Boss13: Keep your emotions in check. An attribute of leadership is to discern logically. Though I suspect you being an employer of labour (you use the term loosely). Go to Financial times, and if you have paid your subscription - type employer of labour. I guess you would drop the term. For me you are self employed.

Yes I am an employee. I am happy with that and the experience is invaluable. Would help me a lot when I decide to float a company.

Mr. Sunny you are of no value to the country. Infact you are worse off. You buy and sell that's what you do (A trader). You make the demand for dollar increase and that devalue our naira. You are the reason Sanusi has refused to reduce to drop the interest rate because the only innovation you think of is to collect money, remit to your manufacturers, get products and sell to your consumers. You do not understand supply chain management, production line-ups and set-ups, quality control checks, value chain management. You might even be responsible for infiltrating our market with fake drugs.

Now Mr. Sunny - what form do you feel for your employees when you want to do their PAYE remittance and what are the content inside the form? What is the current corporate tax rate and when do you remit corporation tax? These are the kind of question we ask people like you who claim to be providing jobs.
Bloody employee shut up and listen to employers of labour. Mr know it all

djfaithy: . Hey oga, where do you work, what's ur salary, are you really happy about how things are going in this country, don't you think if our economy is nothing to write home about, the minister should be ask, don't you think she's not suppose to be there, if she can't asnwer a simple question from an ordinary Nigerian that want to know more about the economy of his country, then she should just resign, if she doesn't want to be criticized, she should just do the needful and resign, u guys keep causing more problems for this your "OUR CHILDREN" thinking you are taking side or protecting their interest, well let's wait and see how far you can go with these blind arguments that keep portraying you guys as educated illiterates and enemies of the Nigeria.
Listen i know things are bad but im 100% sure its not becos of finance minister. I know things are bad becos of elected politicians who embezzle funds made available to them to put thing's in place. And for the other question I lost my job but you don't see me blaming anyone, i had to do something for myself and my family

Sunny_bobo: Speak for yourself. You can't be in your closet and be naive enough to know that others are not seeing improvements in their lives. Majority of the people I know have seen improvements in their lives since 1999. New buildings are springing up here and there in my village mostly in families that couldn't afford three square meals less than 2 decades ago.
Don't mind the lazy bum waiting for finance minister to feed him and his family
Sure P fund is not the way to move Nigeria forward I can remember my late uncle shouting on my family meeting on way forward for us is to "teach u how to fish " not to fish for us any more, the sure p fund is maximum of 18k to these individuals wat can it do for a growing youth if not a pair of jean Tshirt and a little for the wallet. Please I don't know hw this my suggestion can go so fair, for now nigeria needs no money to correct our mistakes cuz money geared the mistakes @ the first plz (corrution) the should be grass root initiatives creative minds put in place to super head the the grass root exploit grass root potentials the youths should show wat they ar good at on grass root base and not handled right there in abuja on grass root level Local govt areas no funding yet but super headed by creative minds (innovators) u will see ppl bringing out there best knowing fully well that there potentials wil be funded, to be sincre, I neva new I hv potentials in me till I met deadluck. Lost my first job , second I did resign due to tribal sentiment, walked up to a friend ask for 50k to inco-operate a company which I ont hv capital base for but thanks to God we feed from it now. To candid, Nigeria is too social driven the federal body should regulate the entertainment industries the youths 60 percent time is eaten up by socials to bad for the economy, I watch the white man and non citizens of nigeria that ar based in nigeria work hard even saturdays, my job takes me round companies and I see all this , and I fill bad about it . Do u know dey hv funs too? But on minima. There is some thing they call MAN-hOUR it is a catalyst for growth of the Economy of a nation is not negotiable once it is not use properly the econmy suffers it. The FEderal govt should stop throwing those stipens to the youth and come up with a grass root agender on hw to bring out the best from our youths without funding but place a target for best minds and creative once and u will see every one will want to bringout their best to get to the target cuz they know @ the best, the fed govt. Can them fund them to grow the business. The social sector should be controlled it is over-taking our nomal daily life tanx.[/quotea]
Pls nigerians should listen to this guy and learn.

What is Economy? Is it not suppose to help people enjoy an overall good living standard through policy formulation and implementation?

Is she not at present occupying the head of that economy ?
Mr man i know exactly what im saying. Okay answer this question for me. Why is it that nigerian economy is growing yet nothing to show for it? Let me tell you what i think

The economy is growing on paper because the economists are doing a good job and its not showing in the lives of people because politicians aren't doing their part only embezling.

She has done her job well according to her job description as indicated by all indices. Mr man everyone home and abroad knows that the economy is doing well

The coordinating minister of the economy has nothing to do with the living standard of Nigerians.

Nigerians never cease to amaze me. Please someone answer me. What has a minister of finance got to do with improving the living standards of ordinary nigerians?
The sure p funds disbursement, what did your governors do with them.
Instead of people to attack their governors, health ministers, power, education they are attacking a finance minister.
The government can never put food on your tables except ofcourse you want handouts and food stamps. Go and work and make your lives better.
PoliticsRe: Is A One, United Nigeria Unachievable? by capricon: 3:36pm On Dec 17, 2013
Am i the only one that has noticed that hausas in general dont really mix up with the rest iof nigerians. A typical example is that they hardly intermarry with southerners.plus inter tribal clashes happen mostly up north. So i really wonder why peeps say they're the most hospitable tribe. I have nothing against them personally but i think they should do more to advance the unity of Nigeria if they truely believe in it.

Scorpionking: the Namibian immigration law is already superb. As an American citizen Its easier to get any citizenship i want .I applied for the namibian citizenship legally not go through sahara desert to europe or lying at American embassy in lagos to give birth in the U.S and UK ETC ,Namibia is not as corrupt as Nigeria, everything was legal and professional with no bribes.
are you surprised that there was no bribe, fraud ,tribalism and corruption involved?
Why not stay in ur shit hole USA? Why go to Namibia. After all america boasts of being the greatest country in the world. Don't you ever talk of arrogance or chest beating because your country is the best at it.

Southern Africa is the place that I love,my heart is in Namibia, its a punishment to my soul to not be there. The U.S is a good country but my heart is not here. I have been to Namibia and I know that's where I want to spend the rest of my life.
I want to live and die in Namibia.
I hope Namibia tightens their immigration laws so they let migrants like u out just like u suggested for USA

Omo_Tier1: FYI, I do not live in Benin, that is my homeland, and you are an immigrant. The fact that you are living in another's place as an immigrant is an indication that your place is no good for you.

Unlike your Anambra government, Edo State government has a functional and ever updated website and these you can see the roads that tax payers have constructed through visionary leadership.

I dare you again, show me one road Obi has constructed that you can compare to the Fuga or Igarra ossosso road Oshiomhole has constructed. Show me one road from Anambra has good as the one Oshiomhole is constructing that cuts across over 200 villages in Orhiowhon in Edo State, including Abudu.

Like I said, We have not arrived yet but are making good progress and that is why we will never again allow bad leadership in Edo State, and you lots can glory in your corruption and worship your looters.
You see how daft you are? You said u don't live in your homeland that means you live in another mans place yet you just accused someone of doing the same thing you are doing

Show me one place in Anambra that looks like this:
This is the height mental backwardness. So a roundabout is a sign of development? my goodness! Anyways i know majority of my edo friends don't think like you
PoliticsRe: Obasanjo Accuses Jonathan Of Promoting Corruption by capricon: 10:54am On Dec 11, 2013
funshint: Obj might not be a saint but what he said are very valid. GEJ has been practically silent to corruption. Its gotten so worse that anytime anybody is accused of corruption, some disgruntled aides of the president will turn it into tribal war. During OBJs era a lot of heads rolled due to the anti-curruption campaign of those days starting with people from his region; S.M Afolabi(National I.D card scam), Tafa Balogun(former IG), Bode George(NPA scam), Sunday Einhdero, Chief Babalola&Femi Fani Kayode(former Ministers of Aviation)... Nobody raised alarm of tribal victimization because the Yorubas don't condole corruption even if you're the son of a king but under GEJs administration tribal sentiments has been at its peak when people are accused of corruption esp. from the SE of the country. GEJ only claims to fight corruption on paper. It's even a big dent on the president that he still has someone like Stella Oduah as a cabinet minister after the body of allegations against her. This is thesame President who didn't waste time in removing the Court of Appeal President(Justice Ayo Salami) just because he wasn't working for the interest of his party. Jonathans tenure will go down to be the most corrupt in the history of this country. How did we get here??!! I weep for this country!!!
Pls mention all corruption scandals under GEJ administration and tell me how many of them are "especially from the SE". Thanks for your anticipated response
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by capricon: 9:27pm On Dec 09, 2013
Not to forget consolidating on real estate. The state is already deriving revenue from it so it should be continous smiley
PoliticsRe: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by capricon: 9:24pm On Dec 09, 2013
Enugu state needs to build on what it has already got i.e service sector. It must not have a thousand factories churning out goods for consumption. Enugu state has schools which should be ultra modernized to support the envisioned upcoming service sector. And the state should encourage the best minds in the state by providing them with loans/ grants, office spaces and other incentives as long as they remain and operate in the state. What are these services that i speak of?

1. Financial. Enugu should provide strong and innovative financial services to the region and Nigeria as a whole and beyond. How? By setting up and adequately funding a state bank of industry( or whatever it is called). This bank should provide loans to any Enugu based entrepreneur who wants to establish in Enugu state

2. Health . Enugu should create the evironment for the building of world class health facilities and im not just talking about building large hospitals, im talking of building specialized health facilities for medical tourism such that if one has a heart problem, they go to Enugu. If one has a liver problem they go to Enugu, what about kidney or cancer treatment? Where should they go?.........ENUGU.

3. Chemical and pharmaceuticals. It should be the place where industrial and pharceutical chemicals and ingredient/reagents should be produced and sold to factories and health/research facilities within and outside Enugu.

4. Info tech. give oportunities to software developers to come up with ideas and form companies in Enugu state. Give them office spaces free of charge and make sure their headquaters are in Enugu

5 Electronic components and chip making. If taiwan and indonesia could do it so can we.

6 Agro processing. Enugu state and the south has Two God given agro products more precious than gold and crude oil. The palm tree and cassava. I believe if we can process these two products alone to obtain maximum benefits from them then we will be richer than oil rich Rivers state.

Viva Enugu
viva SE
viva Nigeria.
