PoliticsRe: Which Tribe Or Region Will Suffer Most If Nigeria Splits? by capricon: 10:06am On Oct 12, 2013
Lets stop this tribal hatred as it wont do us any good. I go to Ebonyi, anambra i see lots of hausa peeps. I go to portharcourt and jos, i see a lot of yoruba peeps. I go to lagos i see lots of igbo peeps. I go abroad i see lots of NIGERIANS. So all those claiming tribal or regional superiority should stop being narrow minded. We are all flesh and blood and will always have differences but we should always try to work things out because we all need each other.

Even if Nigeria breaks up we will still depend on each other just like every country depends on others for trade. Nigeria does not drink its Oyel.

If each region works hard, none will suffer. Isreal today is one of the most densely populated countries in the world and has one of the most 'barren lands' yet it is not suffering. Wealth is in the mind.

Christianity EtcRe: I Love Her But The Spirit Using Her I Hate! by capricon: 2:21pm On Apr 04, 2013
Nothing like mammy water spirit. Forget about any deliverance cos it won't help. U lost ur job and so did a thousand other people. Ur business went sour because u weren't good at it or u r not trained in business. So its if u truely love ur wife then u must stay with her.
Christianity EtcRe: Should A Student Pay Tithe? by capricon: 6:57pm On Mar 09, 2013
I'm a christian though not the dogmatic type but I feel even the most faithful bible reading Christians have been soo brainwashed that they don't know what they are reading or simply just ignore it. Well to some extent I wouldn't blame them because the bible is full of contradictions. To be a true christian, i believe one must refer to the old testament for historical purposes only and follow the teachings of Christ in the new testament. Therefore Tithing has no place in Christianity only voluntary giving. It is obvious that pastors will emphasize on the old testament tithes to boost revenue. But even the old testament tithes require that we make a feast with the 10 percent of our earnings and only give our 10 percent to the church once every 3 years but bear in mind that there are several other prescribed ways of tithe giving in the old testament. In conclusion I will like to appeal to Christians to follow the new testament and forget Judaism as in old testament.

PoliticsRe: Religious Violence Erupts In Bichi, Kano by capricon: 9:41pm On Nov 22, 2012
The ancient arab way has always been the way of the dagger. Even before Islam most of the desert plains where ruled by pockets of tribal warlords always at war at the slightest provocation. It was a cultural/ ethic thing. This also continued with the rise of Islam using the sword to unify arabs and convert non Arabs to Islam. So therefore to the best of my knowledge, it is first a cultural thing then morphed into religious. Coming to Nigeria, the Muslims conquered and ruled most of the north and instilled most of their cultural norms i.e the dagger and short temper dress mode etc and also dogma. This would explain why the southwest muslims are not as violent because most converted voluntarily and not by the conquering swords of the sultan. The Yorubas retained their own cultural ways but voluntarily embraced Islam. Then there is the political and economic twist to it because it is easier to take up alms in the name of Allah when some people are seeking power, hungry or just aggrieved because they will surely get sympathy and therefore follower-ship. Religion is the opium of the people-karl max
