Emeskhalifa: Just some few questions.
1. Why does the world need Nuclear weapons in the first place?
2. Why are some countries allowed Nuclear weapons while some cannot and will never be allowed to have?
3. If peace is what we are all about, why can't those with existing nuclear weapons destroy theirs?
4. If they won't destroy all the nuclear weapons in their possession, does that not mean they have a motive for keeping them? Nuclear weapons serve as deterrent to other nations. Something called 'Mutual Assured Destruction'. As at today, only 9 nations have nuclear weapons. There's no need for more countries to have it. Any further proliferation of WMD puts the human civilization at more risk. |

Morbeta11: [b] https://www.facebook.com/share/1YY56hiebR/ Very well said. The Israelis are a resilient people. Small but mighty. I wish the world would reach an agreement that would let the Israelis peacefully live in the small piece of land they call home. While the Palestinians get richly compensated and resettled in a new location, with a new city built for them from scratch. Though it is quite unfair to tell the Palestinians to forgo a land they've lived on for centuries, and bled for. |

He asked for a plate, covered it and said some incantations and boom meat filled the plate. We were all shocked, but we all are it together with our alcohol.
He also smoked a cigarette and thereafter turned the filter to money after he finished smoking.
He then said with all the power he has now, he is going to open a church and name it prophetic ministry because opening a shrine isn't in vogue anymore.
He is currently in Abuja today running a growing ministry.😂

Politics › Re: Benue: Nothing Like Farmers-herders Clash, CDS Musa Gives Reasons For Conflict by CaptainGo: 10:29am On Jun 18, 2025 |
Bestwt001: This is a bold and much-needed clarification from the CDS. The constant mischaracterisation of these attacks as mere “clashes” downplays the real issues on ground. It's high time political leaders took decisive steps—especially regarding land rights and proper livestock management. Open grazing has outlived its time, and the innocent blood being spilled, like in Yelwata, is a national tragedy that demands urgent action. The military can only do so much; the real solution must come from political will and justice. 💯 I don't know what is stopping states from completely banning open grazing. Animals should be reared in farms and ranches. |

Their mentality and yours is so wide apart like Africa and Australia. Your plans and vision don't matter to these people. They are only concerned about the present; what they can collect and move ahead with alacrity.

Politics › Re: Obi’s Gradual Floating Of Naira Policy Will Not Work - Rotus (Video) by CaptainGo: 8:06am On Jun 12, 2025 |
Lookmun: Two things are critical for any subsidy removal policy to make the people better off. They are accountability and empathy. These two factors will not only get the people’s buy-in but will ensure that the policy has a successful outcome. Just like I argued about NNPC way back that if all you do is remove fuel subsidy, without addressing root causes, there would be a spiraling infation and yet the funds derived from the project will just end up in private pockets. At the end of the day the people would be worse off.
Accountability is showing workings to the letter and not just shouting “see governors are getting more money.” The question is isn’t FG getting more money too? When Indonesia started their phased subsidy removal in 2015, they ensured that they showed the use of the funds clearly and unambiguously. That helped the people to gain trust. Furthermore, on empathy, the critically invested in “shock absorbers” in a very transparent manner. This way, people could trust them to implement phase 2 since they had earned trust in phase 1. Before you knew it, the subsidies were all gone but it was done conveniently and transparently. I get the point you made. But the fact is that Nigeria could no longer sustain the subsidy regime. The country was bankrupt. There is no way to sugarcoat this. Buhari was in a haste to leave government towards the end of his tenure because he knew the economy was sitting on a keg of gunpowder. I am not an advocate of subsidy. The only subsidy I endorse is for Healthcare. |

Agbegbaorogboye: What is fx arbitrage? Fx arbitrage simply means buying fx cheap and selling at a higher price for profit. The official and parallel rates still lag till today. The gap has closed up but there's still a gap. The difference is the access to mop up dollars has reduced. But if you think arbitrage has stopped then I have an ocean to sell to you You are right. Yes, there's still arbitrage. But the gap has significantly narrowed. And more importantly, the country is no longer defending the naira against the dollar. As you already know, before now, opportunists would get dollar at the low CBN rate & sell it in the black market for a huge profit. We made a lot of lazy people multi-billionaires from the old parasitic practice. Defending the naira was depleting our foreign reserve and gradually sending the country to bankruptcy. |

I agree that the amount for this project is too much, especially in these times. But in FG's defense, finishing a house can cost more than building it. And then factor in the wild inflation we are currently experiencing. |
Politics › Re: Obi’s Gradual Floating Of Naira Policy Will Not Work - Rotus (Video) by CaptainGo: 10:13pm On Jun 11, 2025 |
Agbegbaorogboye: Rotus is wrong here. Floating the currency in a knee jerk manner did not pay the fx backlog neither did it increase fx inflow Nigeria had to borrow and issue bonds to get fx into the system. Worse still, our currency became the worst performing in Africa due to the policy and is still at an abysmal 1500/ $1 rate with attendant inflationary pressures. Floating the naira was a bad idea. Even CBN had to later come out to deny floating the naira You don't know what you're talking about. Floating the naira clearly stopped FX arbitrage which was enriching a few at the expense of the country. |

Sorry to say this but you are not worthy to be called a distinguish senator of the federal Republic of Nigeria. wink2015: Counter View: When Policy Lacks Compassion, It Breeds Frustration While Air Peace has issued a strong statement condemning the conduct of a prominent Nigerian politician at the Lagos airport, it is equally important to reflect on the part the airline’s policies and customer service may have played in escalating the situation.
Yes, flight schedules are important, and timely departures are necessary. But what happens when a passenger — prominent or not — arrives barely 20 minutes before departure and is denied boarding without any flexibility or empathy? In many parts of the world, airlines make room for discretion in such borderline cases, especially when passengers are within the terminal and flights have not yet physically left the gate.
Air Peace’s zero-tolerance policy for aggression is commendable — no one supports violence or disorderly behavior. However, zero tolerance should not become a shield for zero accountability. If a high-profile figure like Senator Oshiomhole can be caught in such a frustrating situation, it begs the question: how often do ordinary Nigerians suffer silently under rigid procedures and impersonal treatment?
Rather than doubling down on bureaucracy, Air Peace should also address the core issue: customer experience. Was there proper communication before the gate closed? Were staff trained to manage such situations with professionalism and empathy? Was the customer — like many others — treated with dignity in that critical moment of distress?
This incident is not just about a politician’s behavior. It is a wake-up call for Nigerian aviation operators to reassess how they balance operational efficiency with humane service. Air Peace may have followed procedure, but it failed in perception and empathy — and in aviation, those count too.
No passenger should be above the rules, but no airline should be above accountability. Thank you. The man was there at 6:10am and flight was for 6:30am. There should be room for compassion and empathy. This could be anyone of us trying to meet up with an urgent, important appointment. |

If you can endure the stress, live very far away from work (but consider security and your health) and pay less, but if you think otherwise, pay slightly higher and be in close proximity to your place of work.
No one size fits all solution. Exactly. If that rent saves you the stress of commuting daily, in a safe and secure neighborhood, then it's worth it. |
