Crime / How Do We Regain A Hacked Whatsapp Account by CaptainGo: 9:36am On Mar 22
Hello guys,

A family member's WhatsApp account was hacked yesterday.

The hackers still have possession of the account, and she has been unable to log in since yesterday.

The hackers have been calling her contacts to extort money from them.

Please, as a matter of urgency, how can we regain access to the WhatsApp account.

Thanks

ps. We have been trying to reach WhatsApp customer care.

NASS, a den of corruption by a gang of unarmed pen robbers

Olufemi Adegbulugbe
Member, Federalist Majority

“A total of 7,447 projects culminating in N2.24tn were inserted in the 2024 budget by the National Assembly, an ugly trend that was accelerated in the 10th National Assembly. The National Assembly
has indiscriminately added projects to the budget, with most projects having no national significance but narrowed to personal interests.”

“Under Tinubu, The federal lawmakers raised their allocation from N197 billion to N344 billion, their highest ever in the history of the National Assembly.

Ridiculous line items include
A. NASS Printing press. N3 billion
B. NASS Library. N12.1 billion
C. NASS Library book procurement N3 billion
D. NASS e library N225 million
E. Senate Car Park. N3 billion
F. Reps Car Park. N3 billion
G. NASS recreation center N4 billion
H. NASS Hospital Project. N15 billion

The NASS budget is twice the total allocation to all 26 Federal Universities.

Observations
Note the duplication in line items B, C and D. Ie Nass Library, Nass e-library and Nass Library book procurement.

Note the same cost for Senate car park (109 members) and Reps car park (360 member. In other words, a 109 cars capacity car park costs the same as 360 cars capacity car park.
Does this mean that Julius Berger designed and built the NASS complex without adequate car park capacity?

N15 billion for NASS hospital project is enough to build one one primary health care center in every Local Government area in Nigeria.
The new State house clinic /hospital is available for use of NASS members so why waste N15 billion on a new hospital for only 500 people. Please also note the running and overhead cost of this hospital when it becomes operational.

It is heartbreaking that NASS increased their allocation by N147 billion in a budget that is running a deficit financed by external borrowing. It is sad!
With current inflation, the cost of these items has tripled.
All the above items (A-H) are of no strategic fit or strategic alignment, purely selfish and personal interests where the contracts are awarded to companies belonging to NASS members.

So where do we go from here?
Show me your friends and i will tell you who you are. It is very clear that the choice of Akpabio, a corruption guru, as Senate President was a strategic objective by President Tinubu to institutionalise corruption in the National Assembly.
Our lawmakers have turned contractors.
Our lawmakers are only interested in looting of the treasury.
I will be ashamed if i were a member of the NASS or addressed as a Senator or HoA member. But we have no shame and we also do not know the definition of shame.
Regarding the question “Where do we go from here?”, i do not have an answer but i know that Nigeria cannot continue like this.
President Bola Tinubu does not mean well for Nigeria. I am convinced beyond reasonable doubts.
Good evening.

1-CCTV in all Petrol station and Major areas

2-Anybody getting in a suspicious vehicle should take a picture of the car with the license plates visible. Send the pictures to a police database (Created by the police ) or to a close family members or a group chat.
That way the same car and plates cannot be used twice. Either they have to repaint the car or change the plates. Prevents the one chance kidnappers to use the same vehicle every night.

3-Better still the driver, will text the passenger with his license plates number/phone number, the intending passenger will forward the text to a trusted person. If anything happens to the passenger, the trusted person has the phone number and license plates of the driver. This takes 5 minutes. All drivers should display their numbers for passengers to crosscheck.

4-Make every commercial vehicle carry a barcode sticker. Passengers scan it with their phone before they enter. Scan is uploaded simultaneously, if the person is declared missing. I can tell you the last vehicle there were in under 5 mins.

5-You can geo-fence your phone, If you travel from gwarimpa to wuse everyday. The day you travel outside this zone to Suleja, your phone will automatically send your location texts every 5 mins to a pre-designated number till the phone dies. If you are kidnapped, just ask the kidnappers to turn on your phone, so you can get the number to call for ransom, once you turn on phone it will send location to pre-determined number immediately.

There are so many cheap technology, to curb kidnap and one chance, Get a few technology inclined people together, they will come up with a solution in less than 24 hours.[/b]

I feel very very very sad about this news. I don't understand why the Government is forcing binance to delist the naira from the exchange.
It's a very very very bad idea,I have repeatedly said it on Nairaland that Government should regulate the activities of binance, but I totally disagree with removing the naira on the platform.
Although some people may disagree but sincerely the naira has been a bit stable in the last 2 weeks since Government forced binance to stop allowing the naira to trade on the exchange.
I was very critical of the modus operandi of binance and how it kept speculating on the value of the naira,If not for Government intervention,I'm sure the Naira would have been more than 2000 naira on the exchange.
Now to how it will affect Nigerians, the CBN governor himself said 26 billion dollars was traded through binance last year, that's a very huge and staggering figure,I dare say it's just a little less than the annual budget of Nigeria,in essence binance is almost becoming a country in its own.
The money traded on binance is almost equal to our foreign reserve,no industry in Nigeria can compete for dollar demand like that traded in Binance.
Government must understand the crypto market with players like binance are helping Nigerians in meeting up some of its dollar need, and stopping the use of the naira on binance will lead to the downward spiral of the naira.
Let us assume the 26 billion dollar traded on binance is true,I believe half must be demand from genuine people who want to maybe send or receive money.
Government must understand this demand for crypto can't be wished away,if these people decide to source for their usd in the forex market, the CBN will never be able to meet up with the supply, and I'm sure even Mr Cardoso knows this.
Nigeria doesn't have any Dollars right now to be used in meeting demand from crypto buyers.
I advise Mr Cardoso to have a rethink, this is a policy somersault from his office, early this year he liberalised the use of crypto trading in Nigeria, now he's reversing the policy.
I appeal to the Minister of Digital Economy, the NSA, Minister of Finance and the Minister of Youth Affairs have a round table on how to regulate the use of Crypto exchanges in Nigeria.
This policy will Affect mostly young Nigerians, pls don't make it harder on them.
God bless Nigeria

Dear op

Anything that is not related to farming
Run for your life
Run from real estate

Run from anything petroleum business

Agriculture planting of cash crops is free

Sunlight is free
Rainfall is free
Photosynthesis is free

If you don’t know where to start

Rent an acre of land ( yes they rent land sometimes ) don’t buy it ooo cos I had just told you real estate is a scam the economy is Nieves is terrible . You will just be sinking in money you can use for something else

As I was saying rent an acre of land
For experiment sake plant around 1,000-3000 tuber of yams

Note down how much it costs you to rent the land

How much it costs you to weed or maintain the yam farm

Yam takes 6 months to mature , harvest the yam and take your 5,000 tubers harvested to the market

Because you rented the land you will notice you haven’t really spent much

After you’ve had sold the yam , decide whether it’s real estate you want to do or continue with what you just did

You will notice something yourself that would be glaring to you and it will be very glaring

Growing of cash crops is like growing Gold inside the soil for free

Like someone said be it palm oil , yam , cassava
Cash crops are tuber crops . You don’t even need up to the 10m you have

A small percentage is enough to use to test the waters

Pls anything that is not agriculture related run from it oooo

Wish you all the best

It’s laziness that is worrying Nigerian youths

If not rainfall is free sunshine is free, a lot of people have acres of land THIER families owe in the village.

Yet some people keep roaming about in the city looking for 70k a month job wearing suite and tie .

Like I have said earlier op . Keep 80 percent of your money locked in a dollar account or something so it won’t devalue
Use the 20 percent to do the cash crops I have just advised you on

One thing about growing cash crops is

If it’s 10,000 tubers of yam you Managed to plant that’s how much money x how much a tuber is currently selling you will make

If it’s 20,000 tubers like that X 2500 naira per tuber is how much you will make

The choice is yours

If you like go and do anything else except do what God has already made free

So this is why we have the saying what you sow is what you reap

So the ball is in your court

Business / Re: Oil Combination For Profitable Bar Soap Making by CaptainGo: 2:50am On Jan 05
Oduok:
In bar soap making oil is everything. It determines the quantity, quality and profit you make.

After learning about the ratios of dissolving caustic soda and what it will mean for your production, the next thing is understanding your oils.

I would not bore you with the science of oils as a triglyceride. I won't go into the fatty acid compositions of oil - lauric, myristic, palmitic, linoleic, stearic etc. I won't bother you with saponification value of the oils as the soap formulation most of you have are a bit superfat to accomodate a wide range of oils.

I will be dealing with oils for profitable soaping. I won't mention oils like coconut oil, olive, castor etc today - I talk about them when dealing with bathing soaps.

To make a quality commercial bar soap (laundry and multipurpose), you must learn about palm oil, animal fat, and palm kernel oil.

The easiest oil to use is palm kernel oil. Soap instructors use that for training and youtube. The oil gives a very hard bar. Highly foamy. Infact, I call PKO the king of foam in bar soap. The only oil that beats PKO is coconut oil. However, PKO soaps finish fast and can be breaking.

Palm oil can give you a hard soap too. Palm oil soaps, like olive oil, maybe soft when out of the mould. But given some time set into a very hard bar. The soap will not foam like PKO soap but will last longer. The foam is steady and doesn't collapse easily (excellent foam stability).

Animal fat can be rendered for use as oil for soap. The soap produced with animal fat are very strong and bright in appearance. The foaming is slow but lasting. Fat from cow, pig, fowl etc are useful here. Render the fat immediately the animal is slaughtered to avoid the oil smelling. Rendered fat can stay upto a year without deteriorating.

To make soap that will foam well, bright in appearance, last long, and with lower production cost, then blend palm oil, animal fat and PKO. A good start is ratio 50: 30: 20 respectively.

Greetings.

I want to take out a small space here to tell the story of how I started a soap making business. The essence of this is to help those who may wish to venture into the soap business and also to inspire people to try out some entrepreneurial ventures (not necessarily soap making). I must say that many stories and individuals here have added to my inspiration. People like Cosmeticchemist, Gbadexy, O2 soap (O2 Nigeria), Blackkie (Britishknight or 1kingwriter), Jasper7, through their stories have inspired me so much into believing "I can do it if only I put my mind to it". So I wish to help and inspire more people.

In the course of this story we are going to see how I was able to get my machines, learn and start soap making business. I hope to find time to attend to every questions as much as I can. By the end of the day, depending on how it goes, we may have to conduct a live seminar for those who will want to go into small scale soap making business. If possible, we may consider creating a small group of partners and then crowd funding to help them setup and manage a tangible small scale soap making business. We will also discuss and interact with existing soap makers who are having difficulties in running there business due cost, and map out strategies to move forward effectively and efficiently.

We fabricate and install efficient soap making machines and equipment. We also manage soap making facilities on contract basis. We conduct test run for already installed machines. We train company staff on soap making. We are also open to partnership. Fill free to contact me for your enquiries on soap making business. Check my signature for my contact phone number.

Good day friends and trust we are coping with the current state of things

I plan to resign from my current job by the end of February 2024 so that I can go into full time agriculture. That's my discipline from school anyway.

I've been able to raise just 1 million naira within a year and 2 months and the plan is to plant cassava and maize on a 12 acre farmland I'm about to secure.

6k per acre of land

I also plan to use about an acre for planting pepper and tomatoes.

I hope I'm not making a hasty decision by resigning from my job soon.

Go ahead and start your farm my gee.
You will not regret it.

Just ensure you begin by planting crops like ugu and water leaves etc that will fetch you some cash in a short interval.
Go and ask how much market women pay for a bed of water leaves, and you'll understand that you'll be fine.

You can post your journey and progress on YouTube, twitter, and even here.

It is hard work no doubt, but you'll be joyful.

Car Talk / Re: What Is The Law On Overtaking Police Convoy? Was I Wrong? by CaptainGo: 3:43pm On Dec 13, 2023
Kelvin30286063:
On Wednesday 6th of December, I was driving my family from Ondo to Akure to launch a new business.

We plan to start the event at 12 and it was already past 11am so I was rushing. Along Akure road, I saw this three police convoy going in front but they were not very fast.

I have a really fast car so I was like, I should overtake them and be on my way, I flashed the last pickup with about 3 policemen at the back but they didn't make any reaction and didn't gesture for me to go.

The road ahead of us was long and free, no incoming vehicles so I saw it as an opportunity.

After flashing twice again and no response, I decided to overtake all three pickup vehicles quickly so I switched to sport mode and decided to use my pedal shifter to go faster.

As soon as I revved and started overtaking them, they went crazy and started driving zig-zag on the road leaving me absolutely no room to go.

At the end they ran me into the nearly bush and parked me off. One of them decided to use their vehicles to intentionally brush my car while parking me off the road. They all came down, almost 20 of them and started shooting in the air.

They started shouting come down from this car! Hitting my car everywhere with fist and hitting my glass with the tail of their guns. Somehow my window didn't break even after they hit them 5 or 6 times. (Respect to Acura on that)

One of them pointed his gun at my vehicle and was about to shoot. I roll down my glass and started begging them.

My wife was sitting in front with me and my 2 year old daughter was sitting at the back in the hand of a friend we took along with us to act as MC for the occasion.

My wife quickly collected my daughter from the guy and held her to her chest cos she was already panicking and crying.

I think that was what saved our live cos as soon as they saw my daughter, somehow they calm down a little and started trying to drag me out of the car.

I vehemently refused to go down cos I know I will be beaten or even shot. After a few minutes of acting upset, shooting in the air, one of them that was fat and looks like their leader came down from the middle van.

That was the first time I noticed that the middle van was actually covered at the back which means they may be carrying something. They didn't use a bullion van so there was no indication that they were moving money and they didn't use siren either.

Long story short, the big guy that looked like the boss came to me and said why did I overtake them.

I explained that we were in a hurry and I flashed a few times before I attempted to overtake them and I also saw that the road was clear.

He looked at me, looked at my wife, looked at my crying daughter and looked at the guy at the back then asked me to come down that nothing will happen to me, I took my company's ID card and my guy at the back and I came down.

He checked the ID and said don't do that again. The others were shouting he must follow us to the station bla bla bla but he was calm.

Eventually they let us go.

They damaged the bumper of my vehicle in the process.

I know I was in the wrong by overtaking them without anyone gesturing that I can go but seriously, WHAT IS THE RULE TO THAT?
Especially on highway, with a wider road and not within the city.

I had to apologise to my family later cos I know it was a traumatic experience for them and I accepted my fault but I'm still confused on how I was wrong. The road was straight, long, clear of incoming vehicles and I flashed and horned.

Are we expected to follow convoy from wherever we see them to where ever they are going even if they are driving at 80km per hr?

It is so wrong of the Police. What if you had a medical emergency, or you were rushing to catch a flight or meet up for an appointment?
The least they could have done was to motion for you to slow down when you flashed at them.

I know you wouldn't want to go through the trouble, but the right thing would be to petition the IG and sue the Police. They have to stop acting like tyrants.
Just thank God for your life and that of your family.
