Services department.

Latest on how Nigerian pharmacist killed wife in Florida
♦ Wife's face was battered with baseball bat
♦ Victim's family allege long history of domestic abuse.
♦ Plus details of hubby's family secrets

By Wasiu Sodeinde and Olusesan Ekisola

More facts are now emerging on the family secret history of the Nigerian pharmacist, Olufemi Ademoye who allegedly beat his wife of 18 years to death with baseball bat on June 16 in Tampa Bay, Florida.

A family member of the deceased wife who pleaded for anonymity, told African Outlook that the accused killer may have been haunted by a dark family secret of domestic violence.

The source revealed that the alleged killer had two older brothers who lived in Nigeria. "The first wife of his first brother ran away from her matrimonial home because of incessant battering by her husband while another brother of his was killed by his wife during a fight" the source said, adding that the wife of the deceased brother hit him on the head with a television set in self defence during a domestic fight.

The source also alleged that the accused husband was well known for beating his late wife, Mrs Juliet Lanre Ademoye even during simple arguments.

"Lanre told us (family members) that she was terrified of living with her husband and she moved out of the family house and went to Nigeria sometime early this year" the source hinted, while adding that the late wife did not want to come back to the United States but for the immigration interview she had.

"She was scheduled to attend an immigration interview in the US, that was why she came back" the source said, hinting also that the wife had lived in the US for 17 years as a political refugee. "She had filed for asylum and had come to regularize her papers when she met her untimely death " the source added.

Commenting on the allegation of infidelity labeled against the deceased wife by the family friends who had earlier broken the story to African Outlook, the source said that the allegations were baseless.

"The man is paranoid about people having an affair with his wife, he does not even trust his own friends around his wife. He is very domineering, jealous and highly insecure" the family member added.

On whether the paternity of the only son of the marriage was ever in doubt , the source hinted that the alleged killer went for the DNA test of the son about four years ago "but the result was inconclusive" he said, adding that there was no truth in the African Outlook's earlier story that the pharmacist was not the biological father of the son whom the source claimed is 16 years old, not 17 as earlier reported by the African Outlook.

The source also stated further that the house in which the family lived had been broken into. " I drove past the crime scene yesterday, I saw that the house has been broken into" the source added, hinting that the Odunikan (the wife's) family had decided to give the late Mrs. Ademoye a befitting burial on August 7 in California.

When asked to comment on whether any member of the wife's family had had the opportunity to talk to the accused, the source who was at the court hearing in Florida last Thursday stated that the accused person did not show up at his first hearing " I thought he would show up and I told the police they should let me see him and ask why he could be so heartless as to batter my sister's face beyond recognition with a baseball bat" the source lamented urging that the accused deserved the capital punishment for his action.

African Outlook tried in vain to get family members of the accused or his lawyer to comment on the matter. The cousin of the accused, one Babatunde Ademoye of London who claimed that he spent Christmas with the couple in Tampa in 2003, refused to respond to our emails but he did post a message on his Facebook page on July 14 that says it all 'Anger and rage can really bring disaster and destruction, just realized this.' he wrote.

Oga oo, you are wrong with the "jealousy" and " wanting to commit without getting to know the person" part of your post.
True lovers exhibit some level of jealousy. Though some people pretend they are not jealous, it is only those with multiple partners or who ain't really into their partners that ain't jealous.

Thank you!
Maybe I should have expanded a bit more on the jealousy point and I agree that everyone shows some degree of jealousy when they care for someone. I am actually talking about irrational and extreme jealousy that usually leads to violence. Men who exhibit this kind of behaviour do so not out of love but out of their need to control their victim , so their motivation is very selfish.
Also men who rush into marrying women they barely know are not usually doing it out of love as you can not love someone you do not know, they are usually doing it for an ulterior motive that is likely to only become known to the victim when it might be too late or too embarrassing for the victim to back out of the relationship.

l know it can be disheartening to be in his kind of situation but he should have taken to his friends advice by not going back home, wife dead and him on 25years sentence, what a terrible situation huh.......l feel for the son.... angry
His neighbours say he had difficulty controlling his temper, therefore he should have done everything humanly possible to keep from going to the house until he had got his anger under control.

He is likely to spend the rest of his life in prison as the 25 year sentence is the minimum that he is likely to get.

Very sad - I feel for the teenage son.

United States Based Nigerian Men Are Killing Their Wives: A Case Study

Written by Ken Agu
Monday, 12 July 2010 05:55
Case 1: Barely a month ago , the internet was abuzz with the story of a Nigerian Pharmacist who killed his wife. Olufemi Oladapo Ademoye, 52, ran out of his house at 8615 Villa Largo Drive in north Tampa at 9:50 a.m. and asked a neighbor to call 911. He said his wife, Juliet Ademoye, had a heart attack, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office. But when deputies and rescue crews arrived, they found that the master bedroom and bathroom were covered in blood. Deputies also determined that an aluminum baseball bat was covered with her blood. Juliet Ademoye, 53, was pronounced dead by Hillsborough County Fire Rescue.

Before that was Michael Iheme.

Case 2: On Thursday, July 24, 2008, a 50-year old Nigerian man Michael Collins Iheme shot and killed his 28-year old estranged wife, Anthonia Iheme. Iheme reportedly placed an emergency call to the police after allegedly killing his wife. He was quoted as having told policemen on arrival at the scene of the murder that he had “killed the woman that messed my life up, a woman that destroyed me.”

Eye witnesses said Anthonia was shot as she left work at the Sholom Home West, an assisted-living centre.

Iheme fired at the vehicle. Anthonia’s car then lurched forward, clipped a van, jumped a kerb and rolled down a hill into a fence. Iheme was said to have followed the car down the hill and fired more shots at the car.
When Iheme was arrested at the scene, a semi-automatic handgun was found near his car, police said. The police also found a gun permit inside the car.

Police also said that an hour and a half before the shooting, Iheme went to the day-care centre for their children and left a new emergency contact information, “in case something happened today.”

Case 3: A Nigerian woman was found murdered in a Burtonsville, Maryland, U.S. home she lived with her husband Chidiebere Omenihu and three children. Police responding to a report of an unconscious woman, found the lifeless body of 36-year-old Chidiebere Omenihu Ochulo around 2:30 a.m at their home. There was no sign of her 41-year-old husband, Kelechi Charles Emeruwa and their three children. Mr. Emeruwa was seen washing a blood stained knife according to unconfirmed reports. He was believed to have fled the city with the children.

Police on failing to locate Mr. Emeruwa and the children at their home, commenced a manhunt for the suspect and issued an Amber Alert on the missing children. Amber Alert is a U.S. voluntary partnership program between law-enforcement agencies, broadcasters, and transportation agencies to activate an urgent bulletin in the most serious child-abduction cases. Broadcasters use the Emergency Alert System (EAS) to air a description of the abducted child and suspected abductor.

Police arrested the suspect, 41-year-old Kelechi Charles Emeruwa, on a first-degree murder warrant in the death of his wife. The children were unharmed and taken into custody by police.

Case 4: Mr. Theophilius Ojukwu who is now serving a life sentence in Texas for killing his wife Melvina , allegedly fled to a hotel in Mesquite, a Texan city, with his four children, and called police informing them of the incident. Mr. Ojukwu was arrested that evening and remanded in custody at Lew Sterrett Justice Center.

His lawyer should have fought to make his charge a manslaughter by accepting he did it but didn't plan to
Why all the blatant lies
That may make the judge and jury angry
He had the option of taking his family friend's advice and going to a hotel to "cool down" but instead he went back to the house knowing full well that she would be there and that an altercation was likely to ensue.

Upon reaching the house an argument ensued, did he walk away? No, he stayed and bashed her over the head with a baseball bat and then stabbed her several times - does that sound like his actions were not premeditated?

Below is the newspaper story I read when this case came out
Friendly ,outgoing and hardworking family man with no record of domestic violence
So I have no clue where your story is coming from
If he beat his wife his neighbors would know
Confrontational cam mean anything, you argue with a neighbor who let his dog into your yard,or ask them to stop their kids from walking on your lawn, that could be termed confrontation.
The fact that he had no record of domestic abuse with the police does not mean that he was not abusing his wife behind closed doors. Victims of domestic abuse are known to keep the abuse secret for years as many feel embarrassed to let third parties know that their picture perfect marriage is just a pretense.

It is possible for a woman to be physically abused without neighbours knowing , a slap or kick given randomly behind closed doors may not necessarily escalate into a full blown beating which would attract the attention of neighbours.

I read about this story on a website for Nigerians in the US and a few people commenting knew the couple and attested that the man was very abusive towards her, they also stated that his story about her cheating was made up in order to get him to avoid the death penalty, (penalty for first degree murder in the state of Florida) when I find the link i'll post it for you.

No surprise there, I firmly believe that close to 99% of these Nigerian men that kill their wives have been physically abusing them before.
Very true.

Studies on domestic abuse reveal that the following traits in men indicate that they are likely to go on to become physically abusive to their wives or girlfriends:

jealousy
controlling behaviour
wanting to commit to a relationship without getting to know the person properly
unrealistic expectations
isolation of the victim
blaming the victim for their problems
hypersensitive attitude
not showing compassion or empathy to children or any vulnerable group
forcing the victim to have s.ex when the victim is not in the mood
being verbally abusive
Jekyll and Hyde personality type

People who know the man say he regularly abused his wife and treated her like a dog. Domestic abuse is so prevalent in Nigeria and many of th3ese men think that they can get away with treating their wives like slaves in civilised countries like the US, if he wasn't happy in his marriage divorce was always an option rather than beating her up regularly . He is very fortunate to have got himself a good lawyer who pleaded that it was a crime of passion and that he acted in a moment of temporary insanity, had he not used that as his defence he would have been on death row by now looking forward to death by lethal injection.
Now he joins the infamous group of Nigerians in the US who murder their wives for whatever reason.

By the way I don't support infidelity but killing another human being especially your own wife is an abomination.

CelebritiesRe: Muna Obiekwe's Sister Reveals The Truth About His Death by cap28: 5:38pm On Feb 12, 2015
The best kept secret of Nollywood actor Muna Obiekwe who passed away secretly at a specialist hospital in Festac Lagos, Sunday January 18th, 2015 has been exposed.

This was made known by his godmother and fellow actress Vera Kanu (pictured below). In an exclusive chat with icampus, Vera Kanu said Muna Obiekwe in his lifetime was a chain smoker and an alcoholic. She said his addiction contributed to his kidney damage.

Vera said Muna lost his parents a while ago in a fatal car accident and since then he has been using alcohol and smoke to console himself. In the process, Muna reportedly consulted a doctor who suggested that he should do at least 20 kidney dialyses to re-energize his kidney.

He was then told to avoid alcohol.. Vera said that the actor didn’t quit drinking until the time of his death.

Vera continued: “I was with him to the last hour. He was to do up to 20 dialyses; the doctor said if the dialysis improved his condition, the worse would certainly be over. He will be okay only if he stays away from alcohol but you know our artiste,” she concluded.“the dialysis was expensive for Muna.

He was doing two in a week sometimes. And he would need blood injection on each occasion. Each appointment was costing him between N250, 000 to N300, 000; money he did not really have to spend. His health was eating deep into his purse yet Muna refused to go cap in hand begging for alms. He was a private guy who didn’t want the press or his colleagues to feast on his pain.

“He was managing it on his own. As a matter of fact, he has been managing it for a while until Ejiro Okurame and I came on board to help. We were combining resources to help him but there was very little we could do to save him. We had to enlist the help of Patience Ozokwor and Kanayo O. Kanayo (KOK) at a point. They rendered the help they could until he died. Vera Kanu says Muna Obiekwe Lived A Very Private Life

“The guy was private. He kept to himself a lot and most importantly, kept his private life private; for instance, many people did not even know he was married with two children. Such was his life. He didn’t want press or his colleagues to start prying. He was particularly afraid of the press, hence his shutting his colleagues out of his pain. He knew if some Nollywood people got to know about it, the press would also get to know. He refused to beg to save Nollywood’s image, he in-turn, lost himself.”

“Everybody in the industry knows Muna drinks a lot; even when he’s shooting in the North, he has a way of finding alcohol. He fell into it, after he lost his parents in a ghastly motor accident. ‘As a matter of fact, he was supposed to be in that car with them but by stroke of luck, he wasn’t and was spared. Afterwards, Muna took solace in liquor but that never affected his job. He was just like Sam Loco; he could drink the whole sea but when he hears the director shout ‘action,’ he gets into character. Muna was a method character despite his flaws’’ ----------------------------------------

As a fake practising doctor, na high blood pressure make the first kidney fail? Let them tell us wetin make the first kidney to fail, before hbp do the second one
I have a feeling it may have been the fact that he had issues with alcohol, drinking too much can lead to high blood pressure which in turn can cause kidney disease. People who know him said that he relied heavily on alcohol in order to get over the unfortunate deaths of his parents.

Your kidneys filter harmful substances from your blood. One of these substances is alcohol. Alcohol can cause changes in the function of the kidneys and make them less able to filter your blood. In addition to filtering blood, your kidneys do many other important jobs. One of these jobs is keeping the right amount of water in your body. Alcohol affects the ability of your kidneys to do this. When alcohol dehydrates (dries out) the body, the drying effect can affect the normal function of cells and organs, including the kidneys.

Too much alcohol can also affect your blood pressure. People who drink too much are more likely to have high blood pressure. And medications for high blood pressure can be affected by alcohol. High blood pressure is a common cause of kidney disease. More than two drinks a day can increase your chance of having high blood pressure.

Sounds like he died because:
a) he wasn't taking his medication and as a result his kidneys got worse and he didn't have the resources to fund an emergency kidney transplant operation.

What an impressive resume'.

While real women are clamoring for empowerment, the only selling point you have on a former stripper is the string of men
that used and dumped her. Interesting!

Feminists over to you

Amber Rose: My family think they're better than black people

MODEL AMBER Rose has revealed that some of her family chose to miss her wedding to rapper Wiz Khalifa because of their prejudice against black people.

The mother-of-one, who loves to show off her womanly curves, shared personal stories of 'shadism' in an interview for the Oprah Winfrey Network programme, Light Girls.

"With my family, they feel like they're more superior or better than an African American because we're Creole and we have culture and that's something I battle with most of my life," she explained.

"It's more of the older people in my family."

Rose goes on to suggest that some of her family didn't attend her wedding because she married a black man. And even though they divorced a year later, to this day, that reality still upsets her tremendously.

"It's such a sensitive subject that it's hard to explain yourself without sounding mean or bitter or angry, but I am," she shared.

"I'm angry that my family is like that and they want to pass so bad that they raise my mom and my uncles and my aunts to not fully know their culture."

The couple, who have a baby son together, filed for divorce last year after claims of infidelity from both sides.

African Americans are obsessed with skin shade and many of them look down on African people simply because of our dark skin, I bet D banj had no idea that Amber Rose's family think they are better than black people. Would Amber Rose date dark skinned African Americans with no money - I don't think so grin grin
